    My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

    01/01-199.2-(Trend Weight: 199.2)-


    01/08-200.2-(Trend Weight: 199.3)- Today finds me eating the last 3rd of the Chinese food. Late post due to DGS not feeling well as I babysat today. 29 flights of stairs for me taking care of him! I will be traveling on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday (to my DB’s 60th birthday party, this one is an overnight trip) and Sunday. This will not likely be a good week.


    01/15-NO SCALE-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Arrived back home from the overnight travel about 9:00 PM. Party was very well attended and a lot of fun. Too much food. I skipped much of it but what I ate didn’t exactly have zero calories or carbs. Travel again tomorrow morning for rehab. I’m going to try to get back home quickly. Ice storm starting tomorrow evening. I’ve been doing pretty good on the diet front (until the travel and party). Home now and back in the saddle again.

    I lost 45 pounds in 2022 and would like to lose at the very least 45 more in 2023. I have some scary medical procedures coming up in January and have no idea how they will affect my weight!

    I weigh in every day and calculate weekly averages.

    Week 0 (op to January 8th): 96.8 kg / 213.4 lbs
    Week 1 (January 15th): 95.7/ 211 lbs (lost this week: 1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs; lost in total: 1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs)
    Week 2 (January 15th): 95.6/ 210.8 lbs (lost this week: 0.1 kg / 0.2 lbs; lost in total: 1.2 kg / 2.6 lbs)
    Target: lose 12 lbs / 12 weeks
    After first week with a loss of 2.4 lbs, now a week of only 0.2 lbs. Still going down though, and average is still > 1 lbs / week :)
    And did a lot of cycling, so in part I am building up muscle too!
