Heather I hope you have a fantastic time Celebrating your Birthday!
Michele we must have been on the same wave length! Yes I still do the kettle bell. Not as much while I'm taking care of the horses. There are 12 horses and 2 mini's here. It is a hour and a half to 3 hours of back breaking chores! In the spring when I first started helping here I actually prayed that I could get through the chores. That was at my hight of fitness with the kettle bell. Now I am more physically fit then before. I went through excruciating feet and leg cramps at the beginning. I had to roll out of the bed onto the floor a couple of times they were so bad. Pickle juice really helped! Now I consider it a great aerobic workout with a lot of weight lifting. Shep is here at the ranch and loving life! He still will sit by my car when I leave but I think it's just to make me feel loved <3 What is BK? Good luck with the training. It looks like you still do the different workout videos.
Rebecca I'm OMAD with possible snacks now and then. It's great about your complexion! I started the IF because of my Lymes because it gives your body time to eliminate the dead and dying cells. It sounds like it is working for you!
Pip your floor is beautiful! I love your place!

Mary and Rebecca- now I dont feel so bad because my son is the same way, only calls when he needs something.. well basically my daughter too,but both of them work and Tracy is married has a teenager, husband and a new baby on the way..
Slept pretty well and am Just relaxing in bed before starting my day
2 weeks till the wedding and less than 2 weeks until I fly down to Tennessee.. will check and see if there is a place that is inexpensive to park..
Its much easier to get dropped off and picked up ,but everyone is busy..Trudy doesn't want to drop me off as she would have to drive in rush hour traffic on the way back..
So will look into other options, was going to have Dan drop me off and pick me up,but the have him basically working full time hours which is great..but he goes in for 7 and i have to be at the airport for 7:15.. ill keep looking.

    October Calendars

If you're interested in following some ideas each day in October for "Optimistic October" or "Mental Health Month". :)

    This month's theme: Optimistic October
Especially when things are feeling a bit tough, it can help to set some goals. Making goals achievable and ensuring that you have a few short term as well as longer term, more ambitious goals helps us feel we're making progress. It doesn't matter if your goal for the day is something really small, the important thing is to give yourself the opportunity to feel like you've achieved something and to celebrate that! This month's calendar is full of ideas to help you think about how you can put this into practice.

What three things are you looking forward to this month?

    Me:
    - time off. I'm taking days of leave here and there throughout October. Of course, we can't travel yet (COVID) but I can still enjoy time off
    - cycling. This month's exercise focus is going to be more on cycling. With DST starting and with time off, we should be able to cycling more
    - spring! Yes, last month was the first month of spring, but this month has the advantage that flowers are really coming up and blooming, the weather should be warmer, and we'll have DST!

Find something to be optimistic about.
    • 3 days of relaxation after two long, stressful days of medical procedures and tests
    • DST
    • Cycling in the evenings now that DST is here ... :)

    Heather -
Happy birthday once more! If I've got the timezones right (I seldom do), you should be celebrating with the grands about right now, or you're about to. Hope it's grand, my dear, and certainly well deserved.

Rainy Saturday here in Arkansas, at least through the early afternoon. Restful, peaceful and serene. Need it - didn't sleep until 2 a.m., and then up again at 6 a.m. There are worse things. I can nap whenever I need to during the day--and Egg is showing me how... she's doesn't want to get her feet wet, so is curled up on the couch. Smart kitty.

Back to following pig trails around the Internet - that's about the limit of my ambition today,

    Later, y'all,
    Love,
    Lisa

Barbie thank you for the new thread!

    Heather Happy birthday! 🎈

Things are more of the same around here. I lost a few pounds in August and gained it back. The weather is gorgeous now, though. We had so many bad storms in August.

I've been reading my mom's adventure romance books. Sandra Brown and Linda Howard. It's great entertainment. But sedentary. I haven't been to the gym since Covid started. Too risky for me.

Heather – Happy 72nd Birthday!!!!!

Carol – Good news for your vision. Once the cataract surgery is done you will be able to see better, a very good thing. I hope it all goes well. :star:

We have a bright, bright sunshiny morning here in Halloween Town. We've had the pleasure of seeing River Otters swimming this morning. I'm thinking of getting out some Halloween decorations. Last year we had only one trick or treater. Getting the decorations down from the garage attic was a chore, but not as difficult as getting out our Christmas decorations. We have lots more Christmas decorations, fun to put up, exhausting to take down.

We lost our sweet old dog to cancer a while ago and we miss him. We are looking for another pup as early as we can find one in the new year. We'll be happy with a girl or a boy. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will find a happy, healthy puppy.

Hello, I am starting over again for the umpteenth time. I do not have a support system and find I lose my determination frequently. I would love to be able to find a bit of encouragement and companionship as I try to lose the weight I put on during the last two years and then continue on until I reach my goal weight and hopefully get off medications and pick up dancing, hiking and kayaking again!

The leaves are changing and the weather is cooling down, wish I could go out walking!

    Welcome Malyna,

You can do it. Fresh starts are all about the new!

Pip the floors are lighter and brighter. How do you like them? I'd be worried about being able to keep them clean but I'm a mess.

    Heather Happy Birthday!!

Rebecca - I'm sorry to hear about your son. Time really does seem to help. Keep reaching out occasionally though. When he's ready he might not know how to reconnect.

Michelle - I remember when I first started working at Waffle House (way back when) you weren't allowed to be on the floor until you had the whole menu memorized and the 10 steps of service. Manager was shocked when I had it done the first day. I didn't want to 'wait' so I buckled down. Hopefully your training isn't too boring.

Mary, it wasn't complexion per say, its called lichen sclerosis. There isn't a cure, doctors mostly just shake their heads, and give you steroid cream. But I used the cream every night for a month, then every other night for a month, then 2 times a week for a month, and that's just the maintenance the rest of your life. I noticed no symptoms, so after awhile no need for it. Its a disease that can compromise daily living, so the fact that I don't have symptoms, that makes me really happy. I think its connected to lower my sugar intake, and fasting.👍😁
