Let me say that I take this with a giant road-truck load of salt, but it's still a little gratifying. Garmin has just given me an age downgrade. It had been pretty much giving me a "fitness age" estimate someplace in the 30s for the past many months, occasionally shifting the estimate up and down by a year or two. Very improbable! But I guess I'm doing something helpful lately, because it now is estimating an even more improbable number. In real life, I'm 65. Not twenty-freakin'-eight. 😆🤣🤣🤣

The other day someone said "if I can you can" and they didn't even know i was losing/lost weight - made my whole decade! without even knowing it I'm use to being asked if I'm "going be able to" do something, so it was a real nice change18

I can fit my moms ring she passed down to me before she died. I went from a size 30 pant to a size 22, size 5x shirt to a 3x. People are starting to comment about my weightloss at work. More guys are saying hi and bye to me instead of ignoring me. I'm getting knuckles. Weird to say, I know. I can walk around the store for an hour and not be in pain or out of breath.27

After adding several new holes, I had to cut about 6 inches off the end of my favorite belt because it wraps so ridiculously far around my body.20

Passed on doughnuts in the break room.25

Glad to see you didn't use straps on this. That makes it even more AWESOME!3 -
I went for my walk and forgot my mask (allergy time) and turned around and this lady said she had one and gave it to me and then she says You Look So Fit! It made me feel good, I said yea I go to the gym every morning and try to eat healthy.9

That is awesome, Ann. Very impressive!6 -
This morning I had my second eye surgery, to remove the other cataract and correct my vision. Much less anxious than the first surgery four days ago, and b.p. was 124/67. Pre-surgery & mildly sedated, the health monitor I was wearing started beeping and a nurse checked. I told her I wasn't dead and she replied, no, my oxygen level was 100% so I wasn't dead. My heart rate had fallen to 49. I knew my resting HR per Fitbit was 56 or 57 but didn't know HR could go that low. Guess my fitness is paying off.20

I don't know how much of a "victory" it really is, but the pants I wore to work today are getting awfully loose.
(Just in the thighs, though! I don't know why so many plus-size women's trousers are like...almost jodhpur-shaped.)14 -
I turned around instead of going the long way around. That might not sound like a victory, but I have a tendency to push too hard too soon when I am recovering from anything. Today, I was able to say "enough."18

Me goofing around after work and still being able to breakdance at 57 years old.17

I tried on a skirt that I am obsessed with and it fit! I still want to lose 5 or 10 more so it's super comfortable but the best part of this story is that I tried it on while video chatting with my mother and she commented about my waistline! More that I actually have one than anything but any good positive comment about my weight from her makes me super happy!18

Genuine NSV... I've accepted a new job offer and am so excited.
Why am I posting that as a victory HERE? Because the interview was yesterday, which was also the first day I weighed in at "normal" BMI for years. Was it the confidence from crashing through that barrier? Was it simply coincidence? I don't know, but I do know that the last time I had a big promotion at work was the last time I was at this weight...31 -
I have the energy to do some cleaning every day and I am enjoying that I can count it as burned calories. Also my personal care has improved. I've been in a good mood today.18

I chose a protein bar and clementines for afternoon snack over Cadbury mini eggs.23

I bought two pairs of pants from the "regular" women's section (not plus-sized), and I managed to get both of them on! Still a little snug, but they'll fit like a glove in no time at all.25

My back didn't hurt in the area where I have the spinal twist until 9 pm, and I got up at 7 am and spent most of the day on my feet doing stuff and also worked out.
I used to only be able to stand 15 minutes before it hurt too much to stay on my feet.13 -
That I'm feeling disappointed and frustrated about having to take time off running and doing the strength and flexibility exercise sessions I was doing as I've injured my knee. Typical that something would happen right when I actually start to feel like I can do it though!9

While it might not be as intense as running, look for seated workouts on YouTube. When my mobility was limited, I started there and was still able to feel like I was doing something positive until my body was able to do more.13 -
So during a WI winter, one rarely sees neighbors. Today, with the temp being above 50, folks were out and about. my neighbor mistook for the slender woman who lived farther down the street. She hadn't seen me in months. And I am still 25 lbs from a "healthy" BMI. But I was so flattered, b/c no one has seemed to notice. I've only lost fewer than 10 lbs since when she last saw me in the fall, but I wasn't wearing a coat. I'll take it!12

Yesterday, even though I was feeling terrible I went and worked out. Today I went for a jog and managed 25mins! Felt ready to stop moving at the end but not falling down tired ☺️ It totally feels like the scale has stopped moving (too much wine) so I really needed the NSV this weekend8

My brand new 12kg (25lb) kettlebell arrived yesterday morning and in yesterday's workout I did my swings with it! I'll move up to 16kg fairly soon, but this feels amazing: I was struggling with 0.5kg dumbbells when I started last May.10

105 days of logging - 3 notches on my belt16

Even though it was snowing yesterday, I went for a walk. I hate the cold/snow. 3 months ago I would have skipped it but I knew I'd feel better afterwards (and I did)!16
-
I had things to do this morning, so I set the alarm for 6am, rather than waking up later naturally with the time change. This gave me time for an hour long walk and my coffee/journalling time before I had to leave the house.
I used to use morning errands as an excuse to go to the drive thru.16 -

Thank you, I'll look into it! I'm going to get some weights soon so am planning to do some seated lifting too.2 -
I reconnected with an old friend from 10 years ago, and it's been opening my eyes up to a lot of things.
I feel a new sense of self-confidence and purpose9 -
after 20 years of shopping at big and tall stores i went shopping at a walmart (which i hate but was with my wife) and bought gym shorts and sweat pants. they are 2x and 3x, but they are still from a normal store. now to get rid of my 6x and 7x that i have been holding on to.29
