Today is my 17th day in a row walking over 10,000 steps at a rate of 20 minutes per mile. Feels great.28

I had an A1c check last Friday and I maintained the 5.2 even though I went off all meds for glucose control in Dec 2020!! In July 2020 I was at 9.5 so I'm pretty happy with it and my doctor will be too.23

I'm back here after a few years and this topic was highlighted as (13.5K new)
This must be the biggest thread on here.
I better post something other than an observation: I'm getting to like my kettlebells and don't see them as the enemy and found a ton of exercises on YouTube, the 'Press Combo' one is my new favourite; it's like a 6 motion thing where it goes up, back, front, down, it's so awesome.15 -
My Granddaughter is just 18 months old and she has no idea she is my personal trainer, inspiration and motivation all rolled in to one perfect little package.
4 inches off my waist so far, blood pressure down, dizzy spells gone!
It's amazing how 1 small person can have such a positive impact on one large (but getting smaller) person.37 -
This shirt? Was a progress photo at th e end of last month.
it's baggy/wrinkly now.

I can fit into the clothes I wore as a 6th grader. I see that as a partial victory.. it says a lot about how big I've been my whole life, a 6th grader the same size as a 6ft 3 or 4 overweight 29 year old.. but as for progress I'm back down to that size so.. yeah lol mixed feelings but I'll count it as a victory haha30

I had a fruit craving, and was able to eat some fruits and vegetables without vomiting.
I’m pregnant and the nausea is insane, and the last two weeks I’ve been able to eat pretty much nothing but carbs, dairy and meats. A spoonful of berry jam on my oatmeal was a stretch towards eating something colorful, as well as tomato-based pasta sauces. I puked because my husband put lettuce in his sandwich and it smelled so bad. Not exactly a smelly vegetable, I’d say. Things have been improving, and the success story here is that
1) I actively felt like eating fruit
2) I ate grapes and pineapple without puking
3) I felt bad about my carbs-dairy-meats diet and was upset that it was so heavy and unhealthy, and was so happy about fruit without vomiting that it made my whole day better. Learned fruits are important for me, and that’s a nice healthy thing.19 -
wearing a new tee bought in the "regular" sizes. It's an XXL (big boobs!!) but still....REGULAR sizes!!20

My most recent NSV is that I did 2 sessions of jogging of 8 minutes which were hard but not impossible which is good because I have a 20 minute jog planned for Friday that is to be done all at once
Jogged all 20 minutes today! The last 6 were rough with the last 3 minutes being the hardest so far but I did it and without a break liked I had originally planned.29 -
Realized I can't edit quotes to save my life and can't delete things when needed.

So, my primary hobby is dog agility.
They time how fast the dog does the course. For one of my dogs this is also how fast *I* do the course.
It used to be about 3.5 yards per second. Today it's about 4.
AND I DIDN"T WANT TO COLLAPSE AND DIE AFTER I FINISHED.21 -
I don't really know if this belongs on here but... Today I went out with a couple of friends and tried an amazing taco place, but instead of ordering 4 mini tacos I only ended up ordering 2 and I was full after those two.27

Started a new job and they gave me large scrubs to wear and they fit. Not extra large or 2X anymore28

I'm getting into medium shirts in some cases, finally - woo! Also I miss exercise when I don't do it and I notice how good I feel afterwards. Today I had a long workout session with a buddy and it was awesome - weights and elliptical too. I felt like I could go forever.
Note: When I started I could barely do 5 minutes on the easy setting of the elliptical, didn't really like exercise and was wearing 2X shirts.22 -
Well, this one was also from this week as a whole. I actually feel like I look ok enough to be an a selfie.. And I'm participating more in posting pictures and stuff. A little goofy but, I always avoided cameras and social media and trying to stand out. It's still nerve wracking but yeah lol. Have a great day everyone 😊34

More energy. I did loads yesterday and was tired today. After my walk, I said I would read for a while, but the room was messy, so I cleaned it instead. Then just kept going all day.19

Seeing clothes that were too tight and unwearable become too loose and unwearable.21

remember, your family and friends love you, not your "image". They would love to have pics of you. I too was that way for a long time, but my friend reminded me some day my son will only have pics, so I should make the most of them. your pic is fine!! you are doing great.13 -
I can touch my fingertips to the ground without bending my knees too much😀17

I went to Kohls to return some Amazon packages, they gave me a 25% off coupon. I'm not much into shopping but I thought, I could use some new walking shoes. Didn't find anything I liked so I went to the clearance section to look for some t-shirts. I came across a really cute skirt, so I debated. Can't try clothes on in the store, but I can bring it back if it doesn't fit. Now, my husband has been telling me all my clothes are too baggy on me, so I picked up a skirt 2 sizes smaller than what I'm currently wearing. I thought, I'm going to be so upset if it's not even close to fitting. I was over the moon, It fit perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!35

-I did 17 pushups from my toes before losing form!
-I completed Week 1 of a running program instead of quitting out and saying "I can't do this/I'm not a runner"24 -
I have far fewer amounts of food falling on my shirts when i eat...30

Love it when that happens!

I can put a plaster on my little toe by myself (one of my walking boots rubs a bit otherwise). A few weeks ago I couldn’t do that or get my shoes on without help12

my cheeks are concave instead of convex... I love losing my round face.13

Eating more veggies and fewer bread-type carbohydrates. (I was a bread junkie!) Feeling healthier and enjoying the greater variety in my diet.20
