My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall.

Start Weight (from end of April, 2022 ): 203.2
Goal Weight: 198.2 (5 pound loss)

    End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

May 01…..…..204.6 (Trend Weight: 202.5)….. Wrong way!

May 03…..…..203.8(Trend Weight: 202.8)….. Progress is good. I can do better. Lighter on the scale but my body feels heavier and bogged down. I have a l…o…n…g way to go.

May 10…..…..203.2(Trend Weight: 202.5)….. My 62nd Birthday! Not a very nice present on the scale this morning. Pretty good dietary choices yesterday which kept it under 1600 (my normal is under 1400). Moderate exercise. I had a big bump down, now a big jump right back up. I don’t always understand how this works for me but I do know that TMI is likely part of this equation today. Dinner out tonight with a friend and at a later time with my oldest daughter (maybe next week?)

May 17…..…..204.2(Trend Weight: 203.2)….. So much travel this past week, and birthday celebrations. Got to turn this train around and try to get life back to normal soon!

May 24…..…..204.4(Trend Weight: 203.2)….. My son and I were out of town for dental cleanings yesterday. A problem area in the gums is now turning into a root canal. I go back in June. Dinner was out so I am surprised to see a drop on the scale. We’ll see what the next few days hold. Today is a 3 hour appointment for my hair. Something new for me. Low-lights (instead of hi-lights). We are working around the previous cancer treatments and current cancer pill damages. We are also incorporating some gray throughout to match my roots. Getting old is hell LOL. Because of the long time in the car and the dentist chair, I danced to 5 songs last night and I am proud of myself for that. I didn’t do them all at once due to the difficulty breathing with the heart issue, but I scattered them about half hour apart. I also took a small walk (5 minutes) when I got home on my cul-de-sac. It’s the part of my street with the least amount of incline due to breathing. It felt so good. I’m going to try to fit it in several times per day this summer.

    May 31…..…..(Trend Weight: xxxxx)…..

@ashleycarole86 Thank you. Its tough. I find the best way now for me to exceed is to be obsessed eg weighing myself every few hours and fasting until there is a loss.

Didn't quite hit my goal weight for the month, but I'm still pretty happy with the month overall! I stayed consistent, and I feel like I managed to form tracking my food intake into a pretty effortless habit. Hopefully June will be as good :)

I’m happy with how this month has gone. Last year my weight shot up over the summer and I don’t want to do that this time. Then I had only recently dropped from my highest weight and I’m hoping it will be easier to not do the same after a year where my weight has been relatively stable.

Total loss for May Damn. After being down two pounds in the first two weeks of the month, I ended the month heavier than I started. I guess that happens sometimes.
