Worked. I was told that they’re going to have me work only Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday and see how that works out. Honestly, to me, 6 days/week was getting to be a lot, so I really don’t have a problem with it. I do suspect that on the days that I am working, I’ll have to do more prep since I suspect that they’ll run things down to nothing. So at the end of the day, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m working the same number of hours. Plus...now I can go to the gym more often. So it’ll work
I did talk to Jerry today. First I told him that the onions hadn’t been rotated, that I had to have someone else do it. He insisted that they had been rotated and I told him they hadn’t. He looked to see the dates they came in, and, sure enough, they hadn’t been rotated. His way of dealing with someone saying something negative to him is for him to walk away, which is what he did. But he did come back and I told him that he knows that the reason we separate the pickles on Friday is so that I can lift them on Saturday. I distinctly told him Friday that I could probably lift them once they were drained and they weren’t drained. He walked away but came back again. So I said to him “you were so proud of the fact that you were finished before I was on Friday. Do ya think this had anything to do with it? Do ya think”
He said to me that Saturday is his day off. So that means you do a crap job on Friday? I don’t think so….. I’m sure (and this I can understand somewhat) that he wants to be done before me so that I can take him home. I can understand where he’s coming from, but that doesn’t make it right
He did come in late today. Probably slept it off.
Anyway, when I went to leave he said “ready?” for me to take him home. I just told him that I had a meeting.
Honestly, I won’t hold a grudge, I’ll probably take him home Wednesday. But I do want the message to get thru and I think it will.
Karen – I’ve tried going to a FB Marketplace because I would like a different bed for the guest room at the condo. I haven’t seen much on FBM. Maybe I’m looking at something incorrectly. What link do you use?
Barbara – your drive sounds so scary! So glad to hear you are safe
Tina – have fun at the concert. I’ll certainly be looking for ideas for food that can be transported. I’ve been asked to bring something to bowling next week when they’ll be celebrating Veteran’s Day and also the November birthdays. Right now I’m thinking cheese
Rita – when I first saw that first picture, I was reminded of when we watch the space shuttle launches down in FL
Vicki – congrats on the new vehicle. Tell us more about it. Color?
Diane – welcome
katla – so glad you had such a good time. You deserve it.
Went to ceramics. I think tomorrow I’ll get to the gym to do a body pump DVD. I then have a doctor’s appt.

Allie - I meant to ask you, did you see there is going to be a Walton’s special on November 20th. It’s a whole new cast, I wonder if they are remaking it and this is a test run.

This was a good day. I enjoyed good friends, good food, and good conversation at a pleasant restaurant. It was a pleasure.5

Tracey that's a good idea! He can park it at his job and leave it until Wednesday after work and then drive it home. Something we don't have to worry about being broken into or stolen. Although I just asked my husband and he said nowadays that's more like $4,000. He now officially has an expensive hobby, work!🥺

Hi Barbie! I just stumbled upon this thread and I’m so pleased. This seems to be just the thing to keep me motivated. I’m not new to MFP but I’ve just restarted. I have 40-50lbs to lose so I have quite the journey ahead of me.
I am 66 yrs old, have MS, hypothyroidism and obviously post menopausal. Physical activity is a bit of challenge due to my MS. Pilates is my go to exercise along with free weights for my upper body. Right now I can’t due either due to a shoulder injury. I’ll be having surgery in February followed by rehab. So for now it’s a matter of closely watching my diet for weight loss.
My biggest challenge is to get enough protein in my diet.
Have a great one.

The storm they said would be here has hit and hit hard- came home from class and the door mat had a bunch of hail on it. Thankfully it stopped raining just long enough for me to drive home.
Got a text while at class. My daycare girl is sick so she will be staying home tomorrow which means an extra day off for me and I dont have to go out in the storm to go get her.
Finishing up my day with these stats:
164 minutes(walked the wetlands and then zumba)
22,170 steps
8 floors
10.00 miles
2356 calories burned.
Did extra beings I won't be walking the wetlands in the storm tomorrow(but, I did just order myself a rain jacket so I can if I want to another day. Amazon had one half off- so just $10.
Beings I am off tomorrow, I plan on working on getting the treadmill cleaned off so I can use it again.

Morning ladies
Started November a bit on the back foot and finding it hard to catch up.
Going to the Vet this morning with the mummy cat to be spayed, my mum has decided to call her Poppy (because she pops in and out of her house)
Kittens going to their new home tomorrow, still looking for the fourth kitten - it was in my mums garden yesterday and I almost caught it, but it wouldn't come into the kitchen far enough for me to close the door behind it. It is very nervous and quick!
Have to dash, not sure how busy the traffic will be.
Take care and love to all

Welcome @nelsondiane952 Diane form Seattle area and @designer91056 Mary Therese in Buffalo!
Rori and Heather thank you for the pics!
Lisa I feel the same way you do about DH’s snoring
Tracey I think the vacuum noise is are actually painful for him. The washer not so much. In any case, my resentment has eased after reading the reactions here. This is such a supportive and healing group of wise women. The Vermont Country Store has those chenille bedspreads… for a price !!! https://www.vermontcountrystore.com/bedding/category/bedspreads
@linder4866 ?Joyce? good to see you popping in!
Barbie That is a big tree down! Glad no one was hurt.
Carol that teacher’s aid was mistaken as well as rude. From Wikipedia: “The name "Viet Nam" (with a space separating the two syllables) is formally designated and recognized by the Government of Vietnam, the United Nations and the International Organization for Standardization as the standardized country name for Vietnam.”
Katla so happy for your exceptional day. ((hugs))
Thanks all for the concern about my harrowing trip. I feel very loved.

30 Days of Gratitude
1. Smell - freshly cut grass on our lawn.
2. Technology - the amazing advancements in medical technology.
3. Colour - blue. Beautiful blue sky peaking through the clouds.
4. Food - soup. That's what I've been eating just recently because there's less chewing. We always keep a few cans of soup on hand for situations like these.
5. Sound - my music. I've recently acquired a number of nature sounds CDs with music playing along with sounds of ocean waves, birds, and so on. Lovely.
6. Nature - I love nature. It would be incredibly difficult for me to pick just one thing. I am so grateful that there is nature and that I can enjoy it.
7. Memory - Winter 2017. The last time I visited my parents and a wonderful 1-month holiday to Canada that June/July. My husband and I did two cycling events and a lot of other cycling. We climbed mountains and explored a glacier. We visited friends and family.

Karen-admire your tenacity in dealing with your brother's issues. So many things we take for granted that are so simple can stand in our way.
Barbarabrother's pizza nothing fancy-pepperoni, mushroom, sausage. It is the independent little shop close to my house he likes. They are very popular but its a 20 minute drive for him. Drive does sound scary!
Machka-hope healing continues-does not sound comfortable at all.
Dianegood job planning run! I can't run (hip replacements), but I have done more things physically since hitting 65 than before!
Beth-congrats on new roof. They are messy and noisy going in but worth it!
Rori-thanks for the pictures! It is just beautiful there.
Heather-You are seeing a totally different landscape than Rori but it is also wonderful!
Mary Terese-welcome. Can you walk for exercise? I find at least doing that is helpful to me.
Katla-glad you had a good visit.
Tracey-you seem to keep your days full. I do not envy you the snow this early!
Made it through first official day back to work full-time yesterday. Between that and time change was tired last night. Was productive though.
Brother is moving along slowly. Not certain how many days a week pt/ot will be at house. At evaluation yesterday they reinforced he cannot walk unassisted or by himself yet and he must go slower (he is trying to rush everything). Hopeful he can be a compliant patient.
Did much better with eating yesterday-thankfully the birthday/surgery mode seems to have ended (just in time for the holidays!). Walking up to @ 2 miles a day. Trying to figure ut the pain in top of left foot-I think it is arthritis.
Off to breakfast and work. Early morning meeting.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

I am awake early and thinking about DH. I live our apartment and want DH with me. Our daughter wants him nearby her work place. I have seen the place where he has been. The space was cluttered and not clean when I recently spent a bit of time with him. I hope to talk about it with him today.2

Went around Sète in the coach and we are going back in now. Cloudy but warm. Revisited a place I stayed in , in 1983 for 2 weeks. Bouzigues. Famous for oysters.
Looks the same from a distance.
Nothing looks as good when the sun isn't shining!
These are the oyster 'tables' .

Remember that your husband needs nursing care and that it is not easy to get into a good care facility.
From what you've said he has had 2 heart attacks quite close together and now is retaining enough fluid for the hospital to have to do a procedure on him. He's not been well.
Your daughter has probably chosen the best place she could find for now. Fortunately it is near someone in the family. She loves him too.
I know it is hard to be patient.

I have visited DH more than once. His place in the facility is crowded with random stuff. It doesn’t seem clean or tidy. I am not eager to move there. Our daughter’s work place is near by, and she sees him regularly. That is a plus. I like the place here, where he and I have a nice apartment. There are nurses here that available to help. The situation is complicated.

Absolutely exhausted. Too much walking for days in a row.
We had a stroll around Sète, which was nice, but very off season. The restaurant I had checked out online looked great, but we had changed our minds because of the weather, and ate lunch on the boat. We weren't really in the mood for a big seafood lunch.
I started to flag after a couple of hours, so I came back on my own. DH still exploring.
These are the boats they use in the annual jousting competition on the canal. The statue is of a jouster with his long pole.
Now to sleep. Sleep. Glorious sleep.

I am afraid I got a little behind in reading the posts.
Heather: I am enjoying the pictures. I am not sure I could do all the walking and admire you for doing so!
Katla: So pleased you saw an old teacher friend as well as other friends.
Lisa: 15 hours is a lot of sleep. Must be the Covid shot!
Karen: How great your spouse's son took so much furniture. Happy Birthday to Lilly Belle!
Machka9: Great you got a cycle ride in and are enjoying your garden.
Ginny: Happy Birthday; Sorry about your brother's health.
MaryCath: I track how much I spend at Starbucks to try to keep from going there too much!
Debbie: I hope your son's blood work is okay. My husband talked about his job for years.
I have not read much Nora Roberts but will look into reading a book by her. I love the pictures from Hawaii! Welcome to the newbies! I went to the gym again yesterday, caretaking today. I signed up for a virtual Thanksgiving RoadRace 6 miles to be done over a couple of days. I hope I have time with the caretaking but my son is going to come on one of the weekends for Thanksgiving so this will be something to focus on during Thanksgiving. I purchased a cast iron frying pan to try and cook filet mignon steak for my son's visit. I will soak the steak in garlic butter. I have not done this recipe before.
Still sunny here in GA!
Best,
Rosemarie from GA

Katla--Glad all went well with your friend's visit. Sounds like the internet helped good friends connect. Happy for you.
Michele--Our new car drives very nice. I just have to get used to having to climb up to get in as it sits higher, which is nice when driving. It is Eby Black. We drove over to our son's last evening which is about 20 miles away to see how it does on the highway. I do think we will like it and it does have better leg room. I take my knitting when we go out of town and there is better space for me to work on that. Our teenage DGD loves the fact she can sit in the back and not have her legs all bent up, she is almost 6 feet tall.
Barbara--Thanks for sharing about the chenille bedspreads. I agree what a price!!!
I do think the time change is catching up with me. I have a 3-4 hour monthly management meeting this afternoon. I just hope I can stay awake. It is cooler today and trying to rain.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE4 -
Good morning ladies!
Well there's another ten minutes of morning. My digestion is off, and I keep putting off grocery shopping and voting just to sit still a little longer.
My mom is threatening to skip voting but I told her it's either voting or the doctor so she might as well get dressed. She just laughs at me. At least she is cheerful.
I can imagine voting is scary if you can only stand for a few minutes, and that's with something to hold on to. The responsible thing would have been to get an absentee ballot, but we didn't do that. Oh well.
There's still time for things to settle down.

I'm home from a lovely walk in the snow, partly in the dark and partly in the daylight. We have such a great neighborhood for walking and I am grateful for it every day. Bessie jumped and frolicked in the snow for a few minutes and then want to go back to the house.
Katla, when you visit your husband, can you help tidy his room to make it more comfortable for him>
Michele, can you tell the roofer that you will be gone from December X to December X+6 and then make reservations to stay near Denise and PJ? This is your opportunity for Christmas with PJ without Vince's decorations to keep you home.
I am also grateful for all the different coats, shoes, scarves, hats, gloves, etc. that I have so I can be warm and dry on m walks no matter what the weather.
