It’s the end of week one for this challenge and I am happy to to say I have been doing really well with walking by going well over my daily goal most days. Today is my rest day due to the weather.
I see lots of other positive reports so I congratulate those who are meeting their goals and I know how hard that can be especially when we are doing everything right but our bodies don’t want to cooperate with us with the numbers. It all adds up in the long run though and the long term is what truly matters. Best wishes and good health to you all!

4/09 142.0 no change... no big deal! I had a couple of days completely off plan while I visited with my vaccinated parents for the first time since October. We had appetizers galore and visited long past bedtime. I am grateful for the time together and grateful that I can hop back on plan today!9 -

That's so awesome you got to spend that time with your parents and enjoyed every minute of it...totally acceptable!!!!!5 -
So, I'm having a really lousy day, and remembered the portioned out "treats" I had in the fridge....and just ate ALL OF THEM. About 1050 calories😩. Feeling pretty ashamed that I went back on what I just said mere hours ago on here.
This morning I truly thought I may have found a solution to this binge eating. I'm really sick of being a slave to refined sugar addiction. I'm mad now and gonna go for a big walk, maybe workout as planned and try not to let this huge slip up derail me completely. One step forward and two back, but then three forward again!!
Thanks for letting me vent & share my failures and successes 🙏

One strategy could be to find out your trigger and have an alternative idea ready! Like have the tea cup, tea bag and hot water all ready to use. Or buy sugar free gummy bears...or just buy a little portion bag of your favorite treat. (not a big bag to portion out).
I know when I used to binge drink once I got started, I lost my intention of stopping. It was never enough.
Maybe that's how your mind worked. I found having substitutes nearby and not buying your treat is also a good idea.
Sending you hugs! I have been there.6 -

Oh boy. Those days are tough ones but try not to beat yourself up. It’s all about trying something, reflecting and adapting if needed. You tried what you thought might work. It didn’t work the way you hoped so just keeping trying something else. You’re absolutely right... 3 steps forward!!5 -
I love listening to podcasts when I walk or drive and I stumbled upon this one called Half Size Me that I really enjoy so thought I’d share:
https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/half-size-me/id502334416
The host has lost over 100 lbs, shares ideas and coaches people with varying goals.
Are there any other podcast listeners out there? If so, what are your favourites for motivation?10 -
Feeling great this week after meal planning, and sticking to plan! This is 100% the thing that works best for me and prevents mindless snacking. I allow 1500 calories per day (I just override the MFP amount) and enter the plan 1-2 days in advance so there is no question about what I’m eating on that day.
