I have lost focus and it doesn't take much to see the results of that on the scale. Frankly I am shocked it is not more.
I am drinking more water, adding limes or cucumbers or something to make it more fun. Also discovered the Fitness Marshall on youtube. He does fun dance workouts. He's like the modern Richard Simmons. Absolutely hilarious.
I'll get back on track. I need to not only for vanity sake, but for my cholesterol, aching hip etc.8 -
Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great week! I am revising my goal because I am seeing my weight bounce between 133 and 134 so much. By the end of the month, I’d like to see an end to this plateau. I am going to add an additional walking session to my week and log my meals more consistently. Have a nice weekend!

Elliptical Interval setting today, 150 minutes for 9.92 miles. Up a bit in weight from yesterday. Made a ham last night for dinner and had again tonight and will probably be a few more dinners. Least it's just water weight.6

My name is Mary, 65 from Pennsylvania. I'm a RN and work long days.
Been MIA for a few months but still logging in everyday since I started MFP 5/14/21.
Unfortunately lost my mojo and gained a lot back but not all Thank God! Need to get back on track and focused. I bought a NEW to me, gently used, Commercial PreCor EFX 835 Elliptical. It was delivered the beginning of November, as others here know I wore my previous 10+ year old one out from my extensive workouts. Stopped using it mid November to get my Christmas shopping done earlier than my norm. I was planning to start back up a week ago but had a GI bug and very weak. I restarted today but very slow at 45 minutes and 3 miles compared to my 3 hour historical workout sessions. I will MAYBE workup to it again.
Heaviest weight 255 lbs, twice. :-(
9/14/20-255 lbs
5/14/21-232.2 lbs MFP start date.
4/6/22- 147.6 lbs (107.4 lbs lost) I did NOT have a surgery. Did Keto.
8/1/22- 167.2 lbs
12/1/22-198 lbs
1/1/23- 213.4 lbs
1/2/23- 213.4 lbs
1/3/23- 207.4 lbs
1/4/23- 205.8 lbs
1/5/23- 205.8 lbs
1/6/23- 201.4 lbs
1/7/23- 202.4 lbs
1/8/23- 204.4 lbs elliptical 45 minutes Interval setting
1/9/23- 204.4 lbs elliptical 46 minutes Interval setting
1/10/23-201.6 lbs elliptical 47 minutes Interval setting
1/11/23-203.6 lbs Not sure why the uptick. I stayed on track yesterday with my carbs/calories. I worked today. For new people I don't workout on work days. I'm a RN and work long days. That's why I used to do long elliptical sessions on my days off. To makeup for my work days. I work 4 days/week, 10+ hours.
1/12/23-203.8 lbs work day
1/13/23-204.6 lbs work day
1/14/23-205.4 lbs on call today, My Elliptical 120 minutes, Interval setting straight through this AM!!! 8.5 miles. Getting back up to my long sessions. Maybe I wasn't out of Cardiovascular endurance, as I thought. The previous sessions I wore a short sleeve shirt instead of a tank top as I did today again. (It's chilly in my basement.) Even though I had a fan on, maybe I just got to warm, which wore me down.
1/15/23-202.4 lbs My official weigh in day, My Elliptical, Interval setting, 120 minutes straight through again this AM, 8.1 miles.
1/19/23-199.4 lbs!!!! Finally Onederland again! 14 lbs down since 1/1/23. Off today. Did Elliptical Interval setting, 150 minutes for 9.7 miles. Getting my motivation back! Making a ham tonight so next few days will probably not be good. At least it will just be water weight from the sodium.
1/20/23-200.2 lbs off today Elliptical 150 minutes on Interval setting, 9.82 miles
1/21/23-203.4 lbs work day
1/22/23-200.2 lbs Off today Elliptical Interval setting 150 minutes for 10.05 miles Hopefully a whoosh after the ham is used up!

01/23-198.2-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- My homemade soup eaten two days in a row really hurt the bottom line. I actually find that quite surprising. Today, the rest goes in the freezer in smaller portions for some other time when I need a quick dinner. Smaller portions are in order perhaps? I travel this week on Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri of this week. That affects my ability to take my water pill so that is not going to help either. It’s going to be a tough week but I got this! Staying positive…..

Just checking in to see how it's going for everyone!?
Oh and Thanks as well, for the input & supportive words from a couple of you.
I'm not gonna give up:)
Hope to join in on the next Challenge for February 1 to April 30 if @RubyRed427 is still going to start us off again.

Yesterday had some friend food. Repenting it now. Overall on track.6

I must remember that portion control is KEY for me. In December my husband and I were splitting entrees every single time we went out. Lately we have been having our own and the results have shown up on my scale and my tight pants. When I really think about it, half is more than enough. Really, after 4 bites of anything you are no longer hungry. That needs to be my goal, not stuffed full.7

Yes, I am going to start a new challenge February 1st. Now, if only, I can get my world together and get healthy.
When I don't exercise, my body feels so old. I have to focus on that first- exercise regularly.
I also have to get my stress management going. Stress in my job is constant and I feel always at top anxiety at work. Maybe meds could help me to calm down.
Food reflection: Carbs just don't work for me. Whenever I can, I skip the bread or the bun. But I have to start logging.
Ok- done with my reflections and confessions.
So proud of you who weigh and post!6 -

Great idea- I recently told my husband that you and your hubby split meals and he loved the idea. Saves money and calories.6 -

Hmmm, can I have a do-over? 🤔9 -
It's a little late into this chunk of time but I don't want to wait until the next one starts in February so jumping in now.
I am at 139 pounds right now and while I try not to be focused on a number, I know if I lose 10 pounds, I will feel more satisfied with how I look so I need to regroup and refocus and recommit to tracking since I already have workouts nailed.
The thing is, I was 127 pounds a year ago and I beat myself up constantly. It wasn't good enough. Maybe I needed to regain a bit of weight to have an appreciation for how hard I had worked and how good I looked and felt?
I got off prozac after being on it for several months to help with perimenopause related PMDD but it seemed to be making me eat differently thus weigh more.
Tricks I want to implement:
1) Eating more slowly-I eat like I am in a race and I know that affects my hunger cues and my digestion and nutrient absorption
2) Drinking water or tea or seltzer when I think I am hungry to distract myself from hunger
3) Getting more steps in during my workday--I have a standing desk that helps but I need to get out of my office more
4) Patience-patience-patience
5) Positive self talk versus self deprecating
6) Staying connected on here
7) Managing the stress between my son (almost 12! preteen!) and my husband--that is a struggle!!!!
THANK YOU to all who are connected on here!8 -

Feb-May Challenge: -5lbs
May-July Challenge: -2.8lbs
July-Oct Challenge:-2.2 lbs
11/29 124.8 (+4.2 lbs) Yikes!
12/6 123 (-1.8 lbs)
1/3 128.1 (+5.1 lbs)
1/10 127.2 (-0.9 lbs)
1/18 128.7 (+1.5 lbs)
1/24 127.7 (-1.0 lbs)
Pleased to see the scale go down a little (although not as much as I was expecting). My big win today was I went to the gym although it was cold, dreary and rainy. I really just wanted to stay home and putter about in a nice comfy flannel but I went and worked out for 2 hours. I had so much more energy and felt so much better about myself afterwards. Sometimes getting there is the hardest part.9
