Rebecca--Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope it is feeling better soon. Sounds like Althea time it going well and she is enjoying it as much as you both are.
Kylia--Time to put you first. You can do this.
Machka--Your timing with the saying could not come a better time. This morning I get to work and my gal who has been on vaction goes off on me about calling her to work 3 days before her vacation was over and she didn't answer because I was disrespectful in even calling her. I finally just told her to leave and go home as I was not talking about it anymore. Then about half an hour after she leaves DH calls me to tell me the son of a good friend shot and killed himself this morning. What a shock for everyone. He was 26. Watched him grow up and know he had some issues when his folks got divorced but thought he was doing better as it has been years. So been a rough day as brings back a lot of memories of when our son passed. Life can change in a blink of an eye.
Heather--Hope your visit is going well, I bet they are enjoying your meals.
Work today and have the next 2 days off. I may have to come in Monday and talk with HR. The new lady is just not working out. Friday she came in and got herself locked out of 4 of the 5 programs we use and the only reason she didn't get locked out of the last one, is because I had the password and got her into that one. They she had on so much perfume and oils it triggered an asthma attack. I have not had a problem for years and did not have an inhaler with me. DH was able to bring me one quick enough that I did not end up in ER. What a mess.

Bought 2 hydrangeas today. Plan to put them in front of the barn. Will take out the dwarf weeping willows that just grow all over the place including out into the driveway. I have cut them way back the last 5 years and each year they come back messier than ever. One hydrangea is purple and one blue.
DD and I are picking blueberries like crazy. I have 2 quart bags frozen already and will likely do three or four more this weekend. The bushes are just loaded this year.
I have cataract surgery on Monday. Started putting in drops yesterday. I am so not good at this and will have to do even more after the surgery. These are antibiotic drops and t hen add steroid drops after. I will be glad to have it done.
Everyone take care Sue in WA9 -

Vicki ... so sorry to hear about your friend's son and the memories it brought to mind ... hugs1

Vicki - (((HUG)))
Sue WA - we had a weeping willow at our first house. That's when I vowed "never again". Good luck with the surgery
Went for my nightly walk but it started to drizzle so no mahjongg by the pool tonight. I will probably work on towel toppers. Think I'll go to Dollar General tomorrow and see if they have more of the towels I like then I can work on them for the board at the condo. Went to Michael's and got yarn. Didn't realize that I had some of the pink and white so I'll probably take some back.

Did my dumbbells and ate within calories today. Yay! That's a one day streak, which is how all the longest streaks started!

I've started doing something else too ... using Grandma's "good" dishes. All my plates were dirty the other night and I didn't want to eat on paper, so I pulled out my grandmother's china! Seriously, it hasn't seen the light of day in years ... what good is that? I had to explain why women even had china to my 23 year old son. His generation will never use it, so there's no one to leave it to. I'm going to enjoy things now.

Mine's in a glass door cabinet so I can see it all the time. But we don't use it because we don't entertain.

Felt better this morning, but my night was restless sleeping. Our traveling to Beaverton was arduous! The Shakespeare festival was a handful of tents, and Athena had more fun playing with dragonflies that were lighting on ropes separating the public from the "fighters" playing with plastic swords.ππ. We ate lunch at a Red Robins restaurant, and though she only hate French fries, she sipped almost 2 orange juice drinks. Definitely dehydrated! Her momma told her to take a break and she stuck out her lip and her eyes got watery. One lone tear, then son made a funny face and her mood improved, Bing, like that! Even her sad face is so stinking precious!πππ. She is more taken with Pawpaw, than grandma. Goes to figure, as she is a defiantly a daddy's girl. But she had fun with me, giving me high fives, running around a tree in the area, then running back to me to touch my hands again. Her play is simple, repetitive, and sweet.π
I had a apple fritter and coffee for breakfast, then a croissant sandwich tomato, bacon, avocado, was supposed to have turkey, but they were out, no biggy, just deduct the turkey, and add another tomato slice. Everyone's meal came but mine, so I wouldn't have to feel bad, she gave me a basket of fries. Really? I didnt order fries, but onion rings so husband and I could share it. There was no fries charge. I had a beer. Life happens. π
Tonight its relaxing, and tomorrow we meet son, wife and Athena at great grandmas house! My Mother inlaw decided on salad fixings, being that husband requested to keep it light. My husband requested that she doesn't do the family tree call out to everyone, as son isn't really a crowd person. Its nice that she understands.ππ
Monday we head to Seaside, and explore the shops there. Staying at hopefully the Shilo Inn. π
Hugs ladies!
Rebecca
