Last night for dinner I tried a yummy new recipe; trout in a lemon, garlic, and butter sauce. It was really tasty! I am also being very mindful of portion size. I bought 1 potato to split with my husband for a baked potato but it was so large I ended up cutting it in half again and only had a quarter of it. Even that little bit felt decadent, with butter and sour cream. My 84 year old mom has lost 20 lbs eating what she wants, but controlling the portions was the key. This has inspired me to try it this way as well.

Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hasimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
11/1: 203.4 lbs - 20 days out from my half marathon and no motivation to train.
11/2: 202.6 lbs - yesterday was a good day eating wise but not much exercise.
11/3: 202.4 lbs - I was able to get in a run yesterday and my husband made an awesome GF lasagna. good day all around!
11/4: 202.2 lbs - Not much activity yesterday but I kept my calories in line.
11/5: 201.6 lbs - I weighed in much later today which is probably most of the decrease. I ran 2 miles yesterday. I am 2 weeks out from my half marathon and couldn't do my last long run last weekend bc I was sick. So I broke my 12 miler over today and tomorrow. I ran 6 this afternoon and will run 6 tomorrow morning. I am eating gluten today bc Chick-fil-A chicken tenders sounded way too good after my run but I only ate half my fries bc I was full. Have a great weekend all!!8 -

Hi Everyone! I just joined Premium and was looking around to see what's new and found this. I think this challenge is a great idea! Today is Nov 4, but I've been dieting for about a week now, so feel like I'm not too far behind. Like a lot of people, I've put on weight over the past 2 years and really want to lose it to feel lighter and slimmer! Good luck all!

I’m whittling it back down, NOW, before it takes up residence!
I also found out I’m 5’8” now (1/2” shorter than I was in 2015) so once I get back in my maintenance range, I will set a new, lower maintenance range- to be more in line with shorter height.
Thank you for this challenge!6 -

Welcome friends! Good to see all of you!
Heaviest: 191
Last three month challenge lowest weight: 178.2
Today: 179.1
So, my starting weight is 179.1 lbs.
Goal 165 by the end of these three months.
My lowest weight in the last decade has been 154. I felt so good and healthy.
New favorite quote: "If not now, when?"
Today I'm taking my summer clothes in my closet and bringing out my winter clothes. I had hopes that the winter clothes would be too loose. Sigh. They still fit. I know basically I've stayed the same.
My sister made me laugh; she recently called her credit card company and told them, they were not to accept any more charges to WW (weight watchers). She is tired of gaining and lose the same 10 pounds for the last 20 years.8 -

Hello! I’m 34F, 5’4 and started using MFP again at the end of May and feel like I am in it for the long haul this time, learning how to cook healthy foods and creating healthy habits.
May 28th 2021 Weight 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 204lbs
Challenge end goal- 190lbs (Firmly into onederland)
Sunday is my weigh in day
11/01 204.0 up a bit from yesterday but had double my normal sodium intake yesterday. It makes for an even number to start out with
11/07 205.8- +1.8lbs, had an imaging appointment the next town over was stressing out for, didn’t eat beforehand day of, then went shopping and brought so many treats plus fast food for lunch and dinner. That was the only day I actually went over my bmr but was over my calorie goal more often this week. Plus side, results of imaging were good news.

Well I didnt get to the 180 or below. Had an uptick to 181.8 lbs but I was true to my calories, carbs, water and exercise so just a normal weight fluctuation. So I lost 30.2 lbs during the 3 month challenge. Which is excellent!
So starting 11/1 at 181.8 lbs with goal of 15 lbs for the 3 months. This 10 lb average / month that has been going on has got to slow down soon, I'm thinking.
Welcome back to past challengers and to the new ones!
64 yo 5' 4" Heaviest Weight twice-255 lbs, got down to 122 lbs 2010 and kept it off 5 years then got lazy.
11/1/21-181.8 lbs
11/7/21-180 lbs! Down 75 lbs.

I pushed myself this past week with 5 out of 7 days of exercise minutes, and followed my calorie intake….for the most part.😏
5 out of 7 days I stayed at or under, and 2 days I binged and went about 500+ calories over. But all in all the calories for the week averaged out to be just below my daily goal.
What I learned……MOVE! I need to keep this level of exercise minutes going not just for weight loss but for my mental health.
My big binge day…..I bought 2 cinnamon buns Tuesday night for super, with containers of icing 🧁 It was delicious! But I had another horrible migraine the next day which knocked me on my A**. Migraines have been weekly of late and totally related to sugar intake! Stay as far away from refined sugar as is reasonable do-able. I bought sugar free jello for that after dinner craving.
I read some large weight loss success stories on here for inspiration…..may I just say WOW
I’m feeling hopeful today, that perhaps getting down to 140lb may even be possible! I haven’t felt hopeful for a while, and it feels good😁
