1.5 lbs lost so far this month. Even though I ate a little more (a lot more?) on one of the days, I didn't gain any weight from it. Drinking lots of water has been extremely helpful! When I tried to manage my weight last time, I wasn't very successful. This time, I have been eating more and drinking much more water, and I am happy with the results.7 -
So excited about this weekโs down. I have been getting my walks in and tracking. Feeling fabulous!

Not new to MFP (2011). Never really used the app though. I decided to finally use it. So far, I like it. I lose my motivation quickly so I feel that some challenges should help.

So I crunched some numbers and realized that I can possibly give myself the gift of "healthy" (in terms of BMI) weight for Christmas next year if I stay the course and throw in some extra workouts along the way. That would be a great goal to aim for to help me remember what I'm aiming for in my weak moments.
Generally, things are going pretty well. 1.5 weeks in to the eating plan and feeling mostly comfortable. Exercise-wise... well let's just say I got reacquainted with my old friend DOMS lol. Still going to get my steps in today, but going to take it easy otherwise.

I might have to revise my July weight challenge.
July goal weight drop: 10 lbs.
July 1 - 319.0
July 7 - 315.0
July 9 - 311.2
I still have 5 days to go till the next weigh in and I'm only 1.2 lbs away from what was my whole goal weight drop for the month!! Definitely was not expecting this. My body really loves calorie counting.

Congratulations on seeing happy results! If you're just starting out, be aware you shouldn't expect to keep up the fast pace. It's very common for initial results to be rapid. Some is just having less food moving through your body. Some is water weight as you access your glycogen stores. So if things slow down, or even stop for a little while, don't blame yourself or feel bad about it. It happens. Just keep doing what you're doing, and you will find success!6 -

I've been on my journey since May 12...... I joined MFP on June 7th. Any weight drop due to water loss happened the first week when I dropped 4.4lbs. I was away camping for 2 weeks and still lost but wasn't calorie counting like I do when at home. I don't think I was eating enough. This isn't my first rodeo so I'm not expecting these large drops to continue. Each week when they do is a gift to my health. I'm truly expecting to lose 1-2 each week which will be a blessing. My 2 times before I lost every week.....losing is not the issue. It's the maintenance. Once I arrive at my goal weight.....this will be a totally different story from now.3 -

Sounds like you understand what comes next, and just keep sticking to it. You already know this.
You're right about maintenance too.
