Hi everyone!

The past couple of years have been really tough. I lost my mom to Leukemia in March of 2020 along with a whole lot of other host of difficult things happening.

Positive notes-I have:

1. Become aware that I have used food as a comfort since I was very young
2. Continued therapy to address grief, depression, and CPTSD
3. Practiced intentionally being more compassionate and gentle with myself
4. Found healthier ways to cope
5. Found healthier, more satisfying ways to nourish my body.
6. Realized hydration is so important.

I have reached a place where I feel so much more confident and free. Looking back on pictures I see a difference, but I mostly feel the difference :)

In August 2020 I was 149, and now 129! phxromy8uump.jpeg

Half of the battle is tied up in self discovery first. We all have our own personal hurdles to over come and I am happy you are finding a good place mentally and physically to be in. Take care of your self and enjoy that freedom!

your story is inspiring. i'm glad you're on the journey to heal. i also am a survivor of childhood PTSD. i highly recommend checking out David Berceli's youtube for you and everyone else on MFP. he shows methods anyone can do to release built up tension in the body for ongoing health. it's made the hugest difference in my life and helps me live with the stage four cancer i'm already dealing with. here's the link! best wishes to you :)
