Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hashimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
11/1: 203.4 lbs - 20 days out from my half marathon and no motivation to train.
11/2: 202.6 lbs - yesterday was a good day eating wise but not much exercise.
11/3: 202.4 lbs - I was able to get in a run yesterday and my husband made an awesome GF lasagna. good day all around!
11/4: 202.2 lbs - Not much activity yesterday but I kept my calories in line.
11/5: 201.6 lbs - I weighed in much later today which is probably most of the decrease. I ran 2 miles yesterday. I am 2 weeks out from my half marathon and couldn't do my last long run last weekend bc I was sick. So I broke my 12 miler over today and tomorrow. I ran 6 this afternoon and will run 6 tomorrow morning. I am eating gluten today bc Chick-fil-A chicken tenders sounded way too good after my run but I only ate half my fries bc I was full. Have a great weekend all!!
11/6: 202.0 lbs - I expected the increase due to the Chick-fil-A. I was only able to get in 3 miles this morning. I haven't eaten well today but stayed within my calories.
11/7: 201.8 lbs - not great for eating today. We will see what happens to the scale tomorrow.
11/8: DNW - I had to run out to the school bc my daughter forgot her glasses, so I did not weigh in. Happy Monday everyone!!
11/9: 202.8 lbs - I've been under calories everyday... frustrating but just the way it goes.
11/10: 202.0 lbs - I've been eating fairly well but not wanting to be active.
11/11: 202.0 lbs - happy thursday!
11/12: 200.6 lbs - I'm sure this loss will rebound a little. I weighed in late and did not eat much yesterday.

11/19: 201.0 lbs - 2 DAYS from half marathon!!! I'm now on to the hourly forecast. We are now up to mid 50s with 50% chance of rain.
11/20: 201.0 lbs. Picked up my packet for the race tomorrow. Super nervous!!!
11/21: 202.0 lbs - The half marathon went really well! I got a PR! My knees had been feeling a little twingy, so my husband helped me KT tape them and I had no pain!
11/22: 201.8 lbs - I think this weight is a lot of water weight form swelling after running yesterday. I'm going to have a donut this morning then back to normal eating!6 -

---November thoughts: Hi everyone! I lost about 10 lbs. in the last challenge, so while not a crazy amount, it definitely was motivational for me! I like the idea of a 3 month goal as it allows some room for flexibility and adjustments, but not so much that you feel like you can slack. And with it being the holidays, I'll need to stay balanced more than ever and remember that a holiday is a holiday, not a holiweek.---
I set my challenge goal for 147 lbs, which would put me at a healthy BMI again. I felt so fantastic in the 140s last year and can't wait to get back. But first, we gotta hit the 150s! So that's my goal for this month! Then I figured I'd give myself the other two months to lose the next 10 lbs, which I figure is more flexible with the holidays in case I have weeks where I only manage to maintain.

I really wanted a big push this week, but after going to a wedding this weekend and general bad eating last week, I'm grateful to be where I'm at. I'm nervous for Thanksgiving, but I am keeping my mantra strong that it's just 1 day and that if I listen to and trust my body, I will be a-okay!8 -

Last year, I set a goal of losing 100 pounds in a year. This past July, I had managed to lose 90+ pounds to get into the 230's. There, I've been... until this past week. I finally dipped below 230 last Thursday, when I weighed 229.5. Friday and Saturday, I weighed 230.4, then Sunday I weighed 229. This morning, I weighed 228.6! Knock on wood, but I think I've made it, and hopefully, I'll keep going. 😀

Hello Everyone--This week was a bit more challenging with birthday parties, but I’m still happy with my choices. My son requested crab legs for his dinner, which I ate more than my share (but it’s low calorie, so I happily indulged). I also made his cake using six inch cake pans instead of my usual nine inch pans—I like the smaller size so much, I will use these for many birthdays to come! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

So it looks like I may be around awhile folks! Today is my daughter’s 27th birthday who lives with me. There will be festivities, food, cake, ice cream etc. So many reasons to double celebrate today for us! Tomorrow, back on track! Snow again here today. Outside too cold but I will try to get my steps in the house around the renovation men. The tile project should be done by tonight. Another week or two of men working and I will get a break until after New Years. I can’t wait!

I’ve recently been informed that my brother is dying with end stage cirrhosis of the Liver. He has been an alcoholic most of his life. He is 54. Me losing control helps no one. I’ve got to get myself, my emotions, my physical needs in order. Many people need me. I started injection diabetic medication today to go with my pills. Hopefully that helps my glucose numbers which are running over 400 right now. Please Pray for Jeff in Michigan.

Nov 01…..189.4…..(Trend Weight: 187.7)…..What a horrid way to start the month. Pizza and Halloween candy were present but not to blame. It’s on me.
Nov 03…..189.0…..(Trend Weight: 187.9)….. Weight down a touch, but trending up. Good news on my surgery results. No sign of breast cancer in the surgical tissue lumpectomy. So it looks like I may be around awhile folks! Today is my daughter’s 27th birthday who lives with me. There will be festivities, food, cake, ice cream etc. So many reasons to double celebrate today for us! Tomorrow, back on track! Snow again here today. Outside too cold but I will try to get my steps in the house around the renovation men. The tile project should be done by tonight. Another week or two of men working and I will get a break until after New Years. I can’t wait!
Nov 10…..189.6…..(Trend Weight: 188.6)…..I’ve been eating horribly since I found out I needed the surgery. The surgery is over but the bingeing hasn’t stopped. It’s time to get myself back in control. This is counter-productive!
Nov 17…..189.8…..(Trend Weight: 189.4)….. I almost convinced myself that I’d made some extra positive changes to my diet. Then I weighed myself this morning and after some investigation and reflection….Not really. Not enough anyway. I’m going to work on a better upcoming week. I’m running out of options for better health. There’s no way around exercise and you can’t outrun the fork. Gotta do it the old fashioned way and stop thinking I can outsmart the experts!

Donna, it's hard to prioritize yourself when things get hard but you have to put on your own oxygen mask first so you can be there for others. Much support to you. If there's anything you need, or just to vent, we are here.

I'm losing hope and feeling disappointed with my progress. It's a vicious cycle. I haven't been doing very well lately and I really want to change that. I'm sick of this, but I don't want to give up, I will try to achieve the goal weight of 160 by Jan. I promise myself this.
