I had lost eight pounds before the holidays and I was on a nice downward trend and then those darn Christmas cookies got me. (okay, so did the parties, wine, and general overindulgence of the holidays!)
I am focusing on dropping some weight for more than just cosmetics as I injured my knee last fall and it recovered nicely. I was having zero pain until I put this weight back on and that is concerning me greatly. Therefore my current motivation is pain free in 2023!7 -
Too late to update my post so here's accountability:
I ended up hopping on work a half hour earlier than normal after my bodyweight workout. I worked from 630-730 when it got light out. Because BF didn't take Harley (he went while still dark out with a headlamp), I didn't take either pup on my run. I think this is the method I will need to maintain for my run days. Since my runs are about 30 minutes and I am typically done with bodyweight by 630, it's a perfect one-for-one swap. I could also start work at 7, work until sunrise (about 730), run, and hop back on at 8 and work until 430pm (vs my normal 4pm) instead. Especially days I'm not cooking or needing to run errands in the evenings. With sunlight much later, I'm only restricted on taking pups for a walk by my bedtime wind down routine.
Also forgot in my post that I skipped dinner due to a late lunch that was super filling. Had a small protein bar snack to hold off any overnight hunger pangs. Thinking I'll make chicken tikka masala tonight for dinner. Leftover chicken drumsticks for lunch and will find a veg (I have salad making stuff). Should be good to go!

3/13-168-So glad to be “back on the wagon”; it’s Monday, a new round and the sun is shining! Had another crab feed this weekend and that came with pasta and everything else. Went to a wonderful Japanese restaurant yesterday for a friend’s birthday, super good food but lots of carbs. Board meeting this morning and then a walk in the sunshine and hopefully hop on the horse.6 -
got care free in maintenance and the scale went up one lb at a time. Now I’m turning it around one lb at a time.

3/13- 186.6 Surprise! TOM arrived suddenly this morning a week early. In hindsight, yesterday’s snack attacks make sense. I grazed all day- a piece of cheese, a handful of nuts, bowl of cereal, yogurt and berries- pause and repeat.
This evening is going to be a calorie bomb of supper out with my parents. Appetizers, drinks, bread basket and dessert please!!!!
Lol it’s a fantastic restaurant and I’m going to enjoy it.8 -

GIVE ME 10 DAYS – ROUND 217
Round 217
March 13 - 22, 2023
61 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
Goal for round 217. Would like to make it down to 135 (1 pound) for this round. DD, DGS and SIL are coming to stay with us in the Key on March 25. Last year when they came, I was between 134 and 135. Would like to return to that number, then finish my job of trimming weight after they leave.
History:
Harry and Han are our cats, who travel with us. Have two “kids”, who are very much adults, and a DGS. We have three parents, 88(father), 86(mother), 84(MIL) still with us, and I have logically been needing to help them more as they age. I got my act in gear during COVID, somewhat inspired by NOT becoming my parents. I lost 30 lbs and was exercising daily. Unfortunately, I am an “all in or not” person. Selling family home distractions, plus medical incident with my father and all their new needs, became an excuse. A year and a half later, I gained 25 lbs and lost all my athletic improvements. I need to figure out balance and how to make health be a daily priority for life!

3/13 – 135.4 Nice surprise, but overall theory shot. Woke up late, 7.04. We meet for group walks at 7 am. Oops. I usually wake up without an alarm, like yesterday. BUT I managed to instead run to the grocery store and buy water (they were out yesterday) as they were loading the shelves. We are having a “boil water” precaution due to Florida Keys water main breaking twice in three days.

Hi All - Robyn yo-yo here! I'm in for another round. I lost around four pounds during round 215 only to gain it back during 216, so I'm a bit frustrated with myself but not giving up. My goal is to stop fooling around and to lose 10-14 pounds over the next 6 rounds (by May).
Day/Weight/Comment

3/13 👍👍This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE. I'm copying this phrase to my post this round because I too need to reframe. My original "why" is the same as today. Most of my health problems were attributed to my weight, diet, and lifestyle factors that I learned how to control. So, I'm now at a healthy normal weight, but the weight itself was only one part of it. I can't throw out the diet and lifestyle that got me here and got me feeling better even if everyone around me thinks it's too restrictive and too strict. I know how I feel and how things make me feel. Eating and drinking things just to fit in makes for a great time in the short term but I pay for it for days afterward. I have to eat well for my body every day if I want to feel good every day. This round I'm going to cut back on caffeine and be very gentle with myself at maintenance calories. Eat well today and tomorrow morning I'll feel good. Okay. Let's do this again.

3/13 151.6 (trend 151.8) Had a poor night's sleep, OH chose to sleep in a different room after not speaking to me all day, he's so stubborn sometimes. Woke at 4am and knew I wasn't going to get back to sleep as I was fretting about an early appointment at the doctors for a cervical screening, yuck. So got up, weighed and made a coffee. Not sure I'm going to make it to the gym today as I'm really tired. My weight is really resisting my efforts, but I refuse to drop below 1200 calories or increase my exercise any further as I will make myself ill. Better just to keep doing what I'm doing, at least I'm lighter than I was at the start of the year and much fitter.
2hrs strength training, 1hr walking yesterday, and I forgot to have dinner, so under calories, oops. Craving carbs today, I need the energy. Round goal weight is set for basically the same weight I was at the start of last round, so should be doable. I am leaving for a week in Portugal on the last day of this round so I want to give this round my 100%... except not today!

@39flavours 1200 calories, 2 hours strength training and 1 hour walking. Have you considered whether you could be eating too little. When I worked as a WW receptionist, one of the most controversial pieces of advice I ever gave (an gave it for 12 years) was to eat more. I cannot tell you how often I heard good news from the member the following week. Something to think about.2 -

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.8 -

100-Day Weight Tracking as a Binge-Free & Sugar-Free Human
Bingeing is why I'm where I am now. I want to see the results with 100 days of no bingeing. I'm not talking about going over calories from overeating a little, I'm talking full-out bingeing. And that's not just on bad foods, even when I'm eating well, I'll binge. This will be extremely challenging but if I stick to it (and stay off sugar and simple carbs to stop cravings), there is no way I'm not going to see consistent weight loss during these 100 days (not to mention the health benefits)! I'll say right from the get-go, if I do slip, I will not punish myself, I will just move to the next day binge-free. However, my goal is NOT to binge.
I want to see what happens when I don't give up!100 Days: Binge-Free✔ / Sugar-Free✔

176.x stayed around another day - YAY!!. Another snow storm coming. Hopefully this is the last one. I love every season in Maine (even winter), but my Georgia roots kick in, even after 23 years in Maine, asking where are the flowers and leaves LOL. Because of covid and my illness/surgery last summer, and now my MIL's illness, it's been so long since I've been to Georgia, and I miss my family so much!! I'm a very fearful flyer. Even though I worked for Delta Air Lines for 30 years, and I still have free flight privileges, for years, I took Amtrak to Georgia because of my fear. I love trains but the trip was exhausting. I would leave about 4am to drive to NH, take CJ's bus to BOS, BOS to Penn Station, then overnight to ATL, arriving 30 hours later. Time to put my big girl panties on and fly!!

Oh my I feel this. I missed out nearly 3 years of visiting my family in Canada due to covid. I did get back last May but sadly wad for my daddy's funeral. I am not a good person to fly with. So I take lorazapam and I barely remember the 3 hour flight but remain awake. I return this May for a visit with momma and my son is here in Florida with me for 2 weeks. Love your driving plan. We do what we can....
@GirlOnTheRebound I am so sorry about your Dad's passing. My Mom passed away during covid also. I'll ask my doc about lorazapam - thanks for writing about that. You are so lucky to have your son there for 2 whole weeks! Actually, I think it was your post the other day that I laughed and could relate to where you said you were planning snuggles with your son BUT he didn't know about the snuggle agenda. LOL. My son lives in Atlanta and because of covid the last years and because of work, hasn't gotten to come up very much. Enjoy your time with your son!4 -

Something to think about.
This! This right here is truer then true. I am still learning to eat not just more but more of the good stuff. Thank you for your insight and sharing.6
