I weigh in every day and calculate weekly averages. Target: lose 12 lbs / 12 weeks.
    • Week 0 (up to January 8th): 96.8 kg / 213.4 lbs
    • Week 7 (February 26th): 95.2 k / 209.9 lbs
    • Week 8 (March 5th): 95.5 kg / 210.5
    • Total loss: 2.9 lbs / 8 weeks
Not the result I hoped for this week and not sure what is going on that I did not lose any weight. Keeping to my meal plan quite well (although cut myself some slack here and there). And got in a lot of excecise this week: over 60 miles of cycling. Maybe it is all muscel build-up :-)

My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

This week was the first increase I have recorded since the challenge started. I had a blog blowout at a celebration yesterday and it felt good to relax. I am toying with the idea of a diet break. I think eating at maintenance for a week or so could be good for me overall.

Yes, going down again! Target is still to lose 12 lbs, but I'll take a little longer than 12 weeks. Nest stop: lose 1.6 lbs more so I (finally) hit the 50% mark. Going to do a lot more PA these weeks!

03/05-194.0-(Trend Weight: 193.2)-Clearly it has not been a good week after all. I can do better.

03/12-189.0-(Trend Weight: 191.9)- It’s been an excellent week for me overall. I had only one major day of travel and that really helped. Using my own kitchen, and not eating at the restaurants really helps keep me in much better control. I am still watching both my calories AND my carbs which is also really helping with my blood glucose levels. I needed that more than anything and I’m pleased to say my numbers are greatly improved. My mini-goal (which I challenged myself on Dec 10th) was to be down 10 pounds by Easter (April 9th). That would have me landing on 188.4 . I’m almost there! I rarely ever reach my goals though I make them reasonable. Come on Donna, You Can Do This! I don’t think I will reach the goal for this challenge. I always set it for a 5 pound loss per month and a total of 15 pounds for the challenge. I need to be at 186.6 for that. But I’m not going to give up trying. It’s a star that I don’t mind reaching for!

@refactored I am so glad you stuck with us and decided to complete the challenge. You are losing again in March and your are down over 12 pounds since the start of this challenge round. Fantastic progress! No, we are not always perfect and that is okay. It's the big picture, right? Congratulations on your wonderful progress!

03/19-188.2-(Trend Weight: 190.4)- My progress is a bit slowed this week because I took advantage of a travel day and made it a “shake it up” day with extra calories and carbs. I needed to trick up my metabolism after some early week stalling for several days in a row. I am starting to see the downward movement on the scale again and am happy with it. My trend weight has really came down since last week so I’m pleased as punch with that. We had 3 in. of snow yesterday and a high of 18 degrees. This week, however, some temps in the 40’s is supposed to peak out. Welcome to Michigan.

@deepwoodslady Thank you for the encouragement. I admire how you have taken control of your blood sugars given that terrible advice from the dietician. You have come so far with your weight-loss this challenge. Keep it up. You've got this!

@p1xyn1xy I am now convinced a diet break up is needed every now and again. So many people seemed to have benefited from it. Well done on staying in control and upping your calories when you noticed it was getting too low.

I had a 5 day stall in my weight loss this week then boom it suddenly dropped. I admit I was close to giving up but I was so pleased I stuck with it. I need to not panic just because I stall for a few days.

I weigh in every day and calculate weekly averages. Target: lose 12 lbs / 12 weeks.

    Week 0 (up to January 8th): 96.8 kg / 213.4 lbs
    Week 9 (March 12th): 94.9 kg / 209.2 lbs
    Week 10 (March 19th): 94.8 kg / 209.0 lbs
    Total loss: 4.4 lbs / 10 weeks

At least still going down, but not as fast as I had hoped. Just sticking to the plan now.

@samskiB, nice work in the last month! Don't let this one week get you off your target!
@Kiyomoo, did you eat a lot of salt the day you sky-rocketed? I have that when I eat sushi with tons of soy-sauce. The good news: you get rid of it easily, just drink a lot of water!

I've been eating a lot of salt lately, so perhaps! I'm honestly shocked that my weight keeps going down despite how much fast food I've been eating the past month. O:

My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

03/26-187.8-(Trend Weight: 189.3)- I’m not happy about an overnight GAIN of 0.6 for ABSOLUTELY no reason. I went to bed under calorie, under carb but satisfied. I’ll just have to keep moving forward and trust my body and the process. Well, we had another snow storm yesterday which yielded another 10 inches of snow! Very pretty but enough already! It’s been a pretty good week overall for me with only one day of bingeing. Today I travel for my DGS’s 4th birthday party. I’ll try to be mindful but, hey, no promises! This is going to be a tough week with my travel being on Sun, Mon, Tue, and Thur. Restaurants, restaurants, restaurants and lots of sitting. I’ll hope to maintain my weight even if I can’t achieve losses this week. Only a few more days until the end of the challenge. I’ll do my best!

    Hi all.

So the past few months my depression took over... but I'm lucky to have met some lovely friends online who have helped me. I've started using my fitbit again and I've made my own Facebook page and YouTube channel of me exercising (in virtual reality) by playing beat saber. It's a great workout and there's songs which are called 'fitbeat' which is for exercising too. I'm loving playing beat saber again and I'm very sore from hours of beat saber 😁 Please follow my journey below. Get fit with me! Thank you ❤️
