Hi all, I'm glad to be back for another month of this great challenge, thanks so much @jm216
I really want to ramp up my efforts this month and try and make some headway, as I've been slacking the last few months and trudging along. My birthday at the end of August is my target to get my trend weight to 140lbs, which is 6.4lbs away, so I need to FOCUS! I have a trip away for the last 9 days of this month so my challenge is to try to get to 144lbs by then, 1.6lbs in 20 days. It's going to be tough, my body can be very stubborn when it comes to weight loss, but I'm going to try and hit my goals every day.

Hi! My name's Lori and I'm 53. I am on a journey to a better me. I am very excited to join you ladies and gents in supporting each other! I currently record everything everyday now since 2/21/23 due to Type II Diabetes and poor health. Since 3/1/23 I have discontinued my oral diabetic meds, discontinued taking my daytime insulin taper, and am down from taking my overnight long acting insulin from 50 units each night to 12 Units twice a day....I will reverse my Diabetes and then no-one will be able to stop me!! I'm also down 35 lbs and my fasting glucose is down to between 110-125. I am willing to track everyday and share my progress with people who are glad to hear it...not everyone understands those of us that don't just eat whatever is around us at the time...I have past up food days once a week, and monthly birthday food days, and 3 personal family get togethers, since the first of the year...so easy peasy right?...yeah right...lol I am excited to hear about all of your success's even the NSV's, so bring it on...I will also try to share my ideas and recipes (if I have any)...I'm definitely not Betty Crocker...lol But, Support you can count on!! Luck and strength!!!4

06/04-195.4-(Trend Weight 195.0)- Another day or mis-step finally caught up to me? Perhaps. After all, yesterday was a relatively good day. However, the key word is โrelativelyโ, isnโt it? Gotta re-think my nightly dinners as itโs leaving me too hungry at night. Hunger my snacks do not help to relieve. Iโm not eating until 9 โ 10:00 pm as it is. Thought it would help to eat later and have been doing that for a week now. No help. Healthy fat snacks usually really help me but donโt seem to be doing it right now. Iโve got to re-think my whole eating patterns.
06/05-195.6-(Trend Weight 195.1)- More night time snacks. Ugh. Not very healthy oneโs either. Gotta put more thought into this, my plan last night didnโt work.

Hi, Everyone! I am a 5'4", 45 year-old married female with four kids. I am a two-time cancer survivor, which put me into Early Menopause, and also have Hypothyroidism. Nothing has been consistent in my life for a while now and it is reflecting on the scale.

I was let go from my job yesterday. My bff at work, who is the business manager, had been warning us on the DL for several weeks that the owner had mismanaged funds and was making poor decisions. I should have known this was coming, since my six-month mark was coming where I was to receive a substantial raise. A promotion that I had worked so very hard to achieve. I was told that they are "restructuring" and my position was being eliminated, so I would be eligible for unemployment. Unemployment is not going to cover our bills while my husband is recovering from his cervical spine fusion surgery. I am trying to embrace that this will be a good thing in the long run, but I am so going to so miss the clients that I never had the chance to say goodbye to, the type of law I was doing, and my fabulous co-workers. We really were a great team who could have done so much together.
I am an emotional eater with binging tendencies, but I was so sick on my stomach yesterday that I could not eat anything. My kids are home on summer vacation, the house needs some cleaning, the yard needs some weeding, and there's other jobs out there somewhere. A lot of positives can be made out of this.7

Enough about me. Is your knee still hurting, @HASWLRS? I ask because I thought I had hurt my knees during my "Covid" walks when I was pushing myself hard, but I had actually torn a little bit of my lower hamstring. By the time I went into ortho, it had healed but was very tight and I went through a few weeks of PT to stretch it.
@jm216 - Thank you so much for sharing the puppy pictures! The sweetness touches my heart!1
