Did anyone lose weight in their ears? I have really fat ear lobes and can't wear certain styles of earrings...?6

My weight was 376 back on Dec. 9th. I am down to 266 now. First thing I noticed was I didn't have to wear pads for accidents. I can now hold my toes to clip my toenails. I was just in the hospital and had to have an MRI and a CAT scan and cried when I could fit in the tubes with no velcro to hold the fat in and no one asking me how much I weigh because there are weight limits on both machines.35

I used to take ibuprofin almost daily for joint pain. The last time I took any was several weeks ago and I don't remember the time before that.15

Two recent NSV:
1. My BMI has dropped below 35. Still obese, but now in the lowest class of obese.
2. I can no longer feel the rolls of back fat. I still have a bit of a bulge there, but it's no longer enough to sit on the skin below it. Buh-bye, back fat!18 -
So… I just had my virtual health check up for my biometric screening. I’ve lost 75 pounds since my one a year ago (125 pounds down from my
highest medically recorded weight) and um… my NP was absolutely floored. She asked “What are you doing to lose this weight?” She suggested my BMI is a bit high due to my muscle mass (it’s not , I’m still squishy in places and actively trying to shed fat) suggested my very low resting heart rate (43) is due to being “athletic “ and was just overjoyed at my bloodwork. My cholesterol, A1C. etc was just perfect. I can’t imagine someone describing me as athletic or having “high muscle mass”. It’s crazy.
Anyway, I’m super happy about that. I’m literally working my butt off and it feels like a little reassurance that I’m heading in the right direction.27 -
My BMI has dropped from 48.7 (my highest ever) to 44.8. Inching my way down to one day be in the healthy category.26

I can walk Walmart without having to lean on a cart. I felt so bad telling my daughter I need to push the cart because my back hurt while we shop. Now she can have it!22

I measured out my chips before I ate them, I skipped fast food and ate at home instead and I stopped to get gas and nearly bought a brownie but decided not to.26

I deadlifted my target bodyweight today!20

I spent last weekend at the beach with some close girlfriends. My bedroom was two stories up from the front door, and I carried my own bags plus groceries up the two flights all by myself. I walked to the beach, walked around the small village downtown, to the lighthouse and back and even kept up my seated cardio while there, coming back home to find that I had a 4 lb scale victory while I was gone!

I had to get all new pajamas and clothes because everything is too big for me! I have 79 lbs off. That last darn pound has been hanging in there all month. Can't wait to get 80 lbs off!23

I’ve had a lose-y goosy sort of weekend with exercise and eating. However, it’s Sunday, I’ve woken up ready to hit the gym and eat well. Gives me hope that ever Somehow hit maintenance I might actually be successful.
I’ve had success with losing weight in the past (many successes) but then I change jobs or move countries and some how it just gets away from me again9 -
Yesterday I went to my Aunt's 81st birthday party.
There was a lot of food. Croissant deli sandwiches, chips, cake and I made a gallon of banana ice cream.
I also gave her a big jar of fudge my wife and I made.
My NSV.
I only ate the turkey meat off one sandwich.
In past times I would have over eat all the high Cal, high carb goodies.
As a bonus the scale was down a pound this morning.13 -

My NSV is I have figured out what my brain needs to let go of my too big clothes. It’s simple: Put. It. On.
Fine, brain, you love it so much, let’s wear it. 😂
And yep, that’s what I needed to do. I needed to actually see that this clothes does not fit and as much as I like it, this amount of tailoring is beyond my skill set so I need to let it go.16 -
My latest NSV is trying on my size 26 jeans which I have not worn since May 2020. They had gotten too tight. I could do them up but I hate tight pants so wouldn't wear them. Since it's getting colder now and I'm having to put away my stretchy capri's (size 24's) I tried on the jeans. Well dang it all.....they're very baggy. My husband asked if I was sure I wanted to wear them as they look too big now. Yippee!! Big win!! I will wear them for a bit yet.....but will try on some size 22/20's black pants I have to see how they fit.18

for several years, I´ve been a pant size 38, I had to buy new pants for work the other day, and, knowing I lost some weight, bought several 36, only to found out they fall down too! my solution is adding some more holes to my belt10

Happy Halloween! We just got home from trick or treating and one of my neighbors said “Girl! You have gotten tiny!” I’m definitely not tiny, but it felt nice to hear. 🎃13

When I first started, I had a goal of walking 4 miles per day. They required 3-4 walks per day at a very slow pace. They also led to a lot of blisters. This week I hit a new record ... 126 miles in 7 days (and no blisters!).25

So, last January I bought a diet/fitness tracking workbook and page one was weight, measurements and goals. I took the measurements and wrote down my goals and then folded taped the page shut. I was thinking yesterday my ankles were especially swollen (they are) and went to that old workbook that had my stats written down so I could verify what I was thinking.
My goal “lose 50’pounds”… I’m down 55 from that recorded weight (125’total) which is a scale victory, obviously , but the NSV here is looking through the early pages of that book, how much I was eating (1300 calories) , the exercises I was focusing on, the small victories I was recording (not eating McDonalds with my family, making better choices, etc.) … guys, I’m a whole new person.
I met my recorded goals. I exceeded my highest wishes for myself and I am just so proud of what I have done. I have medical conditions that limit what I can do, but I’m 100% committed to building health and wellness in my body despite those other issues.
Just. Keep. Going. 💪29
