Former SparkPeople Member here as well. My nick is the same as it was there. I just joined today, hoping this Food Tracker is similar to what I am used to.3

Nice to see Spark People coming together. I am Sunnybeachgirl and I like the MFP tracker and using the app on my phone2
-
Hello, Brooklyn_Born here and I like MFP very much.

This is a sight for sore eyes! Hello fellow Spark refugees! Annieonli checking in!8
-
I also am a former sparker, since Jan. 2013, until it shut down. The tracker is different, but better than spark360. Glad to be here, touching base with all of you. Spark360 felt empty. I was Kriskay1962. SparkPeople really did have it all, heart broken about it.6
-
I see some SparkPeople friends here! Please send me a friend request - and be sure to tell me your SP name so that I recognize you!2
-
Hello and thanks for the warm welcome!! I, too, am a previous Sparker for almost 12 years under pitrpatr. So nice to see fellow Sparkers and teddy bears from the 5% challenges. I'm enjoying the scan feature on the food tracker.1
-
Hello. I also used to be on Spark (formally known as lakendal). I've been to their new site but it's not as user friendly as their old one and there are no message boards. I find that I do better when I'm accountable. I'm hoping to find that support here.5

There are a few teams from Sparks that moved here so you can search for them or just share the ones you were on if anyone knows if they are here they will you you know how to contact them, Sparkers are very helpful2

Joined again as a New member. Used this app on 2014 andagain started using now. With this pandemic, really need to focus on fitness.
Hope you all are safe and healthy6 -

This is such a nice welcome for former Sparkers, Thank you MFP, for helping us feel welcome and find some of our former Spark friends.
Like everyone else I too am former Sparker. I was Magical13 on Spark.4 -
Thank you for starting such a thoughtful thread. Former Sparkpeople member for 10 years. I joined the 5% Fall Challenge with former Sparkers and everyone is welcome5

Hello everyone! I am Cindilp from Sparkpeople. Thank you for the welcome. I had MFP in the past, but didn't use it much. I did the 5% Challenge on Sparkpeople and realized this morning that it's time to get started again.3

Thank you for giving us 'spark refugees' a place to cotinue our healthy lifestyle journey. I IT APPRECIATED. I was 1crazydog on SP and was able to keep that moniker here. Thanks!7

Hello, Im Luke... Ive done SP many times and I just never stuck with it. My work actually gives me $ for tracking on here so im hoping that little extra bit of motivation will help keep me active5

Former Spark People person here too!
I bailed not long after they announced their closure, because I didn’t have the heart to ride it out to the bitter end.
I mostly like it here. Some things are different. Takes a little getting used to.
I can definitely recommend the Spark People groups. And a few others.

Once upon a time there was a Walk to Rivendell group on Spark People. I am seriously considering starting one here. I have all the mileage markers along the way, and with the new Lord of the Rings series that’s about to drop, it could be a lot of fun.2 -
Hello, I'm pretty sure that I already introduced myself here. I'm Heidi (hicim705) from SparkPeople and I also was fortunate enough to get the same MFP name. We are starting a new 5% Challenge on MFP toward the end of the month ... if anyone is interested, please message me and I can give you the information.
I've been on MFP for years - but NEVER active. Once SP announced their closing, I became more active here ~ I like the site and hope to have found a 'home' here.2 -
I am a former Sparks person too. I had lost from 235lbs to 199lbs over on that page. It was difficult starting over on here. Because on the page it only has me having lost 10 lbs. There is no way to edit to my weight lost or graphs from over there, so it is almost like started my diet all over again. I do like My FitnessPal, but it has taken some getting use too. I have now lost an additional 10 lbs, so only 30 to go.2

@ravenlady4va I edited my weight to show the pounds I lost on SP. I forget how exactly. I changed my starting weight, or the date. I'll check and get back to you.
OK. Go to settings, edit diet profile, change your starting weight and starting date to your SP information. Good Luck!3 -

I joined MFP in 2013 after tracking on Livestrong for a few years. I was able to go back an enter a weight from 2010 that was my starting weight and actually added a few benchmark weights from Livestrong. Hope that works and if not, check with Betty who is one of the admins (her name is in the Message Boards Introduce Yourself.1 -
I was able to change the date on my progress in the mobile app. I went to the progess tab and then the plus button at the top. I changed the date to my beginning date and added my beginning weight. Now it shows all my weight loss to date.ravenlady4va wrote: »I am a former Sparks person too. I had lost from 235lbs to 199lbs over on that page. It was difficult starting over on here. Hi! I’m jumping over from SP too. I spent 6 years in the SP Community and am so glad to have landed here at MFP. I was really worried about the transition as I really need the accountability of daily tracking of food. I am not able to rely on intuitive eating. I overeat. It’s great to see so many SP Alumni here!! Keep on tracking friends!!3

Hello jazzygf

A former sparker, "Determined Daisy" team, I was "luv2dns" and am now "luv2dns2". I still love to dance!! Any more "daisies" around?1
-
I don't know if you will find Daisies in here but you might find them in a group. Whatever group they were in would be posted a few remarks up on the page by MargaretYak... Good luck finding your teammates.1

I'm part of the BLC (Biggest Loser Challenge) Team and we moved our whole challenge over here to MFP. It was quite an undertaking but we got almost all of our people over here to continue our challenge team. We just started our BLC47 round. There have been some glitches as we are learning about MFP but we're making it work!
If any of you want to join us, we have a special team for late joiners. We've created a Registration Team for sign ups. Here is a link to our Registration Team:https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/140750-the-blc-biggest-loser-challenge-registration-team
We're always looking for new friends!
