Hello all! Looking back on this oh so weird year, my running goals were cut short with a couple of injuries. Got a spin bike and that definitely helped. Thankful for all of you for the support, laughs, tears and cheers.
Hope to be around more starting January!4 -
I didn't run today. It has been raining all day and around 33°F so not freezing, but feels like freezing and windy. So yesterday's run was my last run for the year. Now it is snowing. It looks pretty, but it's late and I'm nice and comfy on the couch so I am not going to run and I will end 2020 with 1348 running miles. As far as running goes it was a good year, but other than that it was a pretty lousy year. I hope that 2021 is a better year for us all. I have enjoyed being part of this group and look forward to running with you all next year.5

So I had every intention of doing 5.5 miles today to get to a round number for the month...but BFF asked if we could babysit her fireworks averse dog (since they are rampant where she lives, and absent where we live...). Her dog and our three had a bit of.....drama....on meeting. So we worked hard at integrating them all. Got a 20 minute walk (all on leashes) around the property so butt smells could be safely accomplished.
Love to you all, and a much better new year for all of us!8 -
Great mileage @quilteryoyo1

Thank you for this and all your support! (I was having a rough day yesterday.) You amaze me the way you respond to everyone. Some days it's all I can do to read and hit the appropriate buttons! Thanks for being you!2 -
Thank you @Teresa502 @shanaber, @quilteryoyo, and everyone for the likes and support - always!
@AlphaHowls I can't even express how amazing your running is. The miles and the dedication. Even if few of us can achieve what you do everyday, we can all take so much inspiration.
Great job on your monthly and yearly miles @shanaber, @martaindale (I haven't checked January thread yet so I'll look for a race update), @quilteryoyo and @kgirlhart! Well done to you all and everyone else who posted and I might have missed or didn't post at all. Whatever you did in this crazy year to keep moving, good for you.
Great December, see you in the new year thread.

December goal: 30.5 km (up through Dec 17th)
What I did: 76.7 km (total for december)
I finished my virtual 5k race and felt great! I ran it faster than I was hoping for and felt really good about everything leading up to it. I was much more dedicated with my training than with anything I've ever done before. I kept my discipline and also focused on strength training and flexibility after every run. I ended up deciding to train for a half marathon that I will complete for my birthday in February. My goal is to simply complete the distance, not looking for a specific time. I'm starting week three of training in January!7
