Hello everyone4 -
First time posting -- been using the app for 3+ years. It helps me "stay on track" or at least know what I'm putting in my body. Now committed to a fit-weight loss goal -- added exercise back in my life (at 58) and I'm feeling so much better. Happy this "middle-agers" group is here.5

I get my second dose vaccine on Sunday, but I have time to get a quick scuba dive in first.5

41 here. 😊👋🏻 Second time around with MFP. First lost 50+ in 6 months back in ‘11 the wrong way... diet pills. So, of course it came right back on after I stopped them. I’ve come a long way physically and emotionally since then. Trying to learn from my mistakes and take it slow this time, logging faithfully and exercising daily, no matter how much/little. Just trying to be consistent so that I can actually keep it up. I’ve done this enough to know it’s going to take a committed lifestyle change. Looking for like-minded friends. I’m an RN turned SAHM.5

I decided to start MFP 4 weeks ago when I turned 39, I've always been overweight and have decided I'd like to not be when I reach 40. I've got to 10% of my goal but feels like a very long way to go5

You can do this! I started for the same reason. I wanted to do a pull up before I turned 40. It worked! 10% is a great start!!

Oh that's fab to hear thanks and congrats! My husband has built a climbing frame with rings for himself and the kids - I can't believe how hard pull-ups are!1 -

I started my journey when I was 38 preparing for 40. I turned 50 two weeks ago. You can do this! Try to stay focused. Set mini goals along the way. Remind yourself this process is a marathon not a sprint. Stay the course.
Wow and thank you !!2 -

My avatar is me on the climbing frame in my garden (en route to a campus up the board with no feet involved). I can now do at least 20 pull-ups in a single set - at the start of my MFP journey (in February 2019), I struggled to do just one.5 -
So most of my life I've done mutual labor, and now at the age of 45yrs I'm starting to feel like its taken a toll on my body. Joints are killing me now and its hard for me to do push up cause my wrist hurts. Its also hard for me to throw a softball or football with my kids cause of shoulder pains.
I want to get back into working out but I find more difficult to do so with these issues. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thank you for reading.6 -
I seriously need to get serious someday soon. I have been using this as a social site for far too long. That said, I actually logged my food today. Shocking. I must be bored. A boyfriend is required 🤣😜6

Hi All, I'm 36, from the UK and looking to get fitter, lose some fat and exercise more. I bought a Mountain Bike this year and I'm looking to start working out from home.4

Please add me. I’m 490

I’m 45 and about two months and 40 pounds towards loosing (hopefully) over 100 pounds and keeping it off this time. I like the idea of a group that might be in a similar position of wanting to reverse decades of weight gain. Please add me5

Hi, I turned 39 few weeks ago.
At 37 I climbed 7 peaks in Snowdonia and I weighed 110 kg. I climbed 5 peaks in the same year in November in Brecon beacons. Come 2020 I had a surgery in Feb, then lockdown.
On my 38th birthday I weighed 135kg and I already booked to take my friends up Snowdon for their 40th in August. That one peak was so tiring that I had to stop so many times.
Now I'm at 117kg much fitter I still need to drop further to 100kg. MFP has been fundamental in my success to control my food intake.
I started a UK group which would hopefully arrange hiking challenges and share tips as one motivational tool for me to keep the weight off and fitness on.
Much love and respect5 -

Hi everyone! I'm certainly not new to the whole weight loss rollercoaster, or to this site. I've had much success over the years, but I can never keep the weight off. So, I'm starting again. Any accountability friends would certainly be welcome2
