    @Chalmation I have requested the book you suggested. I’m currently reading the March selection from the list @Lilylady3k posted a couple of weeks ago. (I’m waitlisted for January and February.) This is the one I’m reading - 51rntnvre3v1.jpeg

    @39flavours You should check out "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah! I've also started "The Last Passenger" by Manel Loureiro. The first is amazing, the 2nd one has me hooked by chapter 7.

    Thanks for the ideas! I really only like eggs when they're scrambled, so getting up a few minutes early in the morning to make a sandwich or burrito will help. More meal prepping! 😂 I just bought my first whey protein, and I like the idea of mixing it with OJ. Thanks!!

    Eggs are a quick easy option, if you like 'em.

    @39flavours
    Have you read Where the Crawdads Sing?

    Oo I haven't heard of it, just read the blurb and it's got great reviews, sounds like a cross between Nell and the Jungle Book, I'll download a sample and give it a try, thank you!

    It is beautiful, heart-breaking, and heart-wrenching. I gave it 5 stars.

    I've heard of that one, heard it was very good. I don't remember what was on her list except for Klara and the Sun, which I am very much looking forward to reading. I loved the 2 books of his that I've read...Never Let Me Go...OMG!

    @MaggieGirl135 Glad to hear that exercise is going great.

    You can do this! Just make little changes at a time. Start logging accurately, including weighing your food, even on those days when you go over calories. Log your weight each day and you'll be able to see how what you eat relates to fluctuations in your weight. Someone recommended Happy Scale to me early on. It's an app that looks at trends over time. That's been really helpful when I'm struggling.

    I've seen people recommend taking things at a slower rate. Set your calories to losing a half pound a week and see what happens. Try to be lower than that calorie level at least half of the time.

    Don't give up and stay engaged in the MFP community. This is the first time I'm confident that I'm going to hit my goal weight after decades of struggle. This community is helping me change my life.
