Hi all! need the extra motivation. lost and gained the same 20-25 lbs. the last 10 years. I lift and take peloton bike classes. More concerned about my waist measurement than the actual scale since I am in my late 40s and my visceral fat is a concern.

I'll be gone in Europe for most of mid-May, so I'll miss May 8 and 15. I'm having a lot of mental illness problems, and I'm trying to utilize eating and exercise as a form of control. Hoping that somehow trying to control my habits and weight will help.7 -

Greetings to everyone taking on this challenge! Now on to the hard part😥
Hi body, it’s me again. They say if you never give up, you haven’t failed. Well… guess that doesn’t exactly feel true right now. Hoping that doing this challenge with the support of those who are also on this journey will get me motivated to start and (actually) keep going. I was so close to my goal, only 5 pounds away. Aaaannnddd, YEP I just quit! What the H. is wrong with me? So, Hi body, it’s me again; let’s do this.
HW that I wish to acknowledge: 186 lbs. I’m 100% sure it was much higher.
May Start Weight: 174.6 lbs.
May Goal Weight: 170.0 lbs.
Ultimate Goal Weight: 150 lbs. or let’s be honest, less than my sister and some of my friends, who always deemed me as the BIG one.
May 1: 174.6 lbs. I feel trapped inside this walking frame. Nothing feels right. Not a great way to start,
but perhaps this can be my Y; at least for now.

Hello 🙋♀️
My usual place is Fitbit, but their food logging isn't top notch 😀.
I lost 30 lbs over 18 mos ... then I managed to gain it all back in about 3 mos 😖.
Starting again ... using my app time to food log instead of participate in challenges (Fitbit dumped their challenges about 6 weeks ago).
Heres to beginning again 😀

Hi All!
I've had my MFP account since 2012 but only used it sporadically until January 2022 when I knew I needed to make a lifestyle change in order to improve my mental and physical health. At that time I weighed 230 lbs at 5'3” tall. As of my last weigh in on 4/29 I had lost 70.4 lbs. My final goal is somewhere in the neighborhood of 140.
Looking forward to participating in this challenge for the accountability and motivation. Hoping we can support one another along the way.

My first small goal is to reach 220 lbs. I have a set goal to lose 7-10 lbs. a month!
Update 5/2/23: Although I put on weight since my last weigh in, I had a NSV yesterday! I set up my home gym in my basement over the weekend and worked out for the first time in it yesterday! I was dreading working out, but I've had lots of aspirations to start weightlifting. I felt so good after my workout yesterday!10 -
I only posted once in April because I was away almost all month. I left on 30 March headed for Arizona then spent 23 days rafting and then got home on 26 April. Even though a Grand Canyon raft trip includes lots of activity every day, I managed to add some mass because there was very good food and too much of it. It's OK. I've been here before. Technically I'm still in my maintenance range, but I'm pretty much at the top.
I will attempt to get back to the middle of that range in May and then get back to maintaining there. I'll still claim several months in maintenance even with the weight increase because my average weight hasn't quite gone out of that range as far as I can tell.
@mtaratoot It's wonderful that enjoyed so much activity and exercise while having a nice time. So glad you enjoyed yourself! You've done wonderfully!0 -
My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall.
Start Weight (from April 30th, 2023 ): 192.6
Goal Weight: 187.6 (5 pound loss)
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.
05/01-193.0-(Trend Weight: 192.2)- Not a good way to start. I’ve got to turn this boat around before I sail right off the deep end. If I don’t, this boat is sunk!
05/07-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)- My 63rd birthday this week (on the 10th). The gift of a good productive month would be wonderful to give myself!

Hi Donna 🙋♀️
First, big congrats in your progress-to-date!! Well done, you! 🥳
Next ... May I ask where you find trend weight? And if your trend weight is lower than your weigh-in weight, why is it not a good way to start?
Lastly, Happy Birthday in advance !!! 🎉💐👑
Cheers!

Hey Donna!
Your post is very inspiring. I noticed that our goals are very similar in terms of final weight goals and starting weight! It's so great to see that you've worked so hard and it's paying off! Gives me hope that I will also see the results I want too as well. I might even start using the cross-off that you use! Love it and keep up the amazing work!2 -
