Actually I do something very similar. I think a 10 page a day goal is excellent

That first one is so good.

Eta: even though there’s some trigger warning worthy *kitten* in all of her books

I prefer books I can hold, but rented this from the elibrary. I kind of wish I hadn’t started watching the new tv series based on the books before starting though, because the books are usually always WAY better. It’ll be interesting to see the liberties taken.

I didn’t even know there was a TV series! I assume they’re going to leave out the incest and pedophilia and I’d be OK with that 😂

Big book fan here! I'm doing my PhD in English so I pretty much get to read all day, which is great. I'm reading four books at the moment:

Rushing to Paradise by JG Ballard
The Mushroom at the End of the World by Anna Tsing
The Hollow Place by T. Kingfisher
    Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer

(Can you tell I like spooky nature things?)

Brain Candy, however...... waaaay better than I thought it might be.
    It's a burner and a page-turner, and I believe it's on it's way to becoming a film.

Huge Peter James fan. Currently halfway through Dead Tomorrow. Not a fan of the Grace TV series though.

One of my favorite things is to wander around the library & pull out a book I’ve heard nothing about

    I just finished Thistlefoot
    by GennaRose Nethercott

A good fast read, strange story and didn't end the way I imagined it would but all in all well written and kept me entertained.
