My jeans fell down, and I hadn't even put anything in the pockets. Luckily (or unluckily), my only witness was my 7 year old, who found it hilarious. Time to buy new jeans.33

Medium. As in: 3X, 2X, 1X, XL, L, MEDIUM!

I ordered shirts online a size smaller and they all fit.18

I think my image speaks for itself!
A long way still to go, but progress should be celebrated!53 -
Taking a moment to really appreciate all that I have accomplished, and how good I feel. From my last blood test, everything, is in the normal range. Started on 9/1/20 weighing 194 lbs. Last Thursday I was at 141.8. I'm truly feeling grateful and powerful.😁21

So I went shopping. I went to the vintage shops and to the cute independent boutiques where nothing was ever available in my size. I tried on a million things and actually enjoyed it! I had sales people in 2 stores tell me I had accidentally picked the wrong size and bring me smaller ones. CRAZY.21

You are to be congratulated. I had a friend who had to have her wedding ring cut off her finger, because it was turning black with no blood flow. Can you imagine? Keep up the good work.6 -
I owned the mountain biking trails this weekend. I conquered terrain features that I normally would have walked my bike over. I did not walk at all this time. 100% time in the saddle!24
-
Managed ten minutes on the bike tonight before my calves started to ache. This is progress. I was only able to do five before.26

I was able to wear a tank top for the first time for my hike this weekend. I’ve always been self conscious about my upper arms so this was a huge step out of my comfort zone. My arms are not 100% where I want them to be yet, but I was happy with how I looked in the tank top. I also purchased more tank tops and even some workout shorts. I’ve always worked out in workout leggings and short sleeve workout shirts, so tank tops and shorts are a huge NSV for me.26

I bought a bike yesterday! I am pretty excited and have already taken it out several times - riding it for my commute and just for fun.
Also, I measured yesterday and today and it seems I have lost about a centimeter in most places - really not much but encouraging as the scale is not moving. Also, weird thing - according to my records my chest has not changed at all. It has stayed the same since being 20lbs less 3 years ago and then gaining...
And question for all of you measurers out there... How do you make sure you are measuring in the same place from one time to another?9 -
This is the definition of NSV, because the scale is no moving much
Despite that, I can really feel myself leaning out. Belly has shrunk. More room in the waistline of my pants.
I should be measuring but....18 -
My BF carried me from one room to another without hurting himself.
That's as much my NSV as it is his (he's been working out)19 -

I was already an experienced seamstress when I started losing weight, and I know the anatomical markers I use in measuring myself to make costumes, so I just use those points.3 -
I almost didn’t workout today. But I made myself. I did 60 minutes of kickboxing.19

Letting karma come to those who deserve it rather than delivering it myself 😏😂24

My brain: "You're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooooooooooo tired from your 5:30am telecon and it's cold. There's no need to do an Epic Treadmill Walk today. Stay home"
Me to my brain: "Go *kitten* yourself Brain. It's Wednesday and it's Epic Treadmill Walk time"
My brain: "Hey, I'm giving you an out. An you're welcome"
Me to my brain: "Sorry, couldn't hear you as I was putting on my gym stuff....."
My brain: "Hey, I'm only telling you the truth. You're far too tired. I bet you won't even make it to 20mins. Get out of the car and get back inside. Oh you're determined...I'll remind you of this when you epically FAIL"
Me to my brain: "Sorry, what was that? Couldn't hear you over my early 00's vocal trance as I epically made it to 4.49km in 45min. What were you saying about not making it to 20mins???"
My brain: "....."
Me to my brain: "Yeah, thought so...."
I actually did my PB last Friday when I hit 4.54km in 45mins, but I'll take the 4.49km today
3 weeks ago, when I started my Epic Treadmill Walk, I managed 4.14km, with sore knees, tight ITB and hamstrings. After incorporating yoga and foam rolling, my sore knees are almost completely gone, ITB issues are far more manageable and my hammy's love me again.23 -

So I ordered a shirt for Pride and it came and I put it on and.... 1) it's a women's cut and that fits me for the first time and 2) I had a waist when I had it on with my high-waisted yoga pants.
OMFG! A waist!!! I'm so excited.30 -

On my weekly weigh in this past Sunday I officially crossed from obese to overweight…. But likely crossed back by the end of the day. That said this obese/overweight 50 yr old man just ran 6.24 miles today or my 1st 10k in 25 yrs(treadmill). 12 min miles may not be setting any speed records, but hey the 1005 cals I burned on the run is payment enough for my efforts. I did weigh myself after the run and was only .5 lbs away from being able to claim that I was officially half the man I was in 2019. FYI I was 425 at heaviest I hit 213 after the jog.52

Two amazing steps! Well done!

I got the results of my latest blood tests today and I'm no longer classed as pre-diabetic and my cholesterol is now back to a normal healthy level.
So pleased about this, and definitely motivated to keep going with the diet and exercise25 -
This morning while getting rid of old clothes (moving and downsizing), I tried on a pair of pants that I could barely fit into before. I put them on, and they fell instantly to the ground. It made my day. (lost 107 lbs. since July 2020). They were size 28/30. I am now wearing a size 18/20.34

I am about to walk out in public, albeit to swim, in swim trunks and a bathing suit top. MY WHOLE MIDDLE IS EXPOSED. And I'm... fine with that? Weird.27

Talked to my GP today and she told me that my cholesterol is down from 3.6 (which was great and rockin') to 3.3.
She also worked out that my BMI is down from 29 to 28 and is nearly normal which is 25! I am now comfortably in to overweight which is fantastic cos I used to be obese!
I texted all my friends to tell them the good news, I am so pleased!20 -
Walking two miles and not tiring out before the kids.12
