Last year I lost about 30 pounds but gained it all back.

Hi, all!
I'm new to this challenge, and happy to have found it. Let's do this together!
I'm looking forward to more outdoor running and cycling this month now that spring has finally arrived in Minnesota, but I need to constantly remind myself that exercise can easily be trumped by bad choices in the kitchen.

When I stepped on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in and was very surprised to have lost 1.4 lbs. I didn't expect to lose that much since I had lost a full pound last week and lately it's been taking about a month for me to lose 2.5 lbs. In addition we went out for BBQ on Monday in rememberance of my late son's birthday, though I did manage to stay within my calories for the day.
Plugged my new weight into MFP this morning and it told me I'm 75% of the way to goal. Woo hoo!
Have a great week everyone!

Hello,
I'm new to this challenge but look forward to going through the month with everyone! I'm also in a 3 month challenge group but I'm needing an extra push for May as I've got my birthday coming at the beginning of June. I've set a goal to loose a little more than the typical loss I've been tracking every month (about 4.3 lbs) and want to loose 7 lbs this month for a Bday victory. I'm going to have to cut more calories and amp up my exercise a little more to reach this goal I've set....
I'm 58 yo, and 5'4"

My name is Paula Jones and I am going with the flow this month instead of stressing so much about this weight loss journey! It has gone so far as to cause a tiny bit of issues with my husband who doesnโt understand why I want to lose weight even though I repeatedly tell him. ๐ I am married with 3 amazing kids! Iโve been with my husband since September of 2000.
I used to be EXTREMELY fit since my time spent serving our country in the US Army. I am now an obese 100% service disabled veteran experiencing a variety of health related issues primarily resulting from my weight and I have finally reached a point where I canโt take it anymore so I am taking a firm stand. I WILL lose and am losing this weight since I started going at my goals hard Feb 9. I have seen favorable results so far with my current strategy which is a combination of Noom, GOLO, and Intermittent Fasting (IF) with revolutionary changes being made to how I eat, what I eat, and why I eat. I weigh myself every day and tape various locations of my body once a week to help hold myself accountable and establish a way to thoroughly measure my progress.
I have already started including physical exercise and that could be some type of cardio and strength training exercises at home or me and my oldest son going to the gym for some cardio or circuit training taking advantage of the equipment. Iโm ready to keep this train moving! Letโs do this AGAIN! HUAH!
Goals for May:
Workout cardio at least 3x/week (min 30 min) ๐ฆต๐พ๐ซ๐๐พโโ๏ธ
Strength training at least 5x/week
(min 60 min) ๐ฆพ๐๐พ
Reduce sugar intake to 6 g/day ๐ฆท๐ฉ๐พโ๐ณ
Maintain fiber intake of 30 g/day ๐ฉ
Continue to execute morning & evening routines โwhich includes journaling & >20 min/routine sessions. ๐๐พโโ๏ธ๐ง๐พโโ๏ธ
