Happy Monday all, what do we have planned for the day? I have a HIIT workout scheduled and then yoga later. I started a DietBet and yeah...need to buckle down for sure!

Walking twice a day currently. I am too heavy to start running again yet, so a 2.5-mile walk first thing in the morning and another 2.5 miles while my daughter is at soccer practice. Baby-steps...

    47 here.
At one time I lost 100 in 8 months. I never looked or felt better. Had 2 motorcycle accident and had a kid in my early 40s. Fitness went to hell. 188.6lb after and I got diagnosed with diabetes. I know what to do before, but I never did anything about it. Now that I'm faced with this diagnose I realize I have to do something about it, not only for me but for my only kid.

pheewww. I'm scared guys but I have done it before.
If I am able to quit smoking 3 years ago after 30 years of consumption...........I can do this.

Welcome to the next phase, and yes you CAN do it. Take it slow and steady; it took 30 years to get here, so don't plan to get back in six months. But you will get there if you just keep plugging along. Good thing you are starting TODAY. If you waited another year, you'd be a year older when you got to your goal.

for the last year been doing well, have lost 40# since last March. 15# of it since Jan 1 when I started my 6month plan for Gastric Sleeve surgery. but in the last couple of weeks I have hit a brick wall.. lots of personal crap going on in my life that has kinda set me back on my butt. I have little to no motivation to exercise, I am at least still logging my food. That's a good thing I guess. UGGGH.

Hey all, new here but figured would post in this thread rather than a new topic. Would love to make some new friends (I've no idea how to even add people yet).

Brief bit about me, 35, chronically ill, bedbound for 2 years, wheelchair and housebound for 10, finally seen some relief in my illness and able to be more active, and hoping to lose some weight to get healthy again!

    Current/highest weight - 13 stone 8
Initial goal is - 13 stone
Was recommended this app from my weight management therapist so excited to give it a try!

    (M.E/CFS, PCOS, Fibro, migraines)

I’m totally new at this whole thing. I’m 41 and I have decided to do something for me. So here I am trying to stay on track and feel positive as I do it. Sometimes easier said than done but I wake up every day trying my best. Friends are always welcome.

Hello people! It looks like I'm a little late to this thread as most replies seem to be from 2016 except for an update from 2020. 😮
I just turned 53! Where has the time gone!
I've lost about 19lbs since Feb of this year and a total of 53 over the last 2 years. Staying motivated has always been a problem for me especially when I hit a plateau.
If this thread is still active, happy getting healthier, everyone!

Hello.. This is my second time around trying last time I drop from 287 to 244#. Had a accident and was laid up with knee problems and surgery and gained some weight back. Starting this round at 268.7#, but I am up and walking again, but just can't seem to find the motivation this time around.

so when I type here and hit 'post reply,' my answer will go up with all these hundreds of replies. What happens after that? is this the group? I see people saying 'add me' what does that mean? add to what?
