Do you journal? That can be a huge help. My friend L found writing letters to her dead partner very helpful. You can also doodle how you feel. I remember, from what you have shared on here, that you had a hugely difficult childhood/adolescence. Try writing to your grandmother and telling her all about it. Get out your Cricut and express yourself. Make a mental map with it, like Machka 's mindmaps. It's always better out than in. Just write one word today. Just one.
A crisis like you are going through can be the gateway to a whole new understanding. It will come. Don't rush it. Rest. Rest. Rest. Your body knows best.
Very, very, best wishes.

Miles slept for 3 hrs this morning poor little guy..
When Tracy got home she was a wreck and almost in tears.. Mental illness runs in my ex husbands family,my ex mother in law was bi polar,Rich is bi polar and poor Carmine,is either Psychotic or Schizophrenic at this point she has been cutting herself and writting death threats on everyone.. so they need to get her into some type of place like Pronto.. pay a little at a time if you have to.. but for her life and yours it has to be done.
Oh dear, it was the 3rd choice ... the one I was hoping it wasn't.
Carmine is severely depressed.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/self-injury/symptoms-causes/syc-20350950
As someone said, the negative attention she is getting is better (to her) than no attention at all, with all the attention going to Miles.
I still think it would be good to get Miles into childcare so that attention can go to Carmine and so that Miles is in a better atmosphere.
But it's not up to me.

Good morning, all.
Flea: Shesh!!! Why waste your valuable headspace on someone who has no respect for you. You owe her nothing. People like her are never be satisfied no matter what you do. (I’ve a niece just like her, who we don’t go out of our way to contact.)
Allie: (((Hugs))) to you and your daughter’s family. I have no further advice but hope they can get the help they need.
DH let me sleep in this morning and has gone off to do the grocery shopping on his own. One must be grateful for small mercies 😝
🤗 🤗 🤗 to all, and 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 to those who need them.

Machka- I was thinking of something like your hobbies graphic arrangement.
I decided today to not write this morning, because I had a long list of things I wanted and needed to do, which was uppermost in my brain and bothering me. So, out I went to return an Amazon parcel at the post office, go to two different pharmacies, buy frozen dim sum from the Asian shop, visit the posh bakery for focaccia, the mini supermarket for milk and prawns, (and I bought salmon fillets) and then drag my trolley bag home. Knackering! But it's done.
We are thinking of the things we need for the cruise, and gathering toiletries and medicines together. I've bought anti-midge spray! DH is going on a couple of hikes, so he might need it. Plus we sre well loaded up with seasickness tablets now.
I wouldn't have written if I had been going up to London, so I feel OK about it. This afternoon, I'm going to varnish my geranium coaster and perhaps try another dancer.

Flea I’m sorry that you are having such difficulties with your niece. If you let your lawyer handle it they will look out for your best interests and they have to do things legally so your niece will just have to accept that and can’t blame you. You realize you don’t have to have a relationship with someone just because they are a relative! 💕
Allie sorry that you are having to go through this with your daughter and grandchildren. I’m sure that it’s extremely difficult especially since you can’t fix anything as grandma. All you can do is watch and pray that everything gets better. That’s probably why you feel responsible to take care of Miles. Praying for your family 💕
I’m so glad that we have each other on here to talk to about things that are going on in our lives that are stressful and out of our control. It seems like we have a lot of people here that really need support and guidance. I have been one of them of late. This is a great group to be a part of 💕

Just about got everything planted that is ready. . I actually got coleus seeds to germinate this year. They are still too small to plant. I tried last year with no luck.
DH eye surgery seems to have gone well. Taking him into the doctor today for a check.
Allie Carmine is crying out for help. I am praying the right help comes and everyone is open and does the hard work that needs to be done. In the mean time everyone needs to feel safe and if it means getting Carmine professional care it needs to be done. She is not safe to herself and others. If she is not willing to go willingly call 911 and tell them she is a danger to herself and others and why. It is Tracy who will need to do this for her daughter's and her safety and Miles. The sooner she gets help the more likely she will have a chance to get her condition manageable. It will only get worse if Tracy waits. This will not go away on its own.
It always amazes me that when someone sees someone having a heart attack they know they need to call 911. When someone is having a mental health crisis they seem to think with the right therapy everything will become normal. IT IS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY as in a heart attack is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY. Threatening others and herself cutting is a medical emergency.
Remember too Allie Tracy is in survival mode. She will need all the self care she can get!

Good morning!
There are pros and cons of living close to family. I believe I was closer to YD when they lived further away, yet am happy they are closer. I wish I lived closer to my brother and his family, but am thankful to have my mother further away. Pros and cons.....
Still behind on work, but watered and trimmed plants this morning. It will get done. Bed linens changed, laundry started. Reckon that is a good start!
I am so thankful for all of you! And yes, the support in all areas of our lives makes a difference in our eating and exercises.
Have a blessed day!

Yes Allie, it has to be done. Poor Carmine. It runs in our family too. Anne was cutting as a teenager and we had her in treatment during HS. She did really well and is thriving now. Carmine really needs professional help asap. I'm so sorry. Sending prayers.
Geez Flea, it's so terrible when money comes between family, but it always seems to happen that way. I'm sorry.
Beth, Shawn was Lacy's first husband and Kolten's dad, our SIL. They married on May 1st and he was killed in a horrific car accident on May 28th. Kolten was 5. They were together the whole time, but he wasn't sure he wanted to get married because of his childhood. Then when he was sure, this happened. Thankfully, he was smart enough to make sure all of his union paperwork was complete immediately so she and Kolten were well taken care of after his death. Had you asked me that three days ago, I would have been a blubbering mess. Today I can just tell you. smh... that's how it goes. Now he's one of my angels.

31. Find three reasons to be hopeful about the future. Surprised at how difficult this is, but my god daughter is doing a good job raising her kids. They are smart, funny and pleasant to be around… for awhile
Checking Friday’s Freddie receipt noticed no $10 discount for spending $40+ on P&G products, nor $1 off each for “buy 5 and save.” Disgusted I fired off a complaint using their contact form. To my surprise, delight (and a little shame), got an email today with a $20 credit to my loyalty card. It pays to double check, but it would have been better if I’d been kinder… ;{
Welcome @dcresider! Yes! Tomorrow evening Barbiecat will post the link to the June thread. Look forward to seeing you there.
Machka, Terri and Rita, thanks for the memes, I needed to see them today.
Heather, no doubt your first post-accident run was scary . . . but you did it anyway. Bravissima!

Beth maybe you just need a break for a few days. June’s fresh start is just around the corner.

Good morning ladies,
Flea - It's admirable the way you have handled the situation with your niece through the years. I couldn't be that understanding or nice about it. Your mom must have really liked her to include her as an heir- or perhaps they bought the house jointly? I am sorry she continues to be a ______. So glad you have a realtor and attorney to help you through this. Our wills were set up that the executor is to be reimbursed for out of pocket costs incurred from the sale of assets and preparing them for sale. Sending many hugs - extra tight and held extra long as our Barbara would say.
Barbara - glad Freddie's corrected their errors. I've been having problems with Safeway the past few weeks. Sometimes the coupons I click on aren't applied, their "store specials" that encourage the shopper to load up on items aren't put into the computer. I generally don't discover this until I'm at home and have the time to really look at the receipt when there's not a line behind me. Last week I spotted some errors when I was still at the self-checkout and the cashier made it good right then and there. And it seems about half the items I come into the store to buy are out of stock.
Katla - I was thrilled to hear you went for a walk with your DH! Hooray!! So glad he's able to be up and about again.
Mary - I agree, this is a wonderful group of ladies with wise advice and hugs when we need them. What a wealth of experience we get to draw from!
Landscapers and good-bye junk: The landscapers showed up yesterday and did a great job of raking, removing stumps, some pruning and best of all - throwing a huge mound of just plain junk that was sitting around in various buildings and tucked away under the trees on their truck. My "yard" budget is just about blown for the year, but it's worth it. To me, the yard and property looking decent is more relaxing than a vacation right now.
I asked the owner to give me a quote on assembling a larger chicken run in case Roger poops out. Roger assured me again last weekend he is willing to help. He was supposed to come over on Monday and didn't show. I think I'll email his wife Carol and tell her I'm going to start detaching the chainlink fence sections behind the Tuff shed that will be the new run to get a "head start."
That strategy always worked with DH. He couldn't stand it and would take over, lol. It might work with Roger. And if he has changed his mind, no biggie.
DH's drum dispersal - I remembered yesterday there's a local auction house and contacted them. They do estate and collection auctions, many online. Their rep is coming out to check DH's snare drums & accessories - stands, bass foot pedals for example - next Thursday the 8th. I checked out some of their current auctions - a lot of nick-nacks, an assortment cooking utensils (this must be from an estate sale), household goods and furniture of all types. They also do higher end collectibles and cars.
The best thing is, if they are willing to put these drums & accessories in an auction, that they come here and cart it all away to their warehouse. They clean everything and spiff it up and I don't have to lift a finger. I'm in the mood to have everything gone from here at once. No lookie-loos jerking me around on the price and sticking their noses in where they don't belong. We'll see. I haven't discarded the donate idea. The auction house wasn't giving specifics over the phone, so I don't know what they do with goods that don't sell. UPDATE - DH also had some guitars and a keyboard that need to be sold so I'll add them to the auction. I'm saving his favorite old Epiphone accoustic guitar in case I ever get the urge to play again (it's been 50 years since I've played. I'd probably see about getting nylon strings or whatever they are made from. I'm not patient enough to go through the torture to work up a callus from steel strings.)
It was 37 this morning, but seems to be warming up fast.
Anyhow, some extra cash to put toward new brakes for the Subaru would be nice.
Have a great Wednesday!

Lanette please please please make sure you put reserve amount on those items! I have to caution you about online auction sales groups. My husband and I brought all of our furnishings and collections over to the online auction group in our town. They boasted about how much money they made for this person and that person. Well, when we got back we got like 100 some odd dollars for what we considered at least $10,000 worth of belongings. I would’ve rather given them away. They weren’t concerned about me making money only about getting rid of my items and they ended up with more money than I did. If you are going to go with them, make sure you put a reserve price on it. Then if it doesn’t sell for that amount you get it back

Flea hugs! Family can be so frustrating!
I picture the stresses in my thoughts as boxes. Sometimes you have to take the stress out, maybe repack it better, or lesson some of it to fit properly. Sometimes we can get rid of the box completely when that specific stress is no longer there. But I always put them back, so I can freely walk around my thoughts, without tripping over these stress boxes. Like my youngest son has a frickin trunk. With stickers all over it, where he's been. I don't dwell on it, its pretty and adds character in my mind. (that's how I look at things anyways).

Ooh forgot to mention that I made my train reservation to go down to my sisters next month. Will be gone 2 weeks. It should be fun, but a lot of work. I stated to her when we chatted on the phone recently that we will pace this cleaning out the storage units, and not work until we're too sore to climb back into the truck by the end of the day! I also will help her around the homestead, but not so much that my hands are too sore! She had never Bern great at pacing herself and will weed from sun up to sundown! I am not a gardener! I told her when I need to I will periodically whine and sit down with a drink of something. 😂😁.
My trip home should be interesting because its an Amtrak bus from her train station to Portland, then a train to Seattle, then a bus to Mt Vernon Wa. It will be a day of adventure!
I told my sister I am not bringing lots of clothes and will be wearing hers, as we're kind of the same size shirt wise. I told her I will just stand in her dressing area in my undies and bra saying "pick something"! Lol! She's got 10 times the clothes I have.🙃

Mary - thank you! I'll go over all of that when he comes out. My goal isn't to make a lot of money since I was going to donate these items anyhow - if I can make a few bucks, all the better.
I sure do not want them back here if they don't sell and am hoping they have an arrangement with a charity for dispersal.
If they were expensive jewelry for example, that would be different and I sure would be looking at a reserve.
I looked up his guitars - they aren't worth that much. I might donate them depending on what the auction guy says. They are easily transportable for me and if a local charity can make some money from them, that would be fine.
It will be interesting to see their proposal, for sure. I'm about to venture down a new road.
DH talked about selling all of this stuff as he grew more frail, and he was always in favor of giving things to charities.
I think he'd be happy with my decisions.

did an hour of the KettleWorx cardio DVD then went for my walk. Then to Aldi. See, with the new phones we have a new shopping list. This one Vince can add something to. The other one I had only I could add to it. So I wanted to get the things on the list so that I could delete it. Then went to Food Lion. I tell you, you have to be careful at that store. Last time I was there they didn’t give me the sale price on these hamburgers. Admitted, it’s only $1, but still…..
Today they had Pepsi on sale, BOGO with a limit of 8 free. So I asked for a raincheck. The guy wrote down that the quantity was 8. So I said “shouldn’t it say 8 offers?” That’s when he changed the quantity to 16 which is what it should have been. This happened to me once before. Bought a bit of fruit. Yes, it would have been cheaper at Aldi. However, by buying this fruit, I got $3 off my next order. Barbara, I check receipts, too
Thank you all for you comments about the angelfish. The first one is the larger of the two. I have them side-by-side. Vince thinks I should have done 4 coats of paint for the orange. Probably so. But the sample didn’t show it streaking
Mary – I agree with you, this IS a great group to be part of. You can vent and no one judges you. They only give advice, sometimes because of personal experience.
On that note: we’re supposed to go to a friend's house (Steve) this weekend. He’s the person who stops by here on his was to/from FL. Every year he has a “picnic”. Yes, it’s about a 9hr drive. But to me, what’s the big deal. On our way home we usually stop to see Denise, Pete and PJ (one of the times I get to see him) for a day. We go to Steve’s on Fri, the picnic is Sat., we leave there Sun and spend the day with Denise, leave for home Mon. That’s the plan.
Well, yesterday, Vince said to me that he’s not looking forward to this weekend. When I asked him “why” he said about the long drive. I just told him to take my car and I would drive part of the way. I texted Denise twice that we would be there, no response. I texted Pete. Vince texted Denise. Still no response. So I told him that if she’s not there, we’ll just leave things for her and PJ in the garage. Fortunately, I have the code to get in.
Carla – HUG
Just placed an order for low sodium chicken stuffing at Amazon. The only store I can get it in is Food Lion and they haven’t had it in a really long time. Amazon is something like 5 cents more, but I’ll have it. When I used my points, it actually wound up being free
Lanette – regarding dh’s drums, guitars etc. Have you ever thought of putting them up on Craigslist? Donating sounds good
Which reminds me, I should go to the Salvation Army to make a donation.
