I hear that after the homefield advantage last year for Tampa Bay, the NFL has decided to play all future Superbowls in Dallas, so as to completely avoid the chance of it happening again.

NFL season starts tonite - I’m always optimistic this time of year - but will likely get my heart broken once again - mindless fandom is a decent distraction 🤷‍♂️

I've been having some health issues. I was hoping the doctor or nurse could just answer a few questions to ease my mind. Nope...had to make another appointment to go in.

Sorry to hear - that type of anticipation sucks - hope it’s not serious

Nah not bad. Just made me laugh a little. I would have expected some Insightfuls but not Inspiring.
I am somewhat of a newbie on the quotes thing. Was trying to not have a lot of nested quotes and obviously did not know what I was doing 🤷‍♂️. The way it previews vs the way it posts are not the same. Confused me. Now I know.

Taco Bell is absolute garbage. In the part of the country where I live, you can get quality comparative items from an authentic Mexican restaurant for about the same price or even slightly cheaper. With all-you-can-eat chips and about nine different salsas to choose from. Last time I went to Taco Bell, costed me $15 and some change for something that would have costed roughly $12 from the Mexican restaurant. Never again.

I guess one positive thing can be said about Taco Bell: late at night when most other restaurants are closed and you have a case of the alcohol munchies, Taco Bell is still open

That's the best time to go get a Doritos Locos taco, IMO.

    The pairing turned out well

    Welp, I’m finally hungry.

Pan-fried, homemade cornmeal battered orange roughy

    Fried okra

    Sweet cornbread

    And a Riesling.

And, a sprinkle of homemade Cajun seasoning.

It would not occur to me to serve a Riesling (or wine at all) with fried fish. :joy:

Very much an old-fashioned, shot of whisky or beer type meal.

Also, nice selection on the Riesling. It's good. :yum:

How much I love my city. With only 30 min for lunch and not having been outside yet for the day, I managed to kill two birds with one stone by grabbing...

    * 6 fresh bagels from the bagel shop
    * 3 oz fresh mozzarella topped with basil from the Italian market attached to a resto
    * roasted peppers and a lentil salad (from the same place)

...with 10 min to spare 🙌🏿

The "bagel-wich" I just made almost made me cry. What can I say: I'm a simple *kitten* 🤷🏿‍♀️

I would too except it wasn’t even 1300 and Am saving that for tonight if I drink tonight at all.

Duh. Always go to where the authentic is.
Not no bootleg, wannabe, uncultured, mimicking, you can try but can never BS.

If I go to a Italian restaurant, the cooks better be Italian.

    Fantastic selection of Irish Whiskey!

Thanks, bro. The Redbreast 27 is in a locked cabinet. :-)

I've already started trying to procure another bottle because it takes me about a year to get one.

Edit: Although, this weeks been absolutely fan-effin'-tastic for me so maybe I'll bust it out and pour a finger later.

Welcome!
