A new month always feels like a fresh start. With the weather warming and bathing suit time right around the corner, I am feeling very motivated. I'm having success with the keto slim fast shakes, 2 a day on most days though sometimes just for breakfast. That being said, I am not doing Keto... I'm still eating carbs. I chose these shakes because they are sugar free and have some sort of oil that is supposed to help with fat loss. Plus they make me feel very full for hours. My goals are to remain alcohol free...that's most important for me personally, eat way less sugar fat and salt, and portion control. Plus walk 30 minutes or more most days. I'll be running after a 13 month old all afternoon today so I am not sure how to count those calories as burned lol. I'll wear my pedometer.9

Starting weight (November 2020): 209
April 1st: 202.2
Loss so far: 8.2 (200.8 this morning)
Goal for July 31: 185
Ultimate goal: 169
I would love to join this challenge. I thought of joining the last one, but wasn't quite ready to post at that time.
I got down to 198.8 for a few days back in January, but then took a week long trip and have been struggling to get back on track ever since. I have been stuck going between 200-203 for the most part.
I have lost weight a few times before, so I am feeling a bit discouraged about starting over again. This time I am trying to focus more on making healthy changes that I can stick to forever. It's hard not to jump onto a new diet though, as a few of my friends have started some and have started losing weight quickly. But I know I always regain the weight as soon as I stop being so restrictive.
Hoping to make lasting changes this time! My goals for now are to work out 5 times per week - a mix of exercise bike, treadmill, and exercise videos. I'd like to get back into doing some stretches or give yoga more of a try. I'd like to add some weight lifting as well, I keep reading about all the benefits.
I am trying to eat more protein, less white flour/added sugars/processed foods. I'm not cutting them out entirely but I do feel better when I focus more on the healthier foods.
Good luck to everyone with this challenge!7 -
Made a salad for dinner in a big bowl and mixed it all up; it was delicious. I figure if I replace just one meal with a salad that will save some calories.
Walking is also a great activity. @nikimarie2019 Love your goals!7 -
My parents eat so wisely. Big bowl of fruit in the morning. Decent lunch: steak, potatoes, salad....
And then light snack for dinner like cheese or mom sometimes has a bowl of cheerios. They eat the European way. The main meal is lunch.
They don't limit carbs or anything but I never see snacks in the home; their pantry is bare. They eat only fresh food that mom buys every day. They are retired so they have time for all this daily shopping.
But I can learn from them. They are healthy and active. I truly think it comes from they have no processed foods (except for Cheerios in their cupboard) or sodas or anything fake. Just real food: vegetables, fruit, steak, potatoes, ....8 -
@JenT304 Love a new month too!! Happy the shakes are working!3 -
Hey Everyone👋
Great to see the familiar 'faces' and welcome to new people. This is an awesome group of supportive, kind, positive individuals!! Have fun😄
My goal for this time around will be to keep losing body fat by adhering to my calorie intake/exercise output according to weight.
I would also like to begin strength training which I know will most likely add weight on the scale so Measurement will be important as well as clothing fit.
-Daily walks will be thing!
-Keep sugar intake very low(preventive bingee eating measure)by not having in the house.
-STRESS needs to be reduced
-nourishing food/ more protein
So in 3 months.....1/2-1lb per week fat weight loss seems reasonable?
I will be happy with just seeing a loss, period!! But specifically 6-10lbs.
As with most things I'm sure goals will be tweaked and changed over the next 3 months but the intent is fat loss.

Good morning! Hoping to hit a maintenance weight before this challenge is over! I’m just not sure yet what that weight is. I’m working at losing 1-2 lbs per week. I’ll be focusing on daily, healthy, sustainable habits and see how far that gets me.

Goal - Lose 15-20 pounds by July 31. Which would put me at a 35-40 pound overall loss.
My birthday is in August, so it would be nice to approach that feeling like I could wear something pretty and go out with my husband. It'd be even better if I could wear something sleeveless without embarrassment.
If I lose 15 pounds, I'll be at approx. 167 pounds. If I lose 20, I'll be at approx. 162 pounds. My current overall goal weight is 150 pounds, although I would need to be at 144 or 145 to be in the healthy range according to the BMI charts. I was at 201.6 at the start of the year.
Also, I may get to go see my daughter who lives in London in September or October. It would be really nice to see her be surprised at how healthy I look.8 -
I am just getting started and have 60+ pounds to lose. This looks like a great group to provide support and motivation along the way. By July I think it's reasonable to shoot for 25 pounds.
Goals:
- Track everything, everyday
- Focus on lean protein and veggies
- Exercise at least 30 minutes everyday
- Limit alcohol to 1 day per week
- Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night
Weigh-in day Sunday
HW - 210
SW - 204 (guessing - on vacation right now)
GW - 140

Welcome everyone!
Today I took my measurements. Wow- I am lopsided LOL
Some strange measurements; the positive is my waist has always been small-ish so that was an ok measurement.
It is the same waist however of my ex husband; I also think I weigh what he does. Gosh!
It's ok! We are starting this challenge and have several months to get those pounds off.

For anyone looking for a good ice cream treat: they have Keto ice cream bars (literally called that) at Costco that are really good (sea salt caramel). With only 2 net carbs and only 1 gram of sugar.
I have been eating one per day so I dont feel totally deprived of fun foods and it sure does quell sugar cravings some how.7 -
@Whatsthemotive My daughter also lives in London and I want to look my best when we finally get to see her once we are all out of Covid Hell. I HOPE it's this year!3

@RubyRed427. I am a circle. My measurements are almost all the same. At least you have a waist!4

Count me in. I started 01MAR21 at 222 lbs and this AM I was 212.8. 20 pounds gone by 31JUL is doable. I've a crazed work schedule as a flight attendant so I'll be weighing in on as many Monday mornings as possible. I've been faithfully journaling my food and blogging my mental processes which are as important as portion control. I'm also using Modere Trim which has CLA which helps with belly fat which is my bane. NSV is as important as a number on a scale. I want to be able to wear my wedding band by the end of the year. SW=222/CW= 212/GW(for 31JUL) = 192/FG= 142(hopefully by 01MAR225

You and me both. My daughter married in May of 19. She moved in December of 19. It took a while for her visa to come through. She moved just after my mother’s funeral. I miss my mother and my daughter. Thank goodness for What’s app. And thank goodness younger sister is in the U S with me.

My original fitness goal was 5000 steps per day but I have increased it to 10,000 steps 5 times a week which I achieved this week. Today is my less active day. Every time I get my period i plateau so I plateaued a few days ago and went up a little today. I think I posted my goals yesterday but I am going to change my goal from 30lbs by July 31st to 25 since I keep plateauing. Fingers crossed!!! Anyway, sounds like you all are right on the ball and losing already. Congratulations!!!
Take care and stay healthy!!!

I am also trying to get back into a medium! 20 lbs is a great start. I definitely let COVID and a miscarriage throw me off13
-
I'm hoping for 30 minutes of cardio + 30 minutes of strength training per day. Both in the early morning. Tracking food. Losing 1 lb per week at least by August.7
