Just Give Me 10 Days - Round 168

Hello everyone, late joining this group. Joined mfp yesterday and thought I'd give it a try.
Been at this weight for a long time and decided it was time get moving on losing the excess lbs and to getting healthier. Better to do it with like minded people, instead of alone. With the holidays looming in the very near future, now's a good time as any to start this new journey.
SW: 299.2
Day/Weight/Comment:
11/12: 299.2
11/13: 297.8 ⬇️ (-1.4 lbs)
11/14: 296.4 ⬇️ (-1.4)
11/15: 294 ⬇️ (-2.4) I seem to have found what works best for me at this time ( but, as some of you know!) When losing weight this could always change in the future. Mfp's daily calorie intake is set at (1,554) I try to stay around that daily goal. At this time I eat whatever I want in moderation, will adjust accordingly, as my weight changes. This is just a restart on my weight loss journey.
11/16: 294.4 ⬆️ (+0.4 oz) I had an appointment late yesterday afternoon, to have all my vital organs checked out. That are around and just below, and behind my rib cage. I had to do a complete fast, which meant (no food or liquids, including water) from around 7 pm the night before to after 5 pm yesterday. My body is used to having a lot of water, and I believe this is the main reason for the slight gain this morning.
11/17: 297.8 ⬆️(+ 3.4 lbs) This is definitely my fault. 😩 I'm in an emotional eater, and was feeling a little low yesterday. I did what I would normally do and that's turn to food. I'm working on overcoming this bad habit. I wasn't going to post this, because I felt embarrassed 😔 that I lost control. But. to be honest the closer the holidays come, the more I'll struggle with my feelings. Thanksgiving 🦃 and Christmas 🎄 is a hard time for me since I no longer have family. So I tend to get low and emotional at this time of the year. But, I'm trying to work on not turning to food for comfort. I am trying to find another way to cope over the holidays.
Even though I've gained over the last 2 days, I am still below my start Weight of 299.2 by ( -1.4 lbs) so I'm still happy about that. 😄9 -

11/8 216 (+.4) Hiked 6+ miles with my sister yesterday. It was a beautiful day in the mountains. I should be on a downward trend tomorrow. No scheduled exercise today, but I’ll be drinking lots of water.
11/9 215.4 (-.2) Today, I’m back in the pool. My low weight was last Friday. I had my indulgence meal Friday night and I’m still trying to catch back up. No hugs necessary. Just playing some mind games that come along with losing weight. As long as I stay focused, the whoosh will come.
11/10 213.6 (-2.0) This was my lowest weight last round so I’m glad to see it back on the scale today. Drank all my water yesterday and had a wonderful swim. No organized exercise today.
11/11 213.8 (-1.8) Today I’m meeting a friend for lunch, so I’ll have an indulgence meal. I’m sure I’ll be over calories, but I will be eating lighter for breakfast and dinner. Still on a downward trend overall.
11/12 214.2 (-1.4) I’ve been bouncing around in this area for the last ten days. I’m not surprised, but still a little frustrated. So I’m going to focus on eating right and exercising with the goal of being under 210 by the end of the month and leaving this struggle in the dust. Life’s been busy, in a good way, but I’m definitely not getting all my water in. Still logging and exercising, so it will come.
11/13 213.8 (-1.8) My weight is coming back down. Hoping for a new low this week. Swimming was great. No organized exercise today, but will be hiking with my sister tomorrow. Wow. We are already more than halfway through this round.
11/14 213.4 (-2.2) A new low…finally…
11/15 212.4 (-3.2) Yay! On November 1st, I weighed 215, so I’m really only down 2.6 pounds for the month, my slowest month of loss so far. I was feeling stuck and doing my best to stay on track. This feels really good today. My sister and I hiked almost five miles yesterday. No organized exercise on the schedule today, so I’ll drink my water and stay under calories.
11/16 211.6 (-4.0) I guess my body is letting go of the extra weight that hasn’t come off the last few weeks. I tentatively stepped onto the scale not sure what to expect. What a wonderful surprise. Less than 12 pounds away from being under 200 pounds and halfway to my goal weight!!
11/17 211.8 (-3.8) Nice end to the challenge. I swam a mile in the pool for the first time ever yesterday. I decided to keep going after my usual 1300 yards and ended up at 1825 yards. So excited to see my progress over the last six months. See you in the next round!

11/17 204.6 down is good! That being said, "fatigue reaction to the maderna vaccine booster is real" & I skipped dinner last night. So I guess it's, "Get vaccinated & lose weight."
Good luck you all & see you next round!

I think a lot of us here turn to food for comfort when we are down and I know I for one am tempted at times to not post if I've been particularly bad and gained considerably, but we do not judge, we are all human and we are all in the same boat trying to get healthy, lose weight and then maintain. Stick with us, don't stay away, we're all in this together, sending you hugs, you are in our family xx.7 -

Day/Weight/Comment
11/08 - 217.2 I set my goal for this round to 215 because that will put me into "overweight" BMI. I've been snacking A LOT lately but I've also been working out like a madman so I feel like it's deserved. A healthy relationship with food is important to establish getting closer to the goal. Had my booster shot on Saturday and that knocked me out but still had a 45 minute PR on the Peloton.
11/09 - 218.9 My body does not like the beginning of the week lol. I didn't work out so that definitely plays a factor but this is every Monday/Tuesday. Took progress pictures this morning though and it's honestly crazy to see beginning of weight loss vs now.
11/10 - 215.2 I was surprised so I weighed on the back-up scale and got the same number. I don't make the news, I just report it. 3 rides and a 1.25 mile walk with the pups between last weigh in and this also very light lunch. This number made my day to be honest.
11/11 - 215.6 Glad to see others aren't loving the new update. Everything seems ... big. Oh well it's day 1 so we'll get used to it I suppose. Glad to see that my weight didn't go up too much today!
11/12 - 214.2 Loved seeing this drop this morning! Great way to kick off the weekend where I always push myself harder working out. Have a goal of 212 by Thanksgiving which looks very attainable right now. Oh also I'm just overweight now? Bye obese!
11/13 - 213.4
11/14 - 213.0
11/15 - 211.9 Wow! Wow wow wow! As mentioned last time I wanted 212 by Thanksgiving (next Thursday for those not from the states). This is a very welcome surprise! It seems a few members here have had a nice drop this round. And those who haven't just keep going and it'll come!
11/16 - 211.2 Happy about this number and did a great workout this morning but it's free coffee day at Wawa and for whatever reason I grabbed a breakfast sandwich. So net 0 on the workout. Just have to be good for the rest of the day.
11/17 - 211.2 Flat is better than up. A huge drop this round so I can't be disappointed and honestly after yesterday's breakfast sandwich and some doritos feasting at night, I'm surprised it was flat lol. Set another 15 minute PR this morning on the peloton (and it almost killed me). On to the next round!11 -

I had a fun day yesterday. I took my 4-mo-old puppy, Rory, to the local dog show and he earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate and his Novice Trick Dog title! It’s a huge show, but he did fine in the chaos of people, dogs, & noise. Here’s he is after doing his tricks.
11/09 - 180, ave 179.6
Ok, this makes sense since my calories have been very close to maintenance for the past week. Slowly dropping back down.
11/10 - 178, ave 179.2
Nice drop! I think it’s all the walking in obedience class, because my calories were barely below maintenance and I had some sherbet and some triscuits and cheese last night. Whatever! I’m off now for a walk with the pup, aiming for 3 miles. That’s about his limit for now, and will give me a little peace and quiet later!
11/11 -177.8, Ave 178.7
Cutting & pasting. Anyone know if there’s a place to give feedback on the “improved” format? 😤🤮🤯
11/12 - 180.6, Ave 179.2
My inner bear is trying to pack on weight for the winter. 🐻 Still not a fan of the new format, but I’m figuring in out.
11/13 - 180.8, Ave 179.6
Oh, yeah, cheese and ice cream and two oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Onward!
11/14 - 180, Ave 179.8
I ate too much again (but quite consciously!) and didn’t get my usual long walk, but I ate fully intending to cut my calories wayyyy back the rest of the week, so all good. I’m striving for not only weight loss but a sustainable way of eating that allows for a few days of cheeses and pastas, with my overall average intake lower. I’m finding this stops most cravings. I may not lose as fast as I could with more restriction, but as long as I’m trending downward over the long haul, that’s fine. And it’s snowing here!
11/15 - 180, Ave 179
I had to remove all my books from bookcases when our new floor went in a couple of weeks ago. This past weekend I “Marie Kondoed” them as I reshelved, and I have three big bags of books I’ll never reread (or read in some cases!) to redistribute, some to a nursing home, some to a used book store I frequent. I also organized my yarn stash so I can see what I have—I found a few nice surprises. And I feel so much lighter with those jobs done! I have to say that one benefit of being more home bound than ever these past 18 months is that I’ve become tidier, maybe because I can’t ignore any messes when I’m with them so much. I find I have less tolerance for stuff I don’t need or particularly like, so I’ve done a lot of cleaning out. Now I’m thinking of repainting my office because the color I loved 3.5 years ago isn’t comforting me anymore. Now off for a dog walk.
11/16 - 180.6, Ave 180.2
Calories lower yesterday, so this is a time lag from previous few days. No problem. Had a good 90 minutes of walking at doggy school this morning and I have low calories planned the rest of the day. All good.
11/17 - 179.8, Ave 180.1
Okay, I’ve had me fun. Next round intend to behave myself. My calories were way high this round, but otoh, I’m down .4# from my final weigh in last round, so not too bad. See you there!

Round 168 (my 5th)
November 8 - November 7, 2021
Female, 5’7”
HW: 181 pounds (Dec 30, 2019)
RSW: 157.0 pounds (Nov 7, 2021, EO Round 167)
RGW: 154.0 pounds (-3.0 pounds)
Day/Weight/Comment
11/08: 157.0 - Well, I really need to focus on my eating. I’ve kind of been on autopilot with meals, but these last 4 days I was going back to some bad habits (eating even after I knew I was at the top end of my calories). When I’m not in my usual routine is when I get derailed. That means two things: I need to figure this out for upcoming holidays and travel, and I need to get back on track here at home and not let this short slide turn into a longer one.
11/09: 156.5 - Did my usual Jazzercise workout and normal meals with the exception of the last of the birthday cake.
11/10: 157.6 - Hmmm, too much salt? Too much cake?
11/11: 156.5 - Yesterday was a normal workout and eating. Been hovering around the same 2 pounds since the beginning of the month.
11/12: 155.4 - Finally, it took about a week to get back to where I was in the last round after parties and travel.
11/13: 155.4 - Was hungry all day yesterday but stuck to my calories (barely) and did a long walk
11/14: 154.8 - A new low. First time in over a week to be below 155. 1 hour Jazzercise. Salad for lunch and pizza and wine for dinner.
11/15: 154.8 - A friendsgiving dinner was difficult to track, so just added a bulk 1000 calories.
11/16: 156.1 - Took two scale readings today: one at my normal time/routine, and the other after an early workout. Second one was about a pound lower, but I’ll go with my “official” normal reading. I know better than to be number chasing.
11/17: 153.7 - I don’t think this number will hold tomorrow, but I’ll take it today. Had my Covid booster shot yesterday morning and feeling the same mild side effects that I had with shot #2. Not sure I’ll get my exercise in or movement in today.
Total round weight loss/gain to date from EO last round: - 3.3 pounds10 -

Round 168 SW: 207.4 RGW 204 EW 205.8
Day/Weight/Comment
11/8 206 (-1.4) Off to a better start even if it’s probably water weight.
11/9 207.8 (+1.8) We went out for lunch yesterday and I had a cheeseburger with salty fries. I did drink more water than usual and I am hoping that is why there is a big gain. We will see if that is why tomorrow but staying vigilant today. My goal is to be under 200 and into the100’s by end of the year. I need to be better!
11/10 206.4 (-1.4) A lot of work outside with raking the leaves. Also it looks like water retention from Monday’s lunch is gone. Now to have a good day today. Husband is on radiation treatment #12 of 20 and everything at this moment is good. Keeping everything in perspective and positive.
11/11 205.6 (-.8) I’m finally starting to see some progress. Just need to think hard about how to get through the holiday season. One day at a time I guess.
11/12 205.2 (-.4) I’m happy with that. I really thought that I would be up a little bit today. When we began this round I thought my end round goal of 204 was a bit high for this time of the year but maybe not. I‘ll be happy to just get close.
11/13 204.8 (-.4) Yeah! 😆
11/14 204.6 (-.2)Not expecting this. We went out for lunch yesterday and I thought there would be a gain today. Any loss is a positive in my book.😄
11/15 204.8 (+.2) Happy with this. Still staying basically the same.
11/16 205.4 (+.6) That’s disappointing.😕 We did a lot of leaf raking yesterday and I’m sore and tired today. Still have a huge pile to finish up today. Hoping this gain is due to water retention. Oh well, I’ll keep on trying. Gotta look at all the exercise I got in yesterday.😊
11/17 205.8 (+.4) Well that is very disappointing but not unexpected considering all the sweet things I consumed yesterday. I knew it as I was doing it that all that sugar was wrong and would get me today. Self sabotaging myself. I’m slightly less than at the beginning of this round but a long way from my goal. Tomorrow is another day and another round.

11/17 My 1000th post on JGM10Ds !!!!! 135 – 10.57 miles walked yesterday, calories & all macros well under. Pleased to get back to this weight; it looks good 3 pounds lost, but the truth of the matter is that the I gained 2 pounds last round and 1 pound the round before by yoyo binging which I was not proud of . What I am proud of is that I had did not binge this round that is an achievement for me at the moment, and that I had 2 meals out with friends & balanced these with low calorie foods the rest of the days, Onwards to the next round !!!
@musicsax Congratulations on 1000 posts! They've never been better!6 -

@MissClaus3 Please never be embarrassed about being human or being stuck in a rut. That is why it's called a journey. There are the ups and the downs. The easy times and the very hard times. I, myself, have been in a rut since I found out about my surgery and the cancer scare. Now I can't seem to get myself out of it. It's okay that I handled it the best way I can. It's not okay that it makes me stop my weight loss journey and my goal to better health. I'm still in a bit of a rut and my weight is still up from what it was, but I'll find my way back to the better path, and so will you, my friend. It's easier with JGM10D. It's easier with this support. It's easier with the accountability this challenge brings. It's easier when we face it full on. Remember, we are not facing the other members. We are really seeing the words on the screen and facing ourselves. I have learned so much from seeing the up and down patterns of my own life and of the lives and paths of others too. Thanks for sticking with us. We will learn so much from each other. Just know that I am never disappointed in all who try here. Sometimes a little with myself, but then I realize all that I've said here and I know I'll be okay. You will too. Although I had a gain, I'm still proud of myself for all the effort I put in and for the NSV's I've had these past 10 days. You should be proud of yourself too! Losing 1 1/2 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! Congratulations!9 -

Day/Weight/Comment
11/07 …..189.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
11/08 …..189.2 ….. (Trend weight xxxxx) Not off to a great start with the scale. Late night snacks brought on by excessive hunger. I worked hard in the yard yesterday for over 3 hours and burned over 700 calories just in raking. Those calories can come in much faster than they leave!
11/09 …..189.6 ….. Trend weight xxxxx) No TMI again. Very early weigh-in after, essentially, no sleep and all those other excuses. Yesterday it was not on my daughter. It was on me. I know what good habits are. I know what low calorie is and what low carb can do to help me. I recognize the right foods. It’s time to stop glancing at it all and start staring at what I need to do. It has been out of control since just before my surgery.
11/10 …..189.6 ….. (Trend weight 188.6) I just realized my fitbit wasn’t linking to my trendweight.com so my trending weights have been off. I think It may have something to do with my daughter’s new fitbit I bought her for her birthday. It may be scrambling up my info. I found another way to get it in the meantime so I’ve included it today. Sheesh….this is worse than I thought or imagined!
11/11 …..189.6 ….. (Trend weight 188.6)
11/12 …..189.4 ….. (Trend weight 188.8) I can’t take this many changes at once on the new format. I will work on trying to get my spoiler available but hidden first in order to shorten my posts again. Dr. appointment yesterday for surgery follow-up. They are trying to find me a cardiologist and an endocrinologist within 100 miles of my home (rural area). They also have to accept my insurance. Wish me luck on that!!!!!
11/13 ……189.2….. (Trend weight 189.0) I am happy to see a smaller number on the scale. However my trend weight just keeps going up and is almost matching my weight. I made yesterday a better day with some better choices. I am aiming for another good day. I hope this challenge will keep going and that we will not lose so many important people. Each and every one of you offer insight and value and I appreciate you all!
11/14 …..191.0 ….. (Trend weight 189.2) Traveled yesterday. Weight showed up from dinner out and lots of car driving (inactivity). I’ll work it off today as much as possible. Heavy snow outside so nothing there due to slippery. One handyman coming today so I’ll have to get creative on exercise. Obviously I am disappointed that one meal would make such a negative difference.
11/15 …..191.0 ….. (Trend weight 189.3) I ate leftover Chinese food from my travel day. Other meals were good too. Snacks were definitely better. I honestly thought I would see a zero-point-something drop but not today. Something I have to look forward to, I guess.
11/16 …..189.6 ….. (Trend weight 189.4) There’s the drop I was expecting yesterday! Yay on the 1.4 lb weight drop. Very on-point meals yesterday. But I did sneak into DGS’s Halloween candy bucket. Just being honest folks! Virtually no exercise yesterday but water was pretty good. Aiming for a great day today so that I can hit goal of “any loss” for this round, but after today’s loss it is far-reaching to lose over ½ pound again overnight. We’ll see!
11/17 …..189.8 ….. (Trend weight 189.4) Well, I managed to pull it back down a bit in the last couple of days, but overall there was a 0.8 gain for the round, not exactly something I’m proud of. Next round is the holiday and, of course, I’m worried. I’ve got to focus on keeping all the other days “good” so the damage is temporary or minimal. See you all next round!
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Congrats on being below your start weight! That's HUGE!!!
We're all human. We all have struggles. I'm super proud of you for facing it, owning it, and posting it. No judgement here. Just take a look at my round end weight history, I've lost then gained a ton back and now back to trying to lose it (I'm stuck in a months-long plateau at the moment). But what keeps me going is having everyone here. You included. Because I know I'm not the only one. I know everyone else here is doing their best and making tiny steps in the right direction, even if the scale doesn't show it. And guess what? So am I. Even if I don't realize it.
I will say, I'm stubborn. It's taken me over a year to change my mindset even the little bit that it has. Have grace with yourself. Reassure yourself and then get back on the path of this journey. You 100000000% have this and I'm SO behind you cheering you on every step of the way!

11/8 / 198.8 / Haven't had an overnight jump that large in a while. My period did start yesterday. I ate on point though and walked almost 20,000 steps plus a Peloton bike ride. Had a very great day and off to make today another one.
11/9 / 198.6 / Donated blood yesterday. Super busy day today! Have moved a lot already so hoping to see the scale down some more again tomorrow.
11/10 / 199.2 / Got all my movement in early yesterday as we were volunteering at night. Ate a big salty snack right before bed but it fit within my calories.
11/11 / 197.4 / Alright - almost back to where I started. Yesterday we had a yummy salmon dinner and I rode my Peloton for the longest ride yet (45 mins).
11/12 / 196.6 / Got a lot of exercise yesterday and felt great about it. Today was a very busy day at work - so glad the weekend is here!
11/13 / 195 / Things are rolling now. It seems as I drop weight my body has become much more sensitive to my TOM than it did almost 100 pounds ago (or I was losing so fast back then it wasn't as detectable to me). In any event, it's interesting watching how the body works. Had a great day of eating again yesterday and got my exercise in.
11/14 / 192.2 / Wow - after holding on to weight for the first part of this round my body is sure flushing it out now! I have officially passed the 100+ pounds lost with this weigh-in! So excited.
11/15 / 192.8 / Did my first Peloton Bike Bootcamp yesterday (bike/strength combo) and it kicked my butt! So glad most of the big drop I had yesterday held.
11/16 / 193.6 / At my round goal weight so hoping I can hold for tomorrow as that just feels so good psychologically. Good day yesterday but I did eat a fair bit of my calories late due to a volunteer commitment. Did yoga, Peloton and walked.
11/17 / 193.4 / So happy to have met my round goal! Last night I was on my butt sewing all night but I squeezed in some Peloton rides before bed... always feels great. See you in the next round!8 -

8: 220.5 Down 1 pound from when I started last week. I'll take it. I've been not feeling very good about having gained around 10 pounds since the ankle sprain/wasp sting event over the summer. I'm hoping I can stay focused this round and see some real results.
9: 220.0 Over calories yesterday, didn't make it to the gym, tracked only 40oz of water, and am now on about 5 hours of sleep for no reason. On the plus side, I ended my eating window about 2 hours early yesterday. That might be the only thing creating today's loss. Getting ready to go to the gym now, but gonna take it easy because I'm tired.
10: ??
11: 222.0
12: 220.4
13: 217.8 I have not been able to access MFP Community since they worked on it several days ago, and it was somewhat challenging not being able to check in here. I still can't get here on my phone, which is super inconvenient. Anyway, I've kept up on going to the gym. The spike on the 11th was likely from going two days in a row and harvesting willow for several hours on that second day. Went to Applebee's for my Veterans Day meal. I love that the veteran menu has realistic portion sizes, as compared to their regular menu. I also picked up a veteran meal voucher from Texas Roadhouse, so I'm looking forward to using that on another trip to the city. I'm happy with my progress this week. Oh, and psst, hey stalker. Instead of hiding behind that disagree button, maybe you could share what you're actually disagreeing with in every single entry that I post. Just a thought.
14: 219.1 Went to see Dune yesterday and indulged in popcorn but finished within my normal IF eating window. TOM expected in 2 days. Both things cause a bit of weight gain, so I'm not concerned about the scale being up today. Could see increases the next couple of days until my typical drop with TOM.
15: 219.9 Weighed hours earlier than usual, so although an increase was expected I don't think this is completely accurate.
16: 220.4 ♀️ Hopefully, I'll see that anticipated drop tomorrow.
For anyone following the issue I've been having with someone stalking my posts, this is the response I got yesterday from the MFP staff member that addressed the issue each time I reported it...
"Thanks for letting me know and providing that feedback. I've once again looked into this and taken action; If you notice it happening again, please feel free to message me immediately, though I am hopeful that won't be necessary after this point."
17: 219.9 ♀️ Definitely not the drop I expected, but it's less than I was at the beginning of the round.
NSV: I didn't fall off the wagon when the community was unavailable. Checking in daily is a necessary part of my process, so I'm glad the few days of not being able to access the group didn't turn into another several week detour.
Needs work: time to start logging food again! I've been focusing just on IF and paying attention to carbs. I'm ready to start actually keeping track again though.
There's no such thing as failure; only feedback.10 -

Had a nice non scale victory on my birthday morning though and ran the best 5 miles in a long time, 3 out of the 5 miles were sub 10 minute miles which I haven’t done in a LONG time! So, I’m super excited about that 😊. Another non scale victory I forgot to mention last week was that I took my measurements and lost an inch from my hips even though my weight has gone up and down over the past month and half since starting strength training.11/17 TOM finally arrived almost two weeks later than normal. Made an appt to get that figured out too. I still think it was from getting a touch of food poisoning a couple days before it was originally due but it’s better to be safe. Ran about 5 miles this morning and did a shorter strength training session during my lunch because I was tired and have slightly less energy today. Food has been decent so far today and dinner will be leftover sausage from last night with a big salad. I’m thinking about making a green goddess dressing for the salad to make it feel a little fancier.
Today I’ll be catching up at work after being on vacation and then my husband is cooking us dinner while I go get a massage after work. So, it’ll be nice to get home and not have to worry/think about what’s for dinner (we were going to get Indian takeout but we some food in the fridge that needs to get cooked). Either way, I don’t have to think about it so it’s a win in my book. Have a happy Monday all!
11/9 119.4 Ugh, my body is a ball of pissed off hormones, TOM is arriving very soon and we ended up getting Indian takeout last night after all and then my mother in law surprised me with a couple treats from the bakery for my birthday which I indulged in, so hello water retention. Super tired today because I slept horribly and woke up feeling very sensitive to everything, it’s like all my senses were heightened in a panicky way. It was bizarre and reminded me of when I was younger and just “didn’t feel good” as my 10 year old self would say. I think it was just a borderline panic attack, so I hung out with my cat for a few minutes before getting my butt in gear to go for a nice slow 4 mile run to help recover from yesterday’s awesome but higher intensity run.
Food choices are going to be tough because when I’m tired I want all the foods that aren’t great for me. Even the Body Battery on my Garmin watch told me it was 43 to start the day when normally it’s 80+.
On the bright side I did have a lovely birthday and I’m looking forward to making 31 another great year for me!
11/10 118.4 pre workout 117.2 post workout. Feeling better today and was able to do a nice 6 mile run this morning. Food has been good today and I have pork tenderloin with veggies on the menu tonight for dinner. Not sure about which veggies but maybe some of the ones I already have roasted along with some salad greens and dressing.
11/11 Did not weight this morning but food was good yesterday and I’m off to a good start today as well. Did a nice slow 4 mile run this morning while catching up with my step mom. I agree with the others, this new update is not great. Not sure what’s for dinner except for another large salad from our CSA greens.
11/12 Did not post
11/13 117.something Started the day with a 7 mile long run. Breakfast and lunch were good but I ate a lot of cake batter while making the cake and frosting for the birthday celebration with my in laws tonight. Then, we’ll be getting Thai which is pretty salty so I’m sure there will be a blip up for the next couple of days.
11/14 Did not weigh. Made a baked French toast with high fiber challah bread for breakfast, Lunch was some left over Tom Kha soup and brown rice from Bi Bim Bap bowl I got for our birthday dinner last night and had one slice of the cake too. Dinner will be lots of veggies because we have an excessive amount still left from our CSA. We got behind one week on eating the majority of the veggies and now each week we have so much left over. I’m going to sauté or steam some of the greens so they’ll be easy to freeze and add to soups this winter/spring. I think I might blanch the cauliflower we have and pop it in the freezer. I’m grateful our top freezer/fridge has a really good sized freezer.
11/15 120 pre-workout. Didn’t weigh post workout. I’m cool with it. I did some comparison pictures today from various weights over the past year and a half and although I’m technically higher in weight, I noticed I’m still the same size as in my lower weights. So, I have my muscle to thank for that. Food has been good today and I had another awesome run this morning along with a strength workout during my lunch.
11/16 My scale got moved in the bathroom and now who knows what the “right” weight is thanks to uneven floors. It was in the same spot for a while but it must have gotten bumped. Grrrrr. The readings were wildly different this morning when I weighed, so I think I’m going on a scale hiatus for a bit. Food has been good so far today and dinner will be too. My husband went to NH to go hiking tomorrow, so it’s just me and the cat tonight hanging out. It works slightly in my favor because I can make Italian sausage with roasted cauliflower and Romanesco for dinner tonight and not here comments from the peanut gallery about the sausage (husband hates it). I might make some high fiber pasta to go with it… currently undecided about that part. Breakfast was toast and my protein drink; then, lunch was a large salad (250 g baby greens) with dark chicken meat, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice for dressing and a sliced apple on the side.
I also plan on catching up with this thread because it’s been a few days since I’ve been able to read everyone’s posts!

Trend GW: 145
*********************************************
11/08 146.6 (trend 146.6) was hoping to start this round at a lower number after seeing 145.# several times last round but hey ho. TOTM started today with a vengeance, which explains why I've been such a monster to my family the last few days! Feeling pretty nauseous and weak, must try to avoid stuffing my face for comfort. Not sure what to set my goal weight at this round, I'll aim high but any loss will be a win.
11/09 145.8 (146.5) Hopefully this is the end of the bloat, fingers crossed. Didn't make the best food choices yesterday, had no breakfast, bolognese and veg for lunch and a piece of fruit... all good but then I scoffed a portion of chip shop chips with loads of ketchup, doh! Still came in just under calories though, phew!
11/10 145.2 (trend 146.3) November is going so fast! Starting to feel like I'm treading water again with my weight loss and I need to find a way to get things moving again. I definitely feel like I'm losing better and feeling better now that I've upped my calories a bit (conversely) but my activity levels aren't that great in the evenings. I work on my kitchen reno until it starts to get darkish at 4pm then there's not enough light in the room to see what I'm doing so I get changed and basically sit for the rest of the day, not good.
11/11 147.0 (trend 146.4) Didn't want to post this today but I have to stay accountable. Had a blow out yesterday, beers and nachos at the pub then pizza and chocolate at home.
Hope I haven't messed up the whole round, still 6 days to pull this back.
11/12 148.6 (trend 146.8) Yikes! Need to get back in control, desperately!
11/13 147.2 (trend 146.8) Well I think I'm getting the hang of this new format, ish! I have saved links to my mfp bookmarks into a folder on my phone home screen so that they are easier to access. Still finding it tricky to browse the forum but at least I can now find my challenges quickly!
The daily habit of checking in with you guys, sharing your struggles and successes and staying accountable through the highs and lows is probably the only way I've managed to stick at this for this long! I don't think it's an overreaction to feel some distress when you can't find an important tool in your tool box for fixing something that affects your physical and mental health. Happy Saturday my lovelies 😘
11/14 146.2 (trend 146.6) Totally knackered from painting the walls and ceiling of a 12' by 15' kitchen 3 times in the last 3 days. Two more coats to do on the walls tomorrow (at least) but just think of the calories burned! It would be great if everyone else in the house took up some of the slack and cleaned up after themselves, as I'm watching the house turn into a pigsty while I'm busy and knowing I'm gonna have to tackle it once I'm done! Gah.
Too tired to cook so it looks like canned soup for dinner, argh, salty!
Sorry for whinging x
11/15 145.0 (trend 146.5) Phew, I'm so relieved to see my weight coming back down again at last! Lesson learnt after a carb fest this week when I'm usually lowish carb. Chips, pizza, naan bread, nachos, chocolate etc, yikes! Oh, and lots of salt! I've been so bloated and uncomfortable, still feeling a bit puffy but much better. Gonna avoid grains and starches for a few days and drink lots of water.
11/16 145.2 (trend 146.3) Think this uptick is just because of no tmi this morning. Yesterday was better food-wise but I still didn't track properly, I really need to make that my absolute priority next round if I'm ever going to get out of the overweight BMI category. Just 2.4 little pounds to go, I can do that surely!
11/17 146.2 (146.1) Nothing lost, nothing gained, ah well. I got a little hopeful after yesterday's weigh in but had a bulky dinner so that didn't help. I did overeat a few times this last week, not excessively though, I guess I've found my maintenance zone. Stiff upper lip, on to the next round and put this one behind me x10 -
Thank you @quiltingjaine - so ready for another round!

@fmfdfa2020
It wasn't user error. MFP changed the forums last week and took the ability to make changes to quotes away, among other things. Because so many people complained they restored it temporarily. It will go away again at some point, tho.

I'm a 5'7" 54yo woman in SE Michigan.
I did a couple rounds earlier this fall and found them helpful! Then, I got super busy, had some travel, fell off the bandwagon, and gained some weight back. 🙄 I'm ready to jump back in and continue the journey here!
SW: 161 lbs
UGW: 145 lbs.
11/08 - 161.0 Had a good day - so busy, I didn't have time to snack! (Now that's busy! ) I did squeeze in a short jog at the arb in the gorgeous weather.
11/09 - 161.2 A little uptick, but my body has a delayed reaction. I limited snacking and ate well. Need to drink more water.
11/10 - 161.0 Got into snacking this afternoon, particularly peanut butter which is my Achilles heel.
11/11 - 161.2 Another busy day with not much snacking.
11/12 - 159.6 Beautiful day; would like to get in a jog - but I threw out my back again and I probably can't. Might try a walk. Need to drink more H20.
11/13 - 159.8 Went out to a nice restaurant for dinner with friends the 2nd night in a row (different friends - LOL!). We'll see what the damage is tomorrow. My back is doing better; I do back exercises (from PT) 1x /day to keep problems at bay and increase to 2x/ day when my back is not doing well, and they're very helpful. Was all set to jog this afternoon - but rainy sleet started coming down just as I got to the arb. *sigh* Nope.
11/14 - 159.6 Ate at a restaurant for lunch with dh, but we made good choices. Ate french toast for dinner at friends' home Snacks: 1 apple + 2 T granola
11/15 - 158.0 I have no explanation for the drop. 🤔 It could be a fluke. Ate well. Snacks = 1 banana, 1 apple, about 1 oz. cooked skinless chicken breast. Still no exercise, but my back is improving.
11/16 - 158.0
11/17 - 158.82
