as with everything in life- whoever cares the least wins.
so it's best to really just never message in the first place. esp if you really want to. if they wanna talk badly enough they will eventually. best to just go do something else to occupy your mind instead and pretend they don't even exist.
and its even more important to not message first if youre a guy. otherwise shes gonna roast you in her group chat. if you have to message then make sure it's the wildest stuff imaginable. picture the faces of her girlfriends when they read it. even if things don't progress you'll be memorable at least and sometimes that's more important because hey who knows you might start a buzz due to the sheer audacity
and god help you if you use bitmoji with her at some point cause then she's def gonna tell you you're old
and never message happy bday. wait until a week goes by and then message. she's not gonna say anything anyhow cause she trynna test your memory. best to subvert her expectations and hit her with that "happy 37th!" a week later instead
Some people need to be put on an ice float and pushed out into the arctic ocean...just sayin
...or maybe need to pay like $60/hour for a professional 'hugger' session
I can't decide
either way, I'll help you out!5 -
Talking about cats is a plus2

Generally I just don’t. Not here anyway.2

Would be nice if someone sent me a message... I think I count on one hand and divide by 2 the number of messages I have ever received. :flowerforyou:4

I don't mind DMs as long as they're not prompted by an ulterior motive.
ESPECIALLY if you have a significant other.
Unless you're single and local, all you're getting is friend zoned. Lol
Well... You might get family zoned, if you're really awesome.

Don't send a DM when you could have made the same comment on my feed. Ex: person sees pic and dives into DM just to say how "great" the pic is as though they are afraid for someone to see what they have to say.

no, I don't want to snapchat.4

My rule:
If you feel like sending a woman a message here because you think she wants to hear from you, she probably doesn't.8 -

Haha, to whomever disagreed... It's true. I REALLY hate snapchat. Lol
I've given the benefit of the doubt a few times, and yeah... Nope.2 -
I reserve DM's for conversations that are too long or specific for a post or feed comment. Ex: discussion about tens unit recommendation and where to buy it. Or the ingredients/prep of my lunch bowl (ground turkey, broccoli, onion, tomato, and brown rice).

messages require too much of a commitment. you'll expect a reply and then I feel bad if I don't reply, and then you'll reply back and expect ANOTHER reply and really. its too much. LOL
I don't even like TEXTING
*kitten* I'm old.
in all (other) honesty though... I don't care if people have a (legitimate) question and send a DM asking. I feel I post enough and have enough on my profile that people can get a feel for me or get to know me that way.
I had a guy who had sent me a message after we became 'friends' and wanted to know about me. dude its all on my profile. married, happy. live on a farm. in Virginia. what more do you want to know? kept asking me what I was here for, or what I wanted from him as a friend. now, it could have been innocent but felt like he was fishing.
he's no longer my friend.
and that's how I deal with that LOL3 -
the most important thing is to be respectful4
