7/6: 153.3 - it’s time to start thinking about eating in maintenance calories and upping my protein because I want to work on body recomposition. Maintenance calories scare me. Once I hit 151-152, I’ll be slowly upping my calories and watching what the scale does. Also, I’m excited to be back for my second round!

7/6 175.2 I’m not exactly sure what is going on here in my body. I’ve been sitting basically still (or a little worse) really for a little over 3 months. I had lost almost 20 pounds over the previous 7 months, but am having trouble finding my groove again. I certainly don’t want to gain that weight back, again, so I have to figure out how to get my act together. I'm going to try to share my weight graph so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. I'm limited in activity by bad knees (see an ortho dr today, actually) but I was during the loss period too, so that is no excuse. I'm not looking for "hugs" but sharing my frustration in hopes of gaining more gumption to do the things I know it takes to get the graph to go down. Thanks for listening. Best wishes to all of us this round!
I feel you on this! I did really well when I worked from home previously but now it seems it's making me gain... Ugh.
We'll get through this, though! We both have managed before and we will manage again. I have all the faith!

Big rains here yesterday—7+ inches in some areas. Our love tulip tree, planted 3 years ago, is leaning on the fence. 😢 We have someone coming out to see if they can pull it up and stake it. I hope so! Other than that we have no damage, but lots of trees down, power outages, and flooding in the area. I did eat ice cream to sooth myself last night.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/26 157.8 workout – 5.5 miles on treadmill in 84:00 @ 3% incline with 3 lb. weights.
6/27 158.8 What!!! Stayed below my calorie goal yesterday. Maybe didn’t drink enough water. Should be a rest day from exercise today so I’m nervous to see the scale tomorrow morning.
6/28 158.2 1 hour cardio/weight training class. Numbers from the heart rate monitor were way off so I’m sticking with the MFP estimate. Stayed below calorie goal. Getting close to the 65 oz goal for water.
6/29 157.4 workout – 4.25 miles on treadmill in 64:00 @ 4% incline with 3 lb. weights.
6/30 157.8 Met friends from out of town for lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Had too many glasses of wine! Had a very light dinner but still expect bad news on the scale tomorrow.
7/1 158.4 was expecting this after the excellent lunch yesterday. Have a quiet Holiday weekend planned so will get back on track. 4.35 miles on treadmill in 65:00 @ 3% incline with no weights.
7/2 157.4 Stayed below calorie goal yesterday. 45 minute boot camp/interval training class this morning. Heart rate monitor said I used 500 calories but I’m not relying on that number.
7/3 157.6 Exercise and calories balanced each other out yesterday. 4.25 miles on treadmill in 64:00 @ 3% incline with no weights.
7/4 157.8 Exercise and calories balanced each other out yesterday. Rest day from exercise.
7/5 157.2 1 hour cardio/weight training class this morning. Slow progress but at least I ended the 10 days with a slight loss (-0.6 lbs).

07/05 …..205.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
07/06 …..203.2 ….. (Trend weight 203.6) A great day yesterday on the diet front. Logged every calorie and made great choices. Closed all my circles on my fitbit which always makes me feel like a winner! Water pill yesterday puts me down almost 2 pounds. So this is my true weight without the water retention. Not happy with the number-Much more work to do. I got some stationary biking in but I did not get a walk in. However, my friend Amy and I (and her son Kyle) got the 5x10 Catio up. Now, to get the roof on and furnish/decorate it! Pebbles and Harriet are going to love it! I think they will prefer it over the leash.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/6 229.0 A bit out of control this weekend. I broke my cardinal rule and didn’t log everything I ate and drank for three days. Especially drank. Lots of get-togethers with friends that took me out of my comfort zone. Now to get back on track, effective immediately. Still catching up on posts but I wanted to post my info for accountability.

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for almost 5 years with amazing results!
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
Up and down - just riding the waves of life. 🌊 🏄♀️ (My new mantra-3/19/22)

I’m new! Not to tracking but to these 10 day challenges. I like the concept because it sounds a lot more manageable than tracking forever!

7/6: 142 - after several weeks of pretty consistent 16:8 IF while eating whatever I wanted, I have not lost any weight, so I decided I need an additional tool/more accountability

Ok, new member, joining because I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and it's very visible around my waist. Also because I need to just become more mindful of what I'm eating, and hopefully lose enough weight to feel good about myself for a wedding in September. I want to make sure to record what I eat so that I can calorie count. Aiming for 1200 calories a day.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Hi all! I used to do this challenge a while ago but stopped...but now I'm back!
I'm Christie, an Aussie, 36yo with a 3.5yo son at home. I work full time as an accountant, so I'm chained to a desk for 9 hours a day! Last year, I lost 30 lbs with the help of this challenge and a few others here on MFP. But around 9-10 months ago, I had a bit of a breakdown mentally. I think I had put too much pressure on myself and so I dropped out of every group I was in on MFP, except for one. Unfortunately, I have since gained over half of that loss back. So I'm here again, taking baby steps to improve my health more every day.
