Hi all!
I have gained back a bunch of weight over the past year and keep trying to lose it and falling off the bandwagon almost immediately. I used to think of myself as someone who was really disciplined and would just do what I set my mind to, butโฆ apparently as I get older, that is becoming less true (good for mental health, I think, not awesome for my waistline). My real goal for May is to just log consistently all month and let the chips fall where they may (hopefully not potato chips all into my mouth).

I'm looking forward to a place of accountability to weigh in, report and be mutually supportive. I started back on intermittent fasting last month (16:8, after most of the winter off) and began lower-carb eating and tracking three days ago. It's always an excess of carbs that do me in, alas! So right now my body is switching to this lower-carb mode and sometimes she isn't happy. But I assure her that she's going to feel much better in a few days!

* Coming back after illness/surgery. I've had my ups and downs over the 8 years-- mostly struggled through injuries that sidelined me for months, gained weight (never this much though), and came back with a vengeance. Hi all! need the extra motivation. lost and gained the same 20-25 lbs. the last 10 years. I lift and take peloton bike classes. More concerned about my waist measurement than the actual scale since I am in my late 40s and my visceral fat is a concern.

Back for my :rd go around! I saw a loss each and every time and get closer and closer to that target weight and I set a significant goal for myself. I participate in as many challenges as I can do I am bombarded with accountability until it basically hems me up and I have no choice, but to enjoy complying.
