    SW: 196.8
    Goal this round: -3 lbs
8/25 - Did not weigh - My husband and I booked a trip to Disney and we will be leaving on Oct. 15!
8/26 - Did not weigh - Not fully committed, but realized I needed to start working towards a healthier weight.
    8/27 - 196.8 - Let's do this! Committing to working out 3-4x a week & making healthier choices
8/28 - 195.2 - I had eaten a pretty heavy meal Friday (8/26) night so I’m sure that is why I dropped so much between yesterday and today!
8/29 - 195.4 - it is hard for me to make healthier choices. Plus I am sick so I’m not working out right now.
    8/30 - 193.8
    8/31 - 195.0 - this is why I don’t stick with anything 😞 I fluctuate like crazy!
9/1 - 196.0 - I did not eat healthy yesterday. I am going to try and focus on healthy eating today. Also, I will be drinking more water!
    9/2 - 195.4 - I’m struggling keeping with it

@savvyrose88 you're doing great! don't get discouraged. take a look at the catastrophe i've been this round!

@quiltingjaine thank you for the encouragement. it's so appreciated!

I have done this challenge before and it really helped keep me on track to healthy living. I have since gained most of that weight back (and then some) but I'm not discouraged. I am a 21-year old varsity college athlete who is just looking to lean up a bit - taking small goals at a time as weight-loss isn't my goal - just trying to lean myself into a healthier lifestyle.
    Round 146: -5.1lbs
    Round 147: -0.3lbs
    Round 148: -3.5lbs
    Round 149: +1.6lbs
    Round 195: +16.6lbs
    Round 196: -1.5lbs[\spoiler]

    SW: 181.1lbs
    HW: 196.6
    CW: 189.1
    GW: 175.0

    Day/Weight/Comment
    8/25: 189.4 - just can't seem to break 189...
8/26: 188.4 - wondering if I'm entering too large of a deficit to lose, finding it difficult as I burn around 1,000 calories during training camp a day to eat enough to even come close to a -250 cal deficit, it's always usually around -1000 cal
8/27: 187.6 - finally dipped back down to that number I saw in the last challenge... now the goal is to maintain it
    8/28 - 187.2
    8/29 - 187.6 - haven't posted but weighed - not bad considering I binged last night
8/30 - 188.0 - more binging last night and a rest day... seems to be particularly bad on rest days
    8/31 - 188.0
9/1 - 187.0 - such an encouraging number. Yesterday was an excellent day. Ate out at lunch but stayed within my deficit, got hungry late at night and instead of making a big snack I just ate a small portion of food until I wasn't hungry anymore. Things are starting to look up I think.
9/2 - 187.8 - tomorrow is game day and then I will be binge drinking that night for the first time in a while so we'll see how that goes. It'll be a big calorie burn day but also large cal intake day so who knows?
    9/3 - 187.4 - and a good end to this challenge!

    Trend Weight: 187.8
    Net Gain/Loss: -1.3

OGW: 199 (just to say I did)
    Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

    Goals for this round:

Generally, show some semblance of discipline. Exercise more. Eat less.
Major Goal this round is to make even a little bit of progress toward my maintenance range.
Most Important….Resist mindless shoveling of food into my cake hole! This is a big one.

/long bike ride before long drive home./ Now that DW has an E-Bike, I have trouble keeping up with her. She loves it, and actually gets more exercise using it because she isn’t ready to quit early. I like it because we can ride further together.

    8/31: 216
/mowed grass/ As you can see, I did NOT do a good job of maintaining. We found an ice cream shop near us that had non-dairy ice cream for DW. I may have had a snaccidental malt a time or two..

Good to be back in the saddle with you all.

/nada/ almost no water and salty food yesterday…

/nada/ We had dinner guests over last night. I prepared Sous Vide steak kebobs. Finished them on the charcoal grill. Stressful. I am still full this morning

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.

    09/01 -198.8- (Trend weight 199.8)

09/02 -198.8- (Trend weight 199.7) I made good choices yesterday but the quantities were a bit high. I am glad to see my weight stayed stable, my fat percentage went down and my trend weight continues to go down. Tomorrow is my daughter’s wedding. Hopefully even without that incentive to lose weight, I will still stay on track. My blood pressure continues to be too low and my glucose numbers are through the roof, even with the correct diet. And that is what is so concerning, when I know I have eaten all the “right” foods and my glucose numbers are not responding. The Endocrinologist is probably correct when he says I have become insulin resistant which means I will not respond to the normal oral medications for diabetes anymore. However, I don’t like him and I’m looking for another. So far, no other office within 2 hours of my house. I swear this doctor is at least 110 years old, practically needed help getting into the room, was a grouchy old man and won’t be around much longer anyway. Just being honest……
Okay, I’m off to paint my nails with French manicure. Wish me luck that I can finish them and get them dry before DGS needs too much.

09/03 -199.0- (Trend weight 199.6) Normal fluctuation, no worries. Congrats to all the successes! See you all next round. DD’s Wedding Day!

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    Day/Weight/Calories/Comment

    8/25 - 177.6
Here’s to a successful new round for all!

    8/26 - 178
I had an appt with a new internist today. Went well, and I like her. My bp is up slightly, so I’m motivated now to lose some pounds in the next 4 months to lower it (among other reasons) before my follow-up-on-tests appointment.

    8/27 - 179
Whaaa??? Ok, whatever. Salt maybe. I did have some ice cream, but my total calories were still below goal. Have a great Saturday!

    8/28 - 178.2
Beautiful morning here, and I’m off for a walk with Rory, my pup. It’s soup day—I’ve made a different soup every Sunday since the start of the year—so I’m trying to figure out which new recipe to try today. Fun! Enjoy your day, all.

    8/29 - 178.2
Soup last night was zucchini and corn chowder—I used creamed corn and cut WAY back on the half & half the recipe called for, making calories per serving less than 200. It was delicious. But I did overdo it with snacks later. I don’t know why I get into crazy binges of meaningless food. We don’t keep any junk food in the house, but even so, I can find calories to ingest. Luckily I’m doing it less frequently, so there’s that. Ok, off to teach my competition obedience class and train my pupper. Have a great Monday!

    8/30 - 178
I’m feeling very disinclined to do anything useful today.

    8/31 - 178
Had some ice cream last night. Not really worth the calories. Oh, well.

    9/01 - 179
I’m not surprised, as I’ve been doing some emotional eating lately. Problems with my dog (not new—ongoing since I got him and getting worse despite training and socialization) so I’ve been calorie compensating, which has to stop. Otoh, I’m getting lots of exercise between training and gardening and walking…. I’ll try to clean up my act.

    9/02 - 178.4
We’ll, I probably won’t break even this round, but I’m not beating myself up over it.

    9/03 - 179
Not unexpected. DH made taco casserole last night and I had ice cream again later. Gotta get the emotional comfort foods under control. Oh, well, onward.

    Goal for 2022-2023 Progress

@quiltingjaine- I've not been feeling good since Sunday morning. I've had a migraine and nausea and I'm still not feeling good. I'm going to take a break until after the holiday and be back on Tuesday. Hopefully, with some rest and down time I'll feel better by Tuesday.

    Migraines are miserable. FEEL BETTER!

    Day/Weight/Comment
8/25: 132.5 - Hmm, I seem to always start the rounds pretty well. Yesterday was a good day of workouts and good eating. Still need to work out getting to bed earlier.
    8/26: 132.9 - A little bit of late night eating…
8/27: 134.0 - Yikes! We had nothing in the house to eat so we ended up getting falafel salad takeout. Got both my workouts in.
8/28: 132.9 - I don’t feel like I ate particularly well, but a lot of it was nibbles here and there. Got both my workouts in and slept in quiet late today.
8/29: 132.9 - Neighborhood block party/potluck that was well attended. Got to meet many of the new families that have moved in recently. Today will be prepping for a dinner party that we’re having tomorrow at our house. House is in good shape, so mainly figuring out what food I need to get ready for and what my refrigerator/freezer can actually hold!
8/30: 132.7 - I don’t feel like I deserve even this little/tiny drop on the scale since I ate a lot of junk yesterday. I had a couple of mishaps in the kitchen (I.e. had to remake a cake and even then screwed up the re-make) in preparation for having some friends over tonight. I should just throw the stuff out, but my husband doesn’t think it was that bad and is eating it. I had to balance prepping as much as I could with how much I could realistically fit into my refrigerator - it’s like jenga in there.
8/31: 134.7 - Double yikes! I haven’t tracked all my food for the last 4 days and it is showing on the scale. I”m getting lots of exercise, but you can’t out Jazzercise your fork. Last night was taco Tuesday with a side of enchiladas, margaritas and some wine tasting for a friend’s upcoming wedding. Oh, and the Tres Leches cake (the one I had to remake and still screwed up).
9/1: 133.2 - Still eating leftovers from the other night, but no cake. Saving the cake for a friend’s birthday on Friday. Oh, and no margaritas or wine. That helped.
9/2: 134.9 - Still eating leftovers - this time with cake and margaritas. Got two good workouts in yesterday.
9/3: 134.9 - Still eating leftovers, but in a slightly more low-cal way. Had cake to celebrate our friend’s birthday but gave the rest away. Got my workouts in early in the day.

Total round weight loss/gain to date from EO last round: + 1.3 pounds

    9/2 - 195.4 - I’m struggling keeping with it
    9/3 - 195.4

I lost 1 lb this round. Ready for the next one.

Michelle, 51 y/o mom of two teens
    HW: 251.9 (6/2021)
    R197 sw:218.8 goal:217.8 end: 214.5

    Day, Weight, Comment
    8/25: 218.8
    8/26: 219.3
    8/27: 219.8
8/28: 215.7 … stepped on the scale three times, I can’t explain this number
8/29: 216.2 … knee is feeling much better. I was able to move a lot more, I was considerably more active.
8/30: 215.7 … mildly productive day. Made better choices yesterday. I’m up and on my way to the gym today with my daughter at 5:45. Hopefully setting the stage for a great day
8/31: 216.9 … over did it on homemade monkey bread and cheese it’s. Only drank 47 Oz of water & didn’t get enough steps in. I always notice a bump up in weight when I start back at the gym. Something about DOMS and lactic acidosis retention, blah blah. All I hear is monkey bread & cheez it’s.

Waiting for my daughter to get up for day two of our 6:00 am gym sesh. Today is going to be chest & tricep.

9/01: 218.0 … my daughter punked on the gym yesterday, I told myself I was going to go without her, but I failed. I drank plenty of water, stayed in my calorie range and fasting hours. I didn’t move enough though. Spent three hours at a doctors appointment for my daughter. I only got 4.5 hours sleep the last two nights and I was just grumpy yesterday. Dinner last night was SUPER salty (don’t know how that happened) so, I’m hoping the jump in weight is just water. I’m feeling some residual ickies in my mood from yesterday. I forgot what time my kid said we were going to the gym today, but I am up and ready. Going to have some caffeine and go wake her up

9/02: 216.6 … made it to the gym yesterday! I love the slight sore feeling I get the next day. Took today off, daughter had 6am cheer practice. One of these days, I’ll have the guys & motivation to go alone. Did not meet my step & water goal, but I hit my calorie & fasting window.

9/03: 214.5 … Every day I see where I have fallen short of my goals. I don’t drink enough water, not enough steps, ate over my goal. Every day I fall short. But, every day, I’ve also succeeded. I may not have drank a gallon of water, but I drank more than last week. I may not hit 12k steps, but I worked out and walked more than yesterday. I may go over my calorie range, but I stay under 2k and the quality of food is better.

I may be falling short of my goals, but I’m making progress. Progress over perfection, isn’t that what they say? I may not have been perfect. Daily, I’d feel bad about that. But, over these 10 days, I’ve made better choices, had some good days and some not so good. But, overall, I’m proud of my progress this first round of mine.

I look forward to building on the progress I’ve made and getting closer to hitting my goals!

    64 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 197 ( my 129th). Thanks @QuiltingJaine.

Goal this round again is to lose. We go on holiday in 2 1/2 weeks! No binges, keep within calories & macros.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

    Day/Weight/Comment
    8/25 138.4 - 12.71 miles walked, 50% exercise calories eaten back.

    exercise.png

8/26 138.8 – No structured exercise yesterday, took little DGS out to a wildlife park, lots of walking but mostly pushing stroller & forgot to put Fitbit on ankle (doesn't count steps on wrist whilst pushing!), also he did a lot of walking himself – at very slow pace.
I need to get my food addiction under control; it's totally starting to take over my life again & getting of that spiral is difficult. There is not even any reason for this - I am blessed with my life & family being rosey at the moment & we are looking forward to our first holiday abroad in 16 days. Come on Phyl, take control, sort yourself out !!!
8/27  137.6 - pleased with that number, treated yesterday as a reset day & totally had perfect , eating feel much better with myself & caught up with sleep. No structured walking as DH & I travelled 4 hours towing or caravan to the coast for a long bank holiday weekend. Aiming to be consistent through ready of round.
8/28 137.6 - lovely sunny day striking down to and along the beach and back to 13.29 miles, ⅓ exercise calories eaten back.
8/29 138.2 - 9.89 miles, walked down to and then along the beach to meet up with family, had a glorious day playing in the sea and sand with all our little DGC (4), the youngest is now officially a toddler, how wonderful to see her toddling about instead of just crawling! They travelled up just to have a beach day with us, previous time to see them all growing up. ½ exercise calories eaten back.
8/30 138.2 - 17.03 miles walked ! Earned my first Fitbit Cleats badge for walking 40K steps; down to the beach, on to the coastal path and headed off to Scarborough and back. Under ¼ exercise calories eaten back, disappointed no movement on the scales, but I'll be patient!
8/31 138.2 - 6.15 miles walked, travelled back home, but not before we walked down to the beach for last look! ¼ exercise calories eaten back.
9/1 136.4 – whoosh !! weighed several times to confirm this !! No structured exercise as child care day for DGS hence 330 calories over.
    9/2 137.4 – that's a more realistic figure, 7 miles walked yesterday, 60% exercise calories eaten back.
9/3 138.2 – hoping this is sodium from last night's grilled gammon, with hindsight not the best choice for the penultimate meal, but saw a tin of pineapple in juice in the cupboard and really fancied gammon & pineapple !! Which makes me 0.2 pound up this round, could have been worse, but could have been better. 9.86 miles walked and all but 1 exercise calorie eaten back !!

KEEP SAFE EVERYONE :). Keep calm – Covid is still out there despite lifting of practically all restrictions, take care, remain vigilant we're still in this together!

9/3 - 130!!! I can’t believe it. I made my challenge goal by the skin of my teeth this time. Phew! Only down a net 1.8 lbs but with my trip at the beginning of the challenge I was going to be happy if I maintained. I didn’t achieve any of my non-scale goals other than fasting most days, but I’m going to thank travel and covid for that. Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. It won’t be very festive since we are all still sick. Ah well, we’ll have a bunch more if all goes according to plan! See everyone next round!

Congrats on your anniversary, maybe you can celebrate when you are all better <3

People are still dying out there……… and the numbers are on the rise again.
    😷Take care! Stay safe!😷

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

I am about 8.5 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. My weight has been dropping for 5 months now. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.

    Heaviest ever 1st Jan 2021, goal+31.8 kg
    * means kg lost
    Round 181 ending 856 cm
    Round 182 ending 851 cm
    Round 183 ending 844.5 cm *
    Round 184 ending 841 cm
    Round 185 ending 836 cm
    Round 186 ending 833 cm *
    Round 187 ending 830 cm
    Round 188 ending 826 cm
    Round 189 ending 822.5 cm *

    Round 194 ending 805 cm
    Round 195 ending 801.5 cm
    Round 196 ending 799 cm
    ...
    Round 262 ??? goal weight

bolded numbers means dropped by 0.5 cm

    101.0 94.5 103.0 57.5 49.5 55.5 49.0 102.0 96.0 104.0 26th

    102.5 93.0 103.5 57.0 47.5 56.5 47.5 103.5 94.5 104.5 4th

This calculates to 797.5 cm, a loss from the last round

How this round went: my eating is slowly creeping up, that's being done by the sugar intake, which I'm trying to go off. I went 2 days with zero sugar. I only lost 1.5 cm this round, which is my lowest yet, that's an indication that I'm needing to cut back on food. Exercise is going well.
