I'm stuck in a plateau! Do I have to give up my daily glass of wine? I feel like I already know the answer...
Personally, I think one needs to enjoy the journey or one will ultimately quit. I for one did not want to give up my beer. I had a hard look at my food intake and made choices. I gave up bread, popcorn, potato chips which were all part of my daily food plan, especially the chips with the beer. I actually started to feel better once I made it past the craving period. I maintain a 500 calorie daily deficit and walk very day, rain or shine. Walking earns me the credit for beer. I still enjoy my beer and most days am under by more than 500 calories. We are all different, ultimately it is your decision what to keep and what let go in order to enjoy your journey. All the best.

5/6: 166 lbs...definitely feel like I’m retaining water so hope to see a slightly bigger drop for next week...but still happy for the amount lost this week 😊
5/13:161.2 lbs! Much bigger drop, almost too much 😳 Maybe scale is off but for now I will take it! Going to continue with several hikes a week, strength workouts at home a few times a week, and two intermittent fast days a week for now 😊
5/20: 158.6 lbs 🥳🥳🥳 This. Umber has made me fat more emotional than I was expecting! I joined MyFitnessPal back in 2014....I was 158 lbs wanting to lose 10....a lot has happened over the years and instead of losing I kept gradually getting heavier until reaching over 200 lbs in 2020....to see 158 on the scale was amazing since I haven’t been in the 150’s for 6 years....so now that I am back to where I started 7 years ago l am finally going to finish what I started ❤️

Missed the weigh in for the last week as was out of town. I brought lemon bars and brownies for everyone. I only ate half a lemon bar.....that is a miracle for me! Good news is I have been going through my closet and it is like having new clothes! Yes, I keep different sizes. You know how manufacturers just can't decide to make a 16 a 16 across the board. So down at least one size...Works for me and it great incentive!
Off for another fishing trip weekend. Bringing the goodies since I am running the trip. I bring other stuff for me, dill pickles, homemade dill green cherry tomatoes and hard boiled eggs. Also have found that Starkist crackers and tuna salad kit is only 130 calories. Add an orange(can't eat bananas on a boat, bad luck!) and you have a decent meal.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Don't give up!

Started to add back in exercise calories this week after finding myself exhausted end of day as the result of having a 1200 to 1500 calorie deficit per day. Still trying to keep around a 500 calorie deficit per day. Walking 12KM (7.4Miles) per day now.
Since Jan 1 this year body fat has dropped 7% while muscle mass is up 6.6%, so I can't complain about this months results. Still sticking to a 500 calorie deficit per day, modified carbs, fat, protein ratio to 40/30/30 at the start of this week after discovering my energy levels were dropping in line with carb consumption last month.
Very impressive how well everyone is doing with this challenge, so glad I found it and jumped in.10 -

Hmmmm... I’m trying to work out why I maintained last month and am losing this month when the calorie difference is pretty minimal. Both months I was trying to stay within maintenance calories and neither month did I succeed. I guess it was just going a few 100 more over last month than this. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m happy to be losing because I want to be right now, but it does make me more perplexed about how maintenance might be. I’ve very nearly reached the top end of my planned maintenance range, so now’s the time to be thinking about it. Part of me wonders if my scales are broken but I can see my belly changing shape too, so I don’t think it’s that. 😂7 -
