caught myself in a mall CCTV footage and wasn't immediately repulsed for once29

we are on a short holiday and I noticed I had forgotten a spare pair of jeans.
We walked to a nearby store I asked for their smallest size high waisted straight cut (27/30) and walked out again It is a little loose but they do not carry 26/30.
Best part: My husband said Whe we met you hated shopping because nothing fitted, 15 years later you still hate shopping because nothing fits but then it was because everything was too small Now because everything is too big.
Yes I really fell right through all sizes
I am almost 4 years into maintenance and still log but do not weigh myself

I jogged a bit last evening and didn't feel any pain in my sides and wasn't panting like crazy. My lung capacity has improved with regular exercise and I'm gonna keep increasing my time22

I ran the ASICS Blue Jeans Mile (1 mile run to promote Mental Health Awareness Month) in my favorite blue jeans and they fit!29 -
I went shopping yesterday. I grabbed a pair of jeans while out. I went ahead and grabbed a size down to give myself something to work towards. I didn't think they'd fit yet, but when I got home, it turns out they did!22

I'm quite proud of my dinner choice last night. I craved pizza, but decided what I really wanted something very carby and heavy. I made myself pasta instead. I still went over my carb allotment for the day, but pizza would have been a lot worse, never mind all of the extra calories.21

This week, I was able to wear 3 pairs of jeans from years ago and 2 skirts that I loved. When I saw myself in those jeans, I felt like I was myself from 5-6 years ago (if that makes sense). Also, I measured, and I have lost ~1in from my hips, ~1in from each thigh, and ~1in from my waist.24

The other day, I went to our local park with my tennis trainer/tennis rebounder/Fill n' Drill. I've never played tennis in my life. (I did play volleyball in school.) But I saw it in a fitness group and thought, they that sounds fun! I don't have a big open concrete area unless I go in the street in front of my home when there aren't many cars parked. I don't want to accidentally hit someone's car, so usually I have to go to the park. Well, I'm 33, kinda shy, and I spent my entire life obese (up until I started my weight loss journey at 24), and so I'm very used to being bullied, made fun of, treated like crap because of my weight. Despite a 100lb weight loss that I've mostly maintained (I have gained around 20-30ish pounds) I still get very nervous about how others are going to perceive my body. There were a bunch of teenagers at the park, and I get it. Teenagers can be foul mouthed, loud, obnoxious, and they don't give a crap. They just want to look cool in front of their friends and be *kitten*. And, well, they tried so hard to get under my skin. I refused to let them, and stayed the whole time I planned (actually a bit longer) despite their heckling.
I know this might not be seen as a typical NSV, but 10 years ago, I would have left and maybe not even made it to my car before starting to cry. I feel like I have gained a whole lot of confidence (and maybe extra patience - but I worked in daycares with infants and toddlers and taught classes to troubled school aged kids and adolescents so I feel like I've always been really patient!). I definitely feel like it's a victory to me.44 -
My pants I bought about a month ago are all getting to big, I wont buy to many more this time as I go down in Size, think I need a belt.13

"Runnin' Down a Dream" by Tom Petty.
For those of you who know the song, you'll know it has a driving FAST beat. It's always been on my rebounder workout playlist; but on the rare occasions when it would pop up amongst 100+ other tunes, I'd try to keep up a hyper-fast high knee jog for maybe 30 seconds or so before hitting ⏭ .
This morning, 'Runnin' Down a Dream' came on and I shifted into a super fast jog for the entire 4:40 song and wasn't even out of breath. Whoohoo!29 -
Yesterday I went for a hike in a natural area I hadn't been to before. There was about 15' elevation change and most of the path was very soft sand, like the sugar sand you see on Atlantic beaches. The total distance was a bit under 2 miles. I banged that out in a little under an hour, and still had energy afterward for errands, meal prep, journaling, and pre-bed yoga. I was thinking about it when I got home yesterday and I realized that six months ago, walking a mile and change on a firm, mostly-flat mulch path wiped me out for an entire weekend, and really Got how far I've come since then.
Also, thanks for the earworm, @MsCzar, LMAO.22 -
Got on a plane last week and I didn't need to adjust the seat belt all the way to the end of the strap and there was actually some room around me on the seat.
Also, I put on a shirt that I had bought on vacation a number of years ago and was never able to wear, and it fits.18 -
Had most of the weekend to myself...Friday evening kayak and short bike ride, Saturday morning walk, then 19 mile bike ride, long Sunday morning walk. Decided against wine both evenings while reading out on the porch, and chose sparkling water and a smoothie. Definitely made some good choices even when I was all alone with no one to see...that’s usually when I’d be eating all the sweets. And hubs even left a nearly full box of Reese’s chocolate chip cookies that I didn’t even touch!
Some of those extra calories burnt went toward a big (probably too big) meal with friends on Sunday evening, but I got right back up for a 15 mile bike and lifting today!18 -
This may seem like a weird one but, I’ve made my bed every day for a week. I never used to make my bed and it always looked so sloppy. It made me feel sloppy. I guess I see it as a sign that I’m caring more about my environment and myself. I want things to look and feel good. I’m worth a little effort.32

No eating out over the weekend. I'm single, and cooking for one can get boring sometimes - I'm used to cooking for my sons, who are large men, and these days, hitting the drive thru after a class is just easier when I'm tired.
But this time, I put more effort into planning meals for the weekend (and not just the week), and I stuck to it. Paid off, too!23 -
I set a new PR for distance swam with 13,000 yards. It took 3:30:01.19

I ran in public, saw some people I knew, felt a bit embarrassed, but finished the 5k.27

I had a MUCH easier time reaching around the freezer to tinker in the back because my belly, though still very evident, is flattening enough to give me longer arms. I loved it!15

Thanks! I get slower once I pass the 8,000 mark.4 -
So a bit of info first, I have 19 yo twins who are 6'5 and 215-230. Someone was just in my house who actually said "How in the world did you make those two?! You're so tiny!" WHAAAAAAAAAAT?24

2 weeks ago i was gutted that my favourite pants wouldn't button anymore. As of three days ago they fit again! :')23

I fit in the ladies snow gear at our local ski hire place. I haven't been in the ladies sizes in the last 20 years.19

When I first got my blue belt in my martial arts class, they gave me the biggest size made. When tied normally there wasn't much room for the progress "stripes". Yesterday in my class, I realized after tying it that there was ample room for my stripes. I also started singing Me Too by Meghan Trainor when I pass by my mirror. Still got a long ways to go, but Im enjoying the progress so far!22

Today I wore a pair of trousers which I'd avoided for years because of the painful way they cut into my waist. They were comfortable and loose. There's nothing in my closet I can't wear now... the choice is dazzling.26

It was Superhero Day at school. I could have sworn I had a Wonder Woman shirt somewhere but couldn't find it. So--I hit Walmart to see what I could find. Nothing in the women's section. Nothing but SpongeBob or Mario Brothers in the men's section. On a whim, I tried kids and found a Spiderman shirt on a clearance rack. It was a kids size 14-16 and looked a little small, but for $6.97, I figured I'd give it a shot. Two NSVs--it fits just fine!!! AND when I got to the register, it was only $2.00!!!! Win, win.35

After several hours of frustrating phone calls, I went pantry hunting for something to make me feel better. Instead of caving to the less healthy options, I chose to eat plain strawberries, which satisfied me. I knew I wasn't hungry and was just trying to feel better. I actively picked the healthier option and didn't even really want the "bad" options.

- I can walk out to my car after work without being completely out of breath.
- I can button up the very bottom button on my uniform shirt.
- I can get up off the floor a lot better than I used to.

Last night, I had some dessert after dinner and then brought in my normal pre-bedtime snack of some fruit gummies. I realized that, as I was about to open them, I wasn't hungry at all. I was going to eat them because it's what I do before bed - like a ritual. I knew I had the calories, I always make sure I can account for that, but I refused to eat just "because." It felt good! I've also weaned myself back to one package of those instead of two. It's the small things that really bring it home how much my mindset is changing.26

Tonight I ate *half a pizza*, stopping when I was full. Only 2 months ago I'd have finished it for the salty joy of keeping on chewing. I'm still having difficulty believing I did it.29
