If you are celebrating Thanksgiving today, remember this....
I belong to a bunch of MFP and WW Facebook pages and some people are so hard on themselves when they go over their calories or points. If you do, give yourself a break then get right back at it tomorrow. Don't let one day, or one long weekend, derail your entire journey!
Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S MFP friends!

Happy Thanksgiving! I will eat pretty much what I want today as we are going out to a buffet. Will get back on track on Friday.5

Looking back over past 4 or 5 years, with the exception of May to Aug 2021, all I see are unmet goals. Slow but steady 10 # backslide started Sept ’21. Seeing 167 last month sure was a reality check … only 3 below 170’s which took forever to get below.
New goal is to just move down the ladder 1 lb at a time. Get it off, hold, keep it off, then focus on the next pound.

I had a huge whoosh this week and met my first weight goal for the challenge. Last week after going out to lunch twice had me retaining water, so I knew there would be a loss this week, but I am still surprised how much of a loss it is.
Weighing everyday definitely helps keep me stay focused. I also do Pilates, not that it burns many calories to make a difference in my weight loss, but a couple of weeks ago I changed my class schedule and started taking classes first thing in the morning. I have found this to really be helpful for me as Pilates really focusses on breath work, and for me, I have found this to help with my stress and anxiety which in turn helps me focus on making better food choices.
Today hubby and I are going out for a hike, then we are going out for Thanksgiving dinner. A couple of weeks ago I told my husband that I did not want to go to the in-laws for dinner, I don't know, I just didn't feel like being around a lot of people. My husband decided he wouldn't go either and instead we are treating ourselves to a really nice dinner at a really nice restaurant, so no clean-up or tempting leftovers either.

I need to lose about 74 grams a day for this challenge because I started late
November
18 87.7 I celebrated by overeating because I did something I'd been putting off for a couple of years due to anxiety
19 88.3 Again I overate because I am going off sugar
20 88.3 I would have lost weight, definitely didn't eat at maintenance
21 87.7 I ate under maintenance, 2 days in a row
22 87.2 I definitely over ate because of various reasons, hopefully that doesn't happen again
23 88.0 I ate below maintenance
24 87.5 I overate because I celebrated after I did something for hopefully the last time in my life
25 87.3
Spreadsheet trendline is a high number grams a day, more than needed

Hi, I had already starteda personal challenge like this on 1st Nov but only just found this group and I am happy to have found others to share with.
Start weight 67kg (147lbs) with a very disproportionate waist and a fear of type 2 diabetes etc if I didn't change my ways!
Current weight 65.5kg (144lbs) and although I forgot to measure my waist at the start I am sure it is a bit smaller.
I log every day and I am trying do bodyweight exercises but injuries are my nemesis!
Weighing in today 65.0kg, which I am pleased about as I thought I was stuck 😀10 -
Hi all! Back for another weigh-in. I'm kind of easing into things. My goal for the past week was to begin consistently logging my meals again. This week, my goal is to stop eating after dinner. I started grazing in the evenings during my pregnancy -- a habit which I thought was gone for good. Going to tackle it once again; it really helps me stay on track when I have a stopping point for eating each day.
Height: 5'1"
Goal: 120

I am a 5'3" 61 year old retiree living in upstate NY.
I started tracking again with MFP on January 3rd 2022 and have lost 58.6 lbs to date.
My final goal weight is around 135.

Good Morning and I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I ate like I was on death row, having my last meal. Well weigh in is on Fridays so this is no surprise:
HW: 170
Nov 4 167.6
Nov 11 166.2
Nov 18 Did not weigh
Nov 25 168
So as you can see, I am going the wrong way. I must remember to weigh in regularly. I will switch to 2x a week but just post weekly here. I have to really be mindful because we all know the rest of the year is all about eating, drinking parties, etc. My mother's husband, who is 85 said at dinner, "My doctor said the 3 things to avoid are tobacco, alcohol, and sugar."7 -

CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 15 pounds to land at 182.8
CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT (FROM Oct 31): 197.8
CHALLENGE ENDING WEIGHT:
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s
Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.
11/01-199.8-(Trend Weight: 200.2)- Was it the travel weight, the Halloween candy, or the 3 hours of sleep last night? Moving forward, but remembering in the Book of Psalms that it says in part “My life is continually in my hands……”
11/07-198.8-(Trend Weight: 199.9)- I lost one full pound during Halloween week. I count that as a win.
11/14-197.6-(Trend Weight: 199.1)- The scale hasn’t tipped this low since September so I feel like this is an opportunity. Travel tomorrow and Thursday. I’ve got to hang on to my progress!
11/21-198.6-(Trend Weight: 198.7)- One month ago on 10/21 I weighed 201.8 with a trend weight of 200.4. I needed to look back because I was feeling defeated today even though the trend weight went down. I can see that I am making progress even though it is slow. I need to lose more than 2 pounds in a month but at least it is in the right direction! Thanksgiving week. That is a challenge for us all who celebrate this week.
11/28-196.6-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- I lost 2 pounds during Thanksgiving week? That has got to be the first time in, like, EVER. I’m really trying 90% of the time. Clearly there is still room for growth but I’m proud that I managed to accomplish this! I can see that I won’t make my November goal because of all the bouncing back & forth, but I’m headed in the right direction.

Haven't checked in for a while. Was traveling, then got discouraged when the scale went up!
Doing much better now! I've decided to try 16:8 fasting again.. with just a little cheat: heavy whipping cream in my coffee each morning. So far it seems to be working well! I am only eating between noon and 8 PM. And lots of water otherwise.
