@chris5602. I use free weights and resistance bands. I have dumbells from 5lbs to 35lbs. Lighter weights for the upper body and the heavier ones for the lower body. I have been doing the Sidney Cummings "Summertime Fine" challenge and she incorporates a lot of weights and pushes you to try to go heavier as you get stronger. Following a program has helped not over-focus on one set of muscle groups but work on the whole body. Hope that helps.4

December 1998
9/10/21
I don’t seem to know exactly what I am doing in a photo post, sooo…the first picture is an accidental photo of my third replacement wedding ring, size 7 (first was size 9, second was size 10, then an 8, then the 7).
The second is Christmas 1998 at my highest weight of 450 pounds
The third is a photo from yesterday, celebrating reaching 225 pounds. I have now lost half of my body weight.
Thanks for putting up with that!50 -

Thank you all..
Unfortunately the biggest reason I had literally not gotten off my A S S was that aside from obviously being overweight I only had hypertension that was under control with a minimal amount of BP meds. I had been given so many chances as my weight increased and my overall health remained ok. I just decided the party had been going on long enough it was time to try to do something about it. Figure I want to be able to do for myself for as long as I can and not become someone’s burden to take care of me because I was to lazy to do something about it… we’ll time to suit up and do my Sunday 30 min WO13 -
This is me last night after my husband insisted that I go out and buy something that fit, so I could have a Hell Yeah! outfit.
This is me 12 years and 228 pounds ago. I’ve posted here before, but the pictures had to be clicked on to be seen because I didn’t know what I was doing, so I don’t think that many people saw them. I start the process of preparing for an abdomoplasty once I’ve lost 13 more pounds. I’ve promised myself a consult with my plastic surgeon for Halloween 👻!
Happy Sunday!

Ha ha Thanks… I am a Saucony *kitten*. I have 6 pairs of them. I have 3 now in rotation and I’m about to retire 3. Donating them likely. Just got me ones in the pic. The endorphin pro 2 with a carbon fiber insert. I have been digging them for sure.. A few of the others in the pic are the wife’s as well.5 -
@LiveOnceBeHappy & @springlering62 Thank you for the kind words! They are deeply appreciated.1

I posted my full success story last week about my journey titled "50 by 50" Birthday Challenge in another thread. You can read about it here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10843872/50-by-50-birthday-challenge#latest

Thank you for posting these pictures. Over the last 12 years, I’ve lost 230 pounds as of today (my pictures are a page back), and everyone keeps telling me I don’t look “fat” anymore. But I’m having trouble believing it. However, after I have my skin removal surgery in December, I should weigh about 185-190 pounds (my abdominal skin weighs about 20-25 pounds) and *you* only weigh 185 pounds, and I think that *you* look totally normal. So now, I’m a little more inclined to believe them, since I’m only actually losing another 11 pounds before I have surgery and magically lose up to 25 more pounds! Maybe I will be straight on to maintenance after my surgery after all! Yippee 🥳!!!

Losing your double chin is a Non Scale Victory that is in the top of the clouds! It made me so happy the first time I noticed it on me. Congratulations! Your hard work is paying off! 🥳🥳🥳

Thank you 🙏. It made me teared up. Prolly amplified from the sangria I just enjoyed this afternoon. But no no I truly appreciate the acknowledgment…. I went for 7 mile jog on Wednesday so I know I’m at least trying to keep things going for the next 30-40 years.10
