Please join us starting on 11/23 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 206!
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

/Spinning and stretching/ The eve of my favorite holiday. Not just because I love to eat, but it is a time to be aware of what you can be thankful for, then give thanks. Good to have some seldom seen family hanging around. And it is not horribly commercialized. (yet)
We are hosting again this year, so I am throwing a couple small turkeys in the Big Green Egg (smoker) today. Using the spatchcock method. It tastes so good and frees up oven space for other things DW wants to bake. I also get to play with fire.
Thankful for you all.

I’m Amanda - 37 years old, 5’2”
R206 SW: 124.8
R206 GW: 121.4 - I realize this is a huge stretch goal but I’m just keeping my same goal as the last round which would have only been a one-pound loss. Just suffered a round of self-sabotage and trying to get back on track!
Day/Weight/Comment
11/23 - 122.6, that’s a relief! I finally had a good day and must have flushed a lot of water and other (TMI) stuff out. I did not sleep well. I stayed up too late watching a Christmas movie (Falling for Christmas with Lindsay Lohan was so cute!) and woke up early to the sounds of mice in the wall. We just can’t seem to get rid of those buggers. My old cat is not a mouser and apparently her smell doesn’t work as a deterrent. The only thing we’ve ever had success with is a “humane” trap but it kind of feels the opposite of humane. However, they eat the bait right off of any snap traps we’ve tried.

These work! Each time you set it you have to shake it down a bit and get the clip holder lined up, but once you get the hang of it, you will get those mice one at a time until they are all gone. It's quick for the mouse. And it's hands free and easy to dispose of the mouse afterward.

Count me in for this round. My goal is to weigh less than SW. I lost 1.2 pounds last round but it was a struggle. My weight fluctuated up and down. This round I will continue to plan/track meals, exercise even though traveling, and avoid late-night snacking triggers. I am, I can, I will, I do!
Day/Weight/Comment
11/23: 147 - Had 2 NA beers with pizza last night which was a small win since I usually drink a high-calorie hazy IPA with my pizza. I'm looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with family in NC. Two things I heard on the Today Show that I'm going to try - 1) Eat slowly; and 2) Take a walk right after the meal.

11/22 …..198.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
11/23 -196.6- (Trend weight 198.5) Yay!!! I attribute this first and foremost to releasing the water after my medication. This would be my true weight! In addition, my diet has been about the same the last couple of days but my activity has increased at least 100%. Getting the new kitchen ready for Thanksgiving dinner Saturday has been a lot of work and calorie burn. I’m not quite done yet! I finally heard from cardiac rehab. I start on Dec 9th. 2x per week for 12 weeks which involves a lot of travel. That is never good but I will form new habits surrounding this so it minimizes the damage. And medically supervised rehab will safely help create a bigger calorie burn. I’m excited for all the advantages it holds for me. I’m tired of not being allowed to do anything including taking walks!
I hope all who celebrate will enjoy your Thanksgiving tomorrow. I hope you can spend time with family and friends during this time. I am thankful to be alive and to have family and friends who love me.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 5 years with amazing results!
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

11/23 123.0 Making pie crusts and rolls (homemade brown and serve) for tomorrow. Making soap this afternoon with DD#2 and sewing friends. Wish DH would wake up so I can get started. He’s sleeping in the recliner - still!4 -
Some time ago I read an article that questioned WHY we who celebrate Thanksgiving always overeat on that day. It’s a valid question. Can’t you eat those foods ANY DAY? The only one I only fix for Thanksgiving that I don’t make other times of the year is the turkey. (My DH isn’t a fan) Gorging on that wouldn’t be disastrous. Just FOOD FOR THOUGHT. 😋2

Hi, this is my first time trying this. I think the daily weighing will help me to stay motivated.
About me, I'm a 36 year old mom of 2. After my second, the weight just started to creep up.
I'm ready to get it back under control and work towards being healthier.
SW: 263.2 lbs
GW: 261.0 lbs - this is only my second week back and I had a big loss in my first week so I'm a little skeptical I'll lose 2.2 lbs in 10 days, but I'm going to give it my all!

11/23 - 263.2 lbs - woke up feeling awful, this cold will not let up. I love my daughter going to school for the day, but I do not love the germs she brings home!

Working on getting my Blood Pressure down a bit through exercise and diet. I also do intermittent fasting, which helps me limit my evening snacking and wine 🍷 drinking to social events only.

~ Remember to weigh-in before bed
~ I’m nervous about overeating tomorrow and I have no real game plan to prevent it from happening. I wish I could say “I’ll just have self control.. and I’ll be alright!” But that seems unrealistic especially with drinking and a bunch of family grouping together🫤
Stayed Below SW 171.5 👍=Yes 👎=No
