    Evening ladies,
Alfie snoozing under the covers ,it feels wonderful to have him back..
Did get them out for a couple of walks today which is good for all of us..
My weight is creeping back up as my appetite improves, did but some decent stuff, along with some not so good stuff..
Tomorrow i have hair appointment at 11,so will go over at 10 to get Homer out and take Alfie out before i go.. will corral all the pillows and put them on dining table because someone likes to chew the corners.
Tracy goes for a blood test on the 4th ,and hopefully with good results.. they also froze 3 eggs in case ..
Want to see my daughter Happy so like I said hope it all works out..
Lisa - sounds like you had a busy day..its great when you feel half way decent to get a few things done..my zipper scare is giving me a little pain ,i dont know if i strained to hard picking up bottled water or the dogs on the leash, but im hoping it goes away soon.
My SIL sent me an article on a french company that says they should take all the vaccines off the market, neither she nor my brother have gotten vaccinated and they live with her 86 yr old mother with alzheimers..
Like I have said she knows it all..im fully vaccinated and glad to be..

Barbie-Like your coat! I have a longer deep red Columbia with the Omni lining and it is wonderful-can walk in the coldest weather with it.

Machka-congrats on getting the schedule change you have been wanting. My advice is do what you can to spend time with your husband now-those will be memories for you to keep, much more than extra time at work.

Julie-the place you stayed looks nice! We went with the one we did because of the waterpark-grandkids will love it and I have a feeling the adults will too! Don’t know if youngest son will try out golf course or not. I don’t golf. He is actually content if he is alone-he just love playing different course. Regarding fatigue-I think all of the restraints of the past year are just catching up with people. We haven’t had curfews here (except for awhile bars closed early) but I can go out and walk, for instance, any time I want. I can’t imagine what it has been like for those who have much more restrictive rules. Hopefully curfews are lifted soon-that may help you deal with the other stuff.

Barbie-I understand what you mean about the Cheetos-but every couple of months at least a small bag ends up in the house. I do like salty snacks-so I try really hard to weigh them.

Annie-Congrats on weight! I weigh chicken with bones before I eat it, then weight the bones afterwards. I enter the difference.

Allie-you certainly sound happier with Alfie back (and Homer visiting).

Vicki-staff issues are the worst. Got a resignation from someone today and while it will be difficult to fill the position, I admit I did a happy dance.

Lisa-good job on the outdoors work. Isn’t it nice to feel more like yourself? I understand the feeling you described.

Terri-beautiful flowers. Glad you had such a nice visit-glimmers of normality.

Heather-love your floors. You have every right to be pleased.

Went to see PA at doctor’s office. Told them about my fall. She poked, prodded, had me move in different directions (was impressed I can touch my toes!). They believe that the muscles are still inflamed somewhat. Bursa is showing improvement. Put me on prednisone dose pack for 6 days to try to knock last of inflammation out. Am to keep doing stretches and walking. In a week I can slowly resume my weights/etc. Will work with trainer on that plan.

I did get to see the moon at 4:30 this am-it was gorgeous-right outside my front window I had a great view.

It was 81 here today. Went for a walk after work and it was wonderful.

Going to head off to bed. Working from home tomorrow so if prednisone bothers me I will be here. Don’t expect any problem since I have taken it before. If inflammation is the problem, it should knock it out.

    Take care all,

Did a body pump DVD today. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Mel B Workout DVD. I need to try the DVD’s I took to FL to determine if they are aerobic or weights. I might leave some of them down there since these are the ones I downloaded so they take up less room

Ordered the bubble mower for PJ

Denise called FINALLY! We can’t go up there May 28, it doesn’t work into her schedule. So we’re going up June 11. She said that she had a birthday party for PJ. I admit, in a way I felt bad that we weren’t even invited. The truth of the matter is that we probably wouldn’t have gone anyway, but it would have been nice to have been asked. One of the things he got was a jeep, it has bluetooth and a remote so they (Denise and Pete) can steer the car until PJ learns how to do it himself. And we got him a bubble mower!

Patti – welcome. Please come back often. Great bunch of ladies here.

Went with Vince for his first allergy shot then stopped at the Salvation Army at my insistence. They had this really really nice sweater that I got for ½ price

    Heather – nice floors

Vicki – (((HUGS)))). I know how hard it hurts

Took Clyde to the vet to have his teeth clean. Evidently there was a problem with Bonnie’s blood work so it has to be done. On the positive, it won’t cost us anything. Vince went to Lowe’s Hardware and got some lights to put on the steps to the pool to illuminate the steps. Then walked to Dollar Tree to get some more mats for the cats. See, Lexi was so super fastidious but lately she hasn't. She seems to poop and pee on the base of this one cat tree and on the floor in the mud room. But only sometimes. We can't figure out the rhyme or reason. Now we're thinking that in addition to being deaf she has altzheimer's and she thinks the tree is a litter box. So we put another litter box next to the tree. She did use it once. So I guess we shall see.

Allie – so happy for you having Alfie back

barbie – one of my coats has an inner coat, too

Just checked that mahjongg Monday is at the gal’s house. The gal I asked said that she hoped I could make it. To be honest, I don’t think so. It’s just so much of a trip for so short a time.

I agree and my husband's recent heart scare helped bring that home to me. He is fine in that regard, but the fact of the matter is that he is not getting any younger and he has serious damage to his brain and all the specialists tell me he will start deteriorating soon. Actually, some testing indicates he already has started deteriorating in a certain way (mainly in the area of planning and organisation) and I've noticed the same thing.

I have my 2021 list of things to do, but he and I can do a number of those things together.

For example, I have been trying to find time to finish working on a patio table I started working on in about November. That might be something we can take a couple Fridays and finish together.

Toward the end of May, I want to plant one of our garden beds full of spring flower bulbs so that they'll start coming up in August/September. The garden has become a bit too much for him in the past year so I thought I'd take over that one bed to start with. However, he will help me ... we'll work in the garden together. :)

Some of these things have the benefit of us doing things together but they also get me out of the office, away from the computer, outside, and more active. :)

Machka: Thanks for your advice. I am taking Tums as needed and stopped Nexium altogether until my next doctor visit. It is coming up fairly soon, and I’ll ask for advice then.

We had a lovely visit with our son today via facetime. It was wonderful to visit and I am delighted with the ability to talk and see one another even though we’re on opposite sides of the country. I look forward to future calls.

    Heather: That’s a great job.

Karen: Good tradesmen are a godsend.

Lisa: Your lighter mood is very much in evidence. Long may it continue.

    Off to do

    Good Wednesday,
Up really early.....am sure late night dinner didn't help nor my husband snoring without the CPAP machine on. Oh well, I need to get caught up on some work paperwork. I am amazed at how far I can get behind if I take time off at home. In another month it will slow down (maybe).
I love the house refreshes and the tulips! I have tried several times to plant tulips but between squirrels and dogs, I never saw them flower. Our next home refresh is the driveway and concrete around the house including the front porch-ugh! They are total tear outs with regrading and replacement. It will be worth the mess.
I forgot that our car dealer was bringing me down a Mach E to use this week. It is a sweet car with plenty of power. I probably wouldn't drive it enough to own one. I would be worried that the batteries would be sitting too much. I also seriously have a problem with Ford calling it a Mustang. It is an SUV, not a pony car. If I needed a new car, I would probably consider it. I have it until Friday.
Better get some paperwork done. Easier to be ahead when work day starts. SIL was complaining that she didn't get to the bank again yesterday. She tries to leave at 4:30 as they close at 5. We have been busy and she keeps missing it. I told her maybe she should try to go during the day when we are slower and just come back to the shop ;) LOL!! That comment probably went over her head. She prefers to wait until near end of day, so that she doesn't come back to the shop. We shall see......

    Enjoy the Spring weather!
    Soak up some Vitamin D!
    Enjoy something pretty!
    Welcomes!
    Hugs!
    High Fives!

Good morning all! Happy Wednesday! The nerve pain in my back is gone (woke up pain free on Monday); but now my right knee is swollen! LOL. I am sure it is due to a couple of things. Favoring my left side while I had the nerve pain and also walking through my yard with the kids. Uneven surfaces will always make my knees and ankles act up. Anyhow, we keep moving! It is Superhero Day, today, for my little ones. It is also raining. I see a house full of noise and craziness if we can't get outside. Hoo-boy!
    Heather- The floors look beautiful!
Lisa- Your spa area looks very relaxing! I am glad some of my suggestions were helpful. I vote you string up some white fairy lights around it!
Terri- Your flowers are wonderful! Such vibrant colors! A definite mood lifter!
Patti- Hang in there! Since you have had gastric bypass, I would follow the nutrition plan your doc gave you and get your water in. I agree with Barbie and the others on the exercise. Keep doing the chair exercises and get up and move every hour. Even if it is just a walk around the inside perimeter of your house, every step will help. Baby steps will get you there. Hugs to you!
Rebecca- My son has his legos sorted the same way. He is not an avid builder as your son is; but they are a great stress reliever/boredom buster for him. He had them out for a while during last years COVID shutdowns.
Machka- I see the butterfly! :)
Barbie- Cute coat! Did you get it in the blue? Or did you choose another color?
Michele- Your daily workouts are inspiring!
Katla- When is your new grandbaby due?
Betsy- re: crying- I have days where I just need to cry to feel better. Most times I don't even know why I am sad/angry/upset. I usually need something to get me started, though. Music or a sad movie will always do it. My husband commented on this earlier this year. I explained that I wasn't necessarily crying over the movie/music; that it just happened to be the key to release all of the stress and sadness. I think he understood. Not sure though, he just stood there with a "deer in the headlights" kind of look on his face. I finally told him that he doesn't need to DO anything. Just let me cry. lol

Well, my superheroes are arriving now. I see Spiderman and Supergirl! lol It is going to be a super loud day. No super hearing required. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)
