My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.
04/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I woke up today in quite a depressed state. I am bothered that my normal routine has been so very disrupted. I realized I have not even gotten dressed since Thur morn when I had to travel. I am still bloated and am quite sure I have put on a few pounds while going through all of this medical drama. Even with the medication change, my bp was down way too low again yesterday and I couldn’t get any fitness in because of it. Food is not the answer and does not solve the problems! I ate things I shouldn’t have mixed in with good pre-planned choices but the in-betweens threw me out of plan. I am a mess. I will work on myself today though it is babysitting day again. That will not leave much time for me but I’ll do my best. Tomorrow (Sunday) is a rare free day this week. No babysitting and no drs appointments. Tomorrow I can really focus. I’ll be back to travel on Monday. In the meantime, I am logging my food and going to youtube to find some positive affirmations that I can listen to (and repeat). I really need them today.

No good deed goes unpunished, apparently, because now it's even more of a mess than I originally thought! In the winter challenge I had posted a link to the new thread before @jedaschultz created the new one. In other challenge threads I have participated in there's no one dedicated host, just whoever gets around to it first starts the next one. My sincere intention was to be helpful and I knew jeda is going through a lot right now. A lot of people have posted on that one already. I did ask the moderators right after that reply to combine the threads but have not heard back from them yet.
Again, my intention was not to step on anyone's toes or take anyone's job. I'm very, very sorry for the confusion.3 -

Hello! I'm Leslie, and today is my first day on MFP! I was on it years ago and lost quite a bit of weight, but over time gave in to stress-eating and no exercise, so am at my highest weight ever and am ready to get back to "me" again. I'm 63, 5'4", and weigh 225.

04/04-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Oh my Goodness, I wanted to weigh so badly today! But then, why would I weight the day after travel when the restaurant food usually adds 2-3 extra pounds to the scale? So I am drinking lots of water to offset the high sodium meal, hoping for a TMI to rid myself of the evidence and going to try to close all my fitbit circles today while carefully watching the bp. Fasting glucose this morning was pretty good so that is a good sign of the times I hope. Enjoy your day everyone!

04/04-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- Oh my Goodness, I wanted to weigh so badly today! But then, why would I weight the day after travel when the restaurant food usually adds 2-3 extra pounds to the scale? So I am drinking lots of water to offset the high sodium meal, hoping for a TMI to rid myself of the evidence and going to try to close all my fitbit circles today while carefully watching the bp. Fasting glucose this morning was pretty good so that is a good sign of the times I hope. Enjoy your day everyone!
04/05-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- Bad Rain storm across Michigan today. Some areas (like mine) will also see a wintery mix of rain & snow, large hail, and in some areas the possibility of tornados. So it’s gloomy but active. Had thunder and lightning all night which I hate since I am so terrified of lightning because my house was struck when I was a child. I pray we don’t lose power because then there is no water when you have a well. On the diet front: Yesterday was a very good day. I cooked some new meals which was within plan and exciting. I did a little mild dancing even though I’ve been told not to exercise quite yet. Today my blood pressure is down too low again. It seems to be going back & forth. I travel tomorrow for cardiac rehab (education only at this point, no exercise because of bp) and it is located in the same town as the Heart Failure Clinic so Dr. says to bring in bp machine so they can download my recent readings. They will probably call later to direct me. Sticking to my guns today. I’ve already pre-logged my meals. I can feel that my clothes are a bit tighter mainly due to lack of burning those calories I’m eating. My daily calorie expenditure overall has been in the 1800 range. THAT gets me nowhere!
