I'm really looking forward to the journey with you all. I get really lazy and depressed during the winter months so developing healthy habits over the next 3 months will help me now and it will be easier to continue that during the winter months. I'm an active 70 y/o, 5' 4", and feel pretty healthy overall--except for the extra weight. I plan to do a formal exercise program 6 days a week (like treadmill and resistance training to start) while focusing on nutrition & hydration. Nutrition is challenging because my calorie requirements are low at my age. Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed!

Hello! 33F, starting using MFP again at the end of May after not the best lab results, I want to improve my health and be able to start hiking again without worrying if I can make it a few miles. Like most, my weight has been up and down over years but this time I feel like I am in it for the long haul, I'm learning how to cook healthy foods and making healthy habits.
May 28th 2021 Weight- 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight- 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 220.4lbs
Challenge end goal- 205lbs
Sunday will be my weigh in day
08/01- 220.4lbs9 -
Hi, Thanks for setting up this Challenge. Accountability is exactly what I need. I'm new to MFP. I've put on quite a lot of weight in the past 2 years mainly due to comfort eating and too many glasses of wine. Life has been very stressful and I have a habit of turning to food as my safety net! Perimenopause is not helping either - finding it very easy to gain weight but difficult to lose it. I will weigh in on Friday mornings.
Starting Weight: 13st 1.5lb
Goal weight: 11st
Challenge Goal Weight: 12st (but hopefully a little bit more!)

This group is amazing and it’s so nice to see new “faces” 😊
My goal is to lose 15-20lbs but for this challenge I have bought a new scale that shows body fat and BMI…although these numbers won’t be actual, they will be a good guideline. So my goal is for the numbers to be in the healthy range and if the scale shows 139lbs at the end, perfect! My weigh in day is Sunday!! Cheers to a great week!!!

You are only able to edit your post for the first hour after you post it, then that option goes away. To edit a post within that time frame, you click on the gear icon on the top right of your post.
For weigh in days you can repost your list with the new weight added on. I have my list all ready to go on google docs, though any word/note program works, my plan is to add my weight/notes to the doc each week and then copy and paste it to this post.

@helloQi,
You could highlight all your information that you want to keep and copy and paste it in the blank reply space. Then all you have to do is add in your new weight or whatever new information you want instead of writing it all by hand.
This is the only way I know how to do it, once you get used to it, it's easy and simple.
Hope this helps! 😄3 -
Hit my step goal today & I’m back on my Intermittent Fasting regime . So thankful for all this wonderful support7

I need to lose 15 pounds (157-15=142), and my brother is getting married October 31!
Going through some health challenges so eating a little more carefully than usual, and trying to keep cookies and such out of the house, which is hard because I am not the main shopper!
Right now trying to incorporate more protein into my diet (like eggs, chicken, salmon); and avoid the cookies, danish, ice cream route.

I don’t find the editing function, so I have to post my new data every time.
You can find your last post and click on "quote", and edit it from there as a new post.
Alternatively, some people save their data in a document, then they can edit it each time and copy it. I use a Google spreadsheet to keep my data, with code to compute gain/loss etc. If anyone is interested, I can share a copy of my spreadsheet and you can make it your own.7 -
Just saw this. I want in too! Fairly new to MFP, 5/14/21. 64 yo, 5'4" This will be my first challenge. Started a new job 9/14/20 and lost 12-15 lbs without trying. (Less stress at work w/o a micro-manager boss. I'm a RN.) Had emergency gallbladder surgery 5/3/21 and lost a few pounds recovering and while re-cooperating I read up on Keto. Doing Keto/Calorie restriction(Approximately 15 g Carbs and 1200-1000 calories). Wasn't losing well at first and with help from LCF adjusted the diet (to less fat grams) to what works for me and doing much better. I weigh myself daily. Keeps my head straight and mind aware, but I don't worry or panic about slight upward ticks. I tend to have an up-tick on the scale before I drop. I don't know why. Maybe my body hangs on to water before a drop.
Lightest wt. and Ultimate Goal again-122 lbs 12/2009(kept it off for 5 years)
10/31/21 Goal-190 lbs?
9/14/20-255 lbs (Heaviest-second time)
12/15/20-243 lbs
5/3/21-240.5 lbs (surgery date)
5/14/21-232.2 lbs
8/1/21-212 lbs (Hoping for under 200 by end of August, by how I have been losing, but I know it will slow down at some point)10 -
