    Hello!

Many people are going back to Sparkpeople after the recent changes to MFP which makes it the opposite of user-friendly. Navigating between Forums and the main is time-consuming. Going back to a landing page each time we want to post had many throwing in the towel.

Are the sponsors losing money now that people are giving up on the number of forums they previously contributed to?

I do NOT know any MFP former Sparkers leaving now. My group is thoroughly enjoying MFP and we hope they keep making further enhancements. Spark aka PeopleOne is not a forum-friendly site for user interaction.

Likewise for the 5% Seasonal Challenge. We were an active bunch on Spark for nearly 12 years. We have made a successful transition to MFP and are thankful to be welcomed by MFP Staff. Thank you @Betty and other staff members who have been so helpful to answer questions and guide us along.

Our Fall Challenge is in its last week but our community will continue to be active until Winter 2022. Please feel free to join us.

    Good Morning former Sparkpeople!
Comforting to read the comments here.
    Some names I recognize.
It's silly I suppose but I miss my spark page. I used to change the banner with the changing seasons. My spark page was my little go to place most mornings.
    Weird, I know. Lol
Struggling with weight loss but can't give up.

Hi all, former sparker here (same name: mildexspi). I just joined MFP and found this thread. No so surprised to see that I wasn’t the only one who found spark360 lacking. I’m looking forward to making new connections here.
  • Thank you this sparkpeople intro thread. Glad I found it. I am losedapounds from sparkpeople. I have actually lost more weight since it ended. I've faced even more stress which made it easier to eat at the bottom to middle of a weightwatchers point range. I also exercise more to manage stress. I miss the wonderful people from spark. Hope to reconnect.

So far I've lost 8 pounds since joining this site. I didn't do that on SparkPeople, so thank you myfitnesspal! I love the carbs, protein, fats indicator here. Very useful.

Hello, I am coming back to try to get healthier. Could you tell me how I can upload photos of what I have eaten, I finds that it helps me to keep track of what I eat as well as help me in choosing what to eat

Hi, I was Esmerelda12 on SP. I tried the new platform but I don't really like the city orientation. I feel a little lost on here and would like to reconnect with SP friends. Is there a tour or instruction of how this site works?

Is there a way to adjust the suggested calories? It seem unrealistic to me.

Are you using the 'free' version of MFP? AND a tracker? From what I understand, your values are adjusted to allow for calories burned in the free version and looks like you can eat way more than you probably should. I just don't link my tracker to MFP, I use MFP/FitBit seperately. I think with the paid version, this is adjusted somehow. There are videos on YouTube explaining it.

I too am a former SparkPeople. I have been out of touch for at least three maybe four years. I would be pleased to get in touch with some of the friends I had here. And I love making new ones so feel free to add me. I am currently not a member of any particular group, I could use some advice on the most helpful groups to belong to and be a part of.
