This week I struggled with the scale which was super frustrating because I kept to my calorie goal, drank plenty of fluids, and increased my activity by adding in yoga, biking, and cardio! I figured it would be a bit before I plateaued since I only started this journey in December but apparently not. Up until today's weigh in I had stayed at or gained since my previous week but then today I finally saw the scale move in the right direction! (Just in time lol).
One thing I did differently this time to keep myself from being to down on myself was to measure my waist and hips, because I noticed my clothes were beginning to fit differently. I was surprised to find I had lost 1.5 inches to my waist and 0.5 inches to my hips since last month! It reminded me that there is a lot more to staying on track than just weight loss so for those of you who are also struggling this week try and find a different perspective to stay motivated!

January 8: 73.2. This is amazing. I am already feeling so much better. I am so proud of myself to sticking to my goals, even if just for a week. In the past, I wouldn't have even made it this far, I would have found a reason to eat badly and then just thrown in the towel and given up until the next time I felt so bad about myself that I came back to MFP to try and "fix" myself. This time is different though. This time the goal isn't to lose weight exactly, but to get my health under control and try to ensure I live a nice long life so I can be there for all of the big milestones in my kids lives.

Restarted Keto on the New Year. A BIG whoosh always happens when I first initiate clean Keto. Iβm fully locked into ketosis after only a week. If I could just maintain all of the weight Iβve lost the first week of January every year I would be well below my dream goal weight. So, hereβs to 2023, letβs get the weight off and keep it off!
Non-Scale Victory (NSV). My brain fog has lifted since I started eating keto clean.
