April was horrible and May has not went as well as I had hoped. I’m disappointed. I travel today for my 4 month dental cleanings for myself and son. We’ll have a late restaurant lunch and do some shopping while out of town. I’ll try to choose carefully. Tomorrow is an art gallery and concert at the high school my grandchildren attend. I’ll be spending the evening with them. So many foodie things this week!

Family history of heart problems including my younger siblings. I have white coat syndrome so primary care physician said to take blood pressure readings 3 times in the am once a week for 3 months. This will give me an accurate average and if I need to increase my prescription. Thanks for asking.5 -

I think I finally figured out how to reply to a specific post - I tried once or twice before but messed it up. I also hope that everything with your blood pressure works out and wanted to thank you for replying to a post of mine a while ago. I'm 58 and this year I have really noticed that my weight gain has affected my health with higher blood sugars and arthritic pain. I am hoping that losing a few pounds will make a difference. I've been slowing a bit down, as I felt really tired. So despite eating at almost maintenance calories, I still lost a little bit, which is really good. I'll be on holiday the coming time, so I won't check in next week. No logging, but extremely active, I don't expect any gains except maybe some water weight from the flights.
May 1: ON HOLIDAY !!
May 8: sick while on holiday - urgh!
May 15: 73 - So I've gained about 1 kg since before the holidays. I started to get sick halfway through (flu, covid, who knows), which means a lot less activities and then getting home I've been sick in bed for three more days. Activity is below zero as I am still very tired. Not feeling sick enough to stop eating though... But I know that weight loss happens in the kitchen and fitness happens at the gym, thus I have no excuse for not eating right.
May 22: 72,7 - I've been hovering around this weight for 2 months now and I'm getting really comfy around it. Which is good as I feel really good in my skin right now. My stamina is great and I feel in great shape. The big risk is that I will get complacent and that 72,7 will become 73,5 in no time, and then 74... I've been here before and my goal the coming weeks / months is to nip that in the bud and still lose a bit in order to keep my mindset in the right direction.

Well, I didn't lose, but I didn't gain either, so that's something! My clothes are fitting better, so I think I have been body recomping, as I have been weight training for a few months. I have upped my steps and included a morning walk into my routine, but have also been eating more calories, so it's giving me a good idea of what it's going to take to stay at maintenance. I really want to lose 10 more pounds, but I'm finding it hard to stay disciplined in the evenings.

April 10: 202.4 Each week is tough right now but at least the weight is going in the right direction. One month yesterday that DH passed away. Wasn’t quite the Easter I was wanting this year but my family an I made the best of it that we could.
April 17: 201 I’m very happy with this loss. There is still so much adjusting going on. I'm hoping to get more accomplished this week, meanwhile Mother Nature has done some hail damage to my house and need to get that taken care of.

05/23-197.0-(Trend Weight: 195.5)- I’ve really put some thought into this and decided it is a cross between laziness and depression. I just don’t feel like meal planning or cooking. I have a grab ‘n go mentality right now. When my depression sets in I really have a hard time following through with anything. No focus. Feet dragging the ground. A bit listless. I don’t have the energy to exercise, or plan, or research or do any of those things I normally do. I’ve really got to pull this together.

So after the TOM came the whoosh. The whoosh would have been bigger if i had eaten as i should all along. But still it is a great progress. I have to reasons to slip up in June. But I will try to isolate it to those two days. And not fall into the trap of thinking. Well i will overeat tomorrow so today doesn't really matter. And I have leftovers from yesterday I should eat them. I tend to do that.
This week I have been good. Either taken a hike or a turn on the elliptical everyday.
For me weight loss is excersize driven. If i don't excersize I can eat very little if I want to lose weight. If i excersize i want less food.
I see some argue that diet it kg's excersize is gram but in my experience diet is kg excersize is cm.
