I recognize the loonie
Now you need the toonie...
Canadian money sounds funny right 😅
And the American quarter.
Where are the rest from?
I had a Toonie somewhere. Is it true you can actually remove the middle of it?
My aunt's dog ate some of my US dollar bill, true story hahaha. At least Canadian money is durable, even though I just asked about defacing it lol.
Most are the $2 Aussie ones, I had some more at one stage but spent them.
UK Pound Sterling and NZ Dollar are in there.
Crying Canadian here: please don't tear up a twonie 😭 We do such fun stuff with our coins. You'd love them all for your collection @amorfati601070
Lemme rummage my wallet to find a colorful coin I got back from the grocery yesterday.
ETA: This is a quarter (0.25 $) piece from 2015. Even though it has been circulating for years, yesterday was the first time I saw it...

It was like the first thing I tried to do when first got my hands on one when I was in Canada haha. Its a cool design tho. I don't think we have any coins like that here (Aus), maybe because of people like me lol.2 -

thank you very much.
I prefer to hold things instead of imagining I have them.
I used to have a dh/dw neighbors and they had these huge glass jugs, filled with pennies. A few jugs, and they had sooo many. I'd love to know whatever happened to them and if they had any value to them.
When my ds was born back in 1981 I started saving the Kennedy Half Dollars for him; don't know if they'd be worth anything now either but he ended up with a whole bunch. Always fun to feel and hold things like that, if only for the sensory aspect of it. And I'll probably never have a Kindle, real books are like gold to me.

I’ve heard of people being able to break the toonie or have come across a broken one, in the middle like you said. But it’s extremely rare. I haven’t.
Yep our money is durable idk if it could survive a dog tho🤣 our bill is plastic.
Thanks for sharing, I’ve not seen Aussie money before. And the rest.1 -

I assure you that your handwriting is not the worst thing on a dollar bill.3 -
A bit of high school nostalgia. My old yearbooks were dug up over the weekend.
High school sucked, and even looking through the yearbook pages some 30 years later, I still gravitate to the people I wanted to notice me and the groups I wanted to be part of.7 -
If we all report a bunch of posts in the masked thread, can we get it shut down?7

I’ve been watching The Vow documentary on hbo - and it blow my mind how seemingly super smart successful ppl fall so hard for such bs - it’s an interesting watch for sure4

I wish I could tell all those people who told me to stay cool, that in fact, I still am 😎8 -
Just an espresso maker. Mine broke 3-wks ago... still can't find a good or working one. Already returned 2 broken ones.
I think I'm gonna have to buy a Starbucks franchise instead.
I can't take one more day of improper caffeine consumption.1 -
I am not going to disagree with this post. I am, however, going to say that your thread is full of some weak minded people who are just following the light without knowing where its going. There are two or three in there that I would like to grab by the ears and knock their heads together.
And thats all I have to say about that.5 -

1. Thank you.
2. Well, yeah! It was only supposed to be like a poll type thing but I've actually learned a lot about vaccines and stuff from it.
3. There haven't been all out brawls or anything so that's a plus.1 -

I've had better luck ordering these online directly from a manufacturer vs a store front. I just feel like the ones in the store are always broken. That being said, I did return a DeLonghi that I got as a gift directly to them after reaching out to them about broken machines. They replaced mine free of charge and I've not had a problem since.

She's most likely no longer here but if anyone knows her, I could really use some help finding her.
Her username was something like Kashmir?Kashmer?
Thank you!

lol I was gonna say: it was started with the best of intentions 🙌🏿
Yet even I avoided it after Page 1 😉
I have boundaries for conversation and/or news topics that I don't cross very often. Keeps me (somewhat) sane 'n stable.
