πŸ˜€ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. πŸ˜€

I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.

Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.

You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπŸ˜€

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.

    I’ve been at a plateau since before thanksgiving and I’m frustrated! November was kind of a flop for me as I travel two weeks and had a hard time staying on top of exercise and staying within my calorie goal. I ended up gaining 2 pounds back. I’m not back down the 2 pounds but I’d really like to make some significant progress in January.

    Hello!

    I am back here on MFP logging my food and trying to get back to when I was exercising regularly. I just stopped everything during the spring/summer and gained back some of the weight I lost from my big gain in the past few years. Here's to being accountable! I'm a little scared to weigh in on January 2nd since we're having our big family Christmas dinner on Sunday the 1st.

    First challenge I have done on MFP....

    Looking to lose 25 lbs. ultimately. Goal to lose 8lbs in the month of January (2 lbs. per week). Good luck to everyone one their fitness journey!

    I have done other challenges with the 5% challenges but I have gained back so much weight that I lost at the first of the year that I just want it gone like I gained it. I was on Optavia and stopped it cause of cost and I just could not eat no carbs anymore, I wanted fruit back in my diet. So I had to learn to eat regular foods again and putting carbs back in my diet really through me back on the gravy train! Every day I have to get back on the train just not the gravy one.

    I'm back at it! I took a few years off since COVID and I want to get back to counting calories and eating in moderation. I have been going up and down the same 10 pounds during the pandemic, so I am glad I didn't overdo it and gain all my 45 pounds lost in 2019. I am very thankful to these Challenge groups before to help me attain my first 45 pounds :smile: I weigh in on Friday mornings, so I am updating the dates.

    January Goal Weight: 184.0 lbs (currently around 186.0 lbs)
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 155 lbs

    all I have for accountability is myself, so hoping this helps me. I've lost weight twice now. The first time was due to health issues and calorie counting. That was 6 years ago, and I got down to 124. Now I have lost 10 lbs on my own and have been stuck for like 8 months. Hope this helps!
