My petty reason to lose weight is because my ex would always make comments about how fat I am and ended up cheating on me. I wan get skinny and have him come back to me because I love him...11

Well, years ago my petty reason was because my medical provider suggested surgery. I quickly lost enough to take that off the table. More recently, the petty reason to lose weight is that I am smaller than my new bride's ex and that she is smaller than her ex's new wife. Mission accomplished, but I do want to keep it that way.8

I want to be the fittest of my family. I was always criticized as a child for being obese and I finally lost the weight and looked great but I gained it alll back due to depression. I want them to see I am strong and I dont give up.19

And then I hope you will tell him to get lost once he crawls back, and go find someone who actually deserves you.39 -

I don't have to know you to know that you deserve someone better than this creep.

I see my husband a couple of times a month at the moment and it’s really exciting to look better each time. 😍
My achieved petty goals were
To feel confident enough to stop hiding in maternity clothes ✔️
To look down without getting a double chin✔️
To wear my engagement ring again✔️
To get back the thigh gap✔️12 -

I want to prove them wrong - I already lost some weight last year but they seem to have forgotten that so I'm on it again!
I'm catching up with this thread and I guess the pandemic proved you right shortly after you wrote this we all had to start working out with no gyms!8 -

Oh sweet... you might love him, but he does NOT love you. You don't cheat on people you love, and YOU deserve better than someone who sees you only for your weight.17 -
My petty reason is to stick it to the people who bullied me at school if I ever see them in the street!10

I guess I'm with those that are doing it as a newly single person. I'm also wanting to lose that baby Weight14

I accidentally overheard a “friend” of mine say about me, “She’s pretty BUT has always been thick.” That hurt! I’m only about 25 pounds heavier than her. The next time I see her, I’ll still own my curves, but will be lighter than she is. Yes, that’s so petty, but it is was it is. 😊21

Love yourself first from the inside out, just be who you are.....for you!!
The rest will come afterwards, people who behave like that do not even deserve you and do not deserve to be in your life....to watch you succeed 😉2 -
I want to be able to wear clothes without hiding my arms. I’ve been hiding my arms for years.14

pants to stop pulling across the hips/thighs/butt
and to weigh less than my husband, who is also working on losing weight and I started more than him.8 -
I moved away from my home town to a city my Hubs and I loved, and it was a foodie town and we both packed on pounds. Happy pounds. We moved back to my home town and with that move came all my high school insecurities back to haunt me. So... I don’t want people being like “hey did you see mshawski and how fat she got?”
Plus cute underwear. I managed to find some in larger sizes but the selection was very limited.6 -

She was constantly bashing my weight my whole life and always making comments on how much I eat, or what I'm eating, or how much I'm exercising. It took a major toll. At one point she was 3 sizes smaller than me and she rubbed it in my face constantly. She would frequently point out that I was still gaining weight while she was losing weight. So finally, I had enough and decided to take control.
I know this is four years too late but I face the same problem. First it was my mom calling me fatty and now it's my dad despite watching me work hard and choose healthy home cooked foods. It's never gonna stop o guess😭15 -
I want to be more attractive than my bullies. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm ever going to have a nice body because I don't like strength training.6
