What a wonderful blog post. I agree, happiness and mood has much to do with my own weight (and physical health). Congrats on turning your life around.

Fascinating thread. I came across it yesterday. What I love most is how happy you are There is a saying, something to the effect of "If you want to live a happy life, set a goal". I'm sorry I'm finding you so late in your game but glad I did. I would have loved to shared in the excitement of your amazing journey. Congrats hun, happy for you!3

Update!
Finally achieved another mini goal and got below 150 pounds for the first time in my adult life.
Scale says I have 26.3 body fat and 32.2 muscle mass though I take that with a grain of salt. Either way since I'm testing the same way each time it's indicating fat loss without much muscle loss. I've definitely lost some muscle during my journey, simply from not having to carry my heavy self around all the time, but I want to preserve what I can. 95 pounds lost at this point.
Also I don't have as much "room" for body fat because I'm not naturally very busty so that makes a difference. Also I tend to carry most of my fat on my middle rather than anywhere else. My shoulders and back and arms are almost skinny while I have a fair amount of belly still.
Next mini-goal is to lose 100 pounds total and get to 145.

Honestly - I'm not very serious with it right now. My weight bench is somewhat obstructed and time is limited, so I am mostly just doing some shorter sessions and not doing much with progressive overload. I intend to be a lot more serious about it when I get to maintenance, because then I'm going to be doing some recomp.2 -

Interesting idea - and if I were still an apartment dweller I might. As it is, we use the oven and my grill quite a bit, and I'm best friends with my non stick pan!2 -
