So if anyone would like to tell me how to add people as friends, or send me friend requests. I would be happy to accept. Thanks everyone.
To add friends on MFP on the desktop app:
1) Click on the username in the left sidebar. A window showing the username will open.
2) Click on the username again. The user's profile will open.
3) Click on the "Add Friend" button on the user's profile page. There is an option to send a message along with the request. That's always a good idea - just a short note mentioning where you saw the user, some common interests or goals, etc.
Will send you a friend request.1 -

Morning Steve 🙂 just wanna mention whilst there is a place to add a message they can no longer be viewed. It stinks but that feature was disabled apparently. So, unfortunately people are sending heartfelt please add me notes and the recipient will just see request with no words. 😒1 -
Good morning Middle-agers, I hope you all hit your goals for the day and week3

Thanks, Jo. Someone else mentioned that, too. The programmers should remove the option if it is not functional.
You have to hope they don't think you're a bot. I will change that in the future. I have started sending a note after someone adds me.1 -

I agree , it should be removed if it doesn't work. Unfortunately there's a whole lot of peeps that have probably been declined for not adding a message when in fact they did.
Yeah, I do the same an introduce myself message. 🙂0 -
I’m in my 30s and would like to have some friends. I can get pretty quiet from time to time but I am active and enjoy seeing others success.4

Good to know that now that I'm 36, I qualify for "middle age".
I've been here since 2017, though.. and I was definitely not 36 then.3 -

55 here, so I'm at the upper age of this group. When I run in the mornings, I can reach that state where I am only aware of my breathing and I have few thoughts in my head. How do you carry that peace to the rest of your day? I tend to combat the anxiety with pretzels, which are not the best remedy.

Need you lovely people to keep me on track.
Ut oh..
Yep, although I can kind of put it down to the steroids I'm taking for my lupus.
Non-stop starving
Im sorry to hear about the Lupus, is that a recent diagnosis?
Steroids are notorious for weight gain I've heard.
Yeah - diagnosed in December after a year of agony and misery.
Hate to hear that. For what it's worth you're not alone. I was diagnosed two years ago, along with rheumatoid arthritis at a point when I was in the best shape of my life. The lupus is in remission now (mostly), and I'm hopeful for some progress with the RA. I can't reliably grip a barbell and the meds have me out of commission two days a week, but it could be worse. Hang in there. Feel free to reach out. Thought I was a unicorn.... haven't run across any other dudes with lupus. Take care man.2 -

Good luck! I was able to do that in my 40's. Consistency is the key, and also the reason I need to start over again now.... ha. Have a good one!1 -
Hello MFP. I'm back after a long hiatus to get my healthy habits back in check. Pandemic stress got me down pretty bad and I feel I've gone from Superman to Endgame Thor (Spoiler ). Now 2 weeks in and slowly getting my healthier habits back but would love to rebuild my support network as much of my list is no longer active. Just turned 49 with the goal of hitting healthy perfection before 50!3

That is the best feeling....but I'm not sure how to keep it.1 -
Feel free to add me. Will be hitting 41 later this year. Joined in 2012 and had success then and am back for a refresher course0

Good morning all. 🙂
I hope this coming week your struggles are minor and you have a great week kicking your goals. As someone above said, consistency is key. Get day 1 done, then day 2.. its important to remember that if you do feel you stuffed up, made a mistake on any given day.. remember that you can't change yesterday so don't dwell on it, learn from it and move on.. each morning is fresh and new so make it a great one4 -
Good evening
I’ve been on MFP for a while.
(10 years in December)
I’ve done good at times and had struggles at times, but I never give up.
The last few years have been the struggling kind with a few diagnosis of lupus, psoriatic arthritis, as well as other autoimmune disorders including pulmonary fibrosis. According to medical, I wasn’t suppose to still be around with the terminal lung disease, but here I am. I’ll keep on fighting and I’ll never give up on my health.
I’d like to have some female buddies on here for motivation and inspiration, and it would be so nice to find other ladies with autoimmune issues trying to reclaim their health.
Just a little disclaimer - I’m married to my high school sweetheart, so I’m not looking for male buddies, and my faith is a part of my life, so sometimes that might come through in an update on my profile.

The middle agers group is definitely the group I need to be in 😁. Hello all9
-
We are all saying hi and being friendly, which is great! However, I'd like to know what everyone is doing for exercise. At home programs? Gym? Running? I'm currently doing Insanity: Max 30. Anyone else doing this or a similar program?1

Hello! I’m a 39 year old mother of 3. I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. Trying to make lifestyle changes and balance everything is hard, but you all already know that. Looking for support and friends5
